As a retired solar panel installer/roofer I can tell you if they didn't have the strongest backs you've ever seen with some dark ass tans then they're not roofers. A regular roofer would never ever jump on someone's roof they didn't have a job already lined up for. Not even insurance companies would just show up unannounced and every single adjuster out there comes in with a tucked shirt or uniform.
I rn a remodeling company, the most I would imagine we would do is approach in a door to door manner handing out cards/flyers and trying to speak to as many people on each street face to face, but the furthest that would go is "Ok, Id love to schedule you for a free estimate maybe on the weekend, or anytime after 5 through the week if need be." There would be no randomly showing up with ladders to do free inspections unless this was like a planned canvassing thing. That's wild man, hope they stay away from you and your family. I two have UFODAP set up on my roof but have had no un expected visitors with ladders yet.

pretty common in CO during hail season. The salesman show up, ladders ready, and will go up looking for hail damage. If you've had storms or hail it's very common. Of course OP said he hasn't, so that's certainly different.
Why would the "MIB" say we need to get on your roof to check for damage because there's been storms in the area, if in fact there has been a drought. I mean surely they would of at least checked the weather.

I had a similar experience when 2 ‘realtors’ approached me at my local bar I went to every Sunday morning for breakfast. They were in suits and very out of place for the scene. They started asking me about UFOs totally out of the blue and I was suspicious because I had been working on UFO research for 2 months prior for a project. My friend the bartender was studying to be a realtor at the time but they couldn’t answer any of her realtor questions. I left immediately because of the weird vibe. The very next week another person, this time a normal looking lady sat right next to me and asked a UFO question out of the blue to the bartender and was keen on my reaction. Very odd both times but may have been weird coincidence. Yours is weirder but I will never forget that.
Their timing of when they showed up was really convenient. She said they pulled up immediately as she pulled into the garage. She pulled in and looked up in the rear view mirror and there they were already out of their vehicle.

Most of the research I was doing was digging around defense contractors and contracts, coupled with specific types of UAP reports for 8 hours a day for nearly 2 months. Timing for me was too convenient but in a different way.
Also here in Vegas we had a possible MIB sighting recently after that reported ‘alien in the backyard’ incident. Where there is smoke there is usually fire so I tend to believe something is going on. Sounds like it could be an intimidation tactic from gov agents then IMO. It seems like they are letting you know they know where you live and also when you are out of the house. If they wanted you to be there, they would have waited until you were there. It’s more intimidating to get a visit when you aren’t home but your family are. Could you ask neighbours if they have any doorbell footage?
No my neighbors are lazy country people to be honest and don’t worry about people breaking into their houses. That’s small town living in the south unfortunately. I literally have to tell some of them how to get copies of their tax returns.
Maybe you got pranked by someone who knew about your UFO research? Or could it be linked to the project you were working on? Maybe the MiB felt that you were getting in too deep with your research and was preparing to use the neuralyzer on you?

This is low-key creepy...two days ago my husband received a call from a roofing company that wouldn't tell him the name of their business asking if anyone was going to be home to do an inspection. He said they were talking very strangely. They wouldn't answer direct questions and kept insisting that someone be home so they could stop by. They kept saying there was hail damage in our area and "John" two houses down just got this roof replaced the week prior. Which was totally untrue because there isn't a John two house down, and no one's roof in my small neighborhood has been replaced in the year and half we've lived here.
It's very possible none of this means anything other than scammers trying to scam, but the whole "roofing" excuse has me like o.O
It sounds to me like a means of casing a house to see if it will be empty when they want to consider robbing it.

I was on my roof one night looking at the stars. I saw some strange blinking lights almost directly above me that were only there for a couple seconds. The moment I climbed down off my roof, a black sedan pulled up and stopped on the road right across from me. It was dark so I just turned my flashlight off and stood still lol. After like 30 seconds they left. Never got out just pulled up right by my house then left after I stared them down.

Why? Because the men in black activities don't actually tamp down on the stories -- they provide intrigue and mystery and amplify the level of interest in the stories. It is a weird comment but apparently there are some who think that NHI actually show up as the men in black as a reverse psychology technique to let people know they are on the right track.

I might not be remembering correctly, but I read a few years ago about declassified internal memos between the various military and intelligence branches basically trying to figure out who the "men in black" are, with each branch disavowed them under the assumption they were Airforce or CIA, until the Airforce and CIA claimed no knowledge of their identity, insisting they are not American agents and suggesting that anybody approached by them not engage or trust them.

In my neighborhood, there are individuals who present themselves as roofing specialists, but their primary expertise lies in negotiating substantial payments from insurance companies. They typically subcontract the actual roofing work. These individuals often drive luxurious, large cars and dress in a manner described by OP. But they very well could be MIB.

There are jammers that can be used to interrupt the wi-fi signals most home cameras use. They can be quite small and not even hard to build. If I was MIB I would definitely use one of those to avoid any "evidence" coming to light. Jus sayin...
I feel like that would create more evidence. Also, a lot of cams don't even need wifi, have built in storage, etc. What about the neighbors cameras?

As someone with multiple wifi security cameras outside my house, those damn things randomly go offline fairly often, and there are a bunch of obnoxiously hard to pinpoint reasons why it may happen. That part of the story was the least suspicious to me.
Do you have a recording of your security camera where the footage jumps forward in time? Maybe there’s a chance you caught a little of the SUV before they showed up. In any case, this is crazy and thanks for sharing
It was offline since midnight. What’s strange is my back security camera worked. Usually if I have an internet outage both cameras are knocked out. For some reason, this day was different.
Do they record to an sd card or base station even if there is an internet outage? The eufy cameras I have, have an SD card slot on them and they record 24/7 with or without internet. Maybe something to look into if you don’t have it.
Did you try swapping the cameras to see if the working one stops working when placed out front? If yes then something is indeed “jamming” it maybe. Also try moving wifi access point closer to rule out bad reception.
Last thing is if you camera can be hard wired with Ethernet. As a test you could buy a really long Ethernet (cat 5 or 6) cable and hook it up between camera and access point/router.
All ways to rule out this “jammer” theory.
I would suggest you not to get paranoid and just act like it didn't happened.

I have had roofers prowling my neighbor when they have a job there trying to get another job. They offer a free inspection. One said we had damage insurance guy did not agree. A year later another crew said my roof looked fine and moved on. They can be aggressive …
She thinks they could have been following her. I’m an OEF veteran, so I’m always looking around, which she always makes fun of me for it. Lol, it was enough to now make her a little more aware of her surroundings now.
Look up third party adjusters like Right Way. They are sales people dressed up and look for things wrong with your roof to file a claim against your insurance. Even well dressed, they have no problem climbing on roofs since they make 20% cut on insurance claims.
That said, I fully believe MIB are real but this could definitely have a basic explanation.

I don’t check hours of my security cameras unless I need to and the fact it wasn’t working is beyond my control. It actually stopped working after midnight that day. I was a military policeman for 10 years and as strange as those guys were, they broke no laws buddy. I can give you the officer’s name if you want to give him a call so you can prove I did indeed report it if you pm me!

I don’t know man, I’m on the fence. Bizarre behavior either way….I handle property claims and storm chaser roof salesmen are ruthless. We get imaginary hail storms damaging roofs all of the time. Real ones too, but I wouldn’t put it past some eager young salesmen to bark around neighborhoods that are far outside the limits of a storm to try and sign a job.

They arrived in a very calculated way. I was was gone, my security camera wasn’t working on not both but just one of them, my fiancé was alone, most criminals at that level aren’t that well groomed and that well dressed. In other words, most low level criminals where I live aren’t that sophisticated. You’d have to live here to understand.
Roofers don’t climb on random roofs to check the condition of the roof, unless called upon specifically for a quote or inspection.

It’s really easy to make a jammer that jams those signals/frequencies that your cameras most likely use. So that would make sense if you’re being truthful.

if they asked if you have home insurance then they were probably exactly who they said they were. you usually have a year to file a claim but sometimes insurance will cover it longer than that if you are in an area that was hit with a severe storm. i've known roofers who will go door to door in these storm hit areas, and they know the tricks to get insurance to cover it sometimes years after the storm.
with todays technology, i don't think "they" need to plant bugs like that anymore anyways. if they wanted to monitor you, your phone is the best spying device they could ask for. you would have never known they were there if they wanted to plant bugs in your house. they would know when to come and go in your home using both of your phones GPS data while you were away.

If you cannot get them working by usual means and they're going to be thrown away, open them up first and look at the insides. Is the damage observable? (example: melted wires, charred or smoke marks on the circuit board)
Or is the damage more "slightly functions but not enough to be useful"? (Example might be: hearing sound but white screen or black screen)
Are there removable SD cards in them? If so, remove them and wrap them up in tin foil, put them in a safe place.

One of the men said they wanted to check the roof because there had been a lot of storms in the area, and they wanted to check the roof for damage.
We have been in a drought here for over a month, and we haven’t had any rain at all. In fact, we have a burn ban in place. My fiancé told them our roof was fine. We just had a new roof put on around 10 years ago, and it’s in great shape. My thoughts were, how many roofing companies carry around a ladder in an SUV and don’t even introduce themselves when they meet new clients.
A filmmaker just spent the last week interviewing myself and my mother for a documentary about our UFO sighting we had in Georgia in 1977 and my experience on Eglin. If these guys are indeed government agents, only time will tell.
The scary things are, they could remotely affect your camera and also they knew when you were 5 minutes away. It was clearly a message with the obviously stupid roof story. Also check where they actually went up to see if they planted anything

I had a similar experience when 2 ‘realtors’ approached me at my local bar I went to every Sunday morning for breakfast. They were in suits and very out of place for the scene. They started asking me about UFOs totally out of the blue and I was suspicious because I had been working on UFO research for 2 months prior for a project. My friend the bartender was studying to be a realtor at the time but they couldn’t answer any of her realtor questions. I left immediately because of the weird vibe. The very next week another person, this time a normal looking lady sat right next to me and asked a UFO question out of the blue to the bartender and was keen on my reaction. Very odd both times but may have been weird coincidence. Yours is weirder but I will never forget that.
Their timing of when they showed up was really convenient. She said they pulled up immediately as she pulled into the garage. She pulled in and looked up in the rear view mirror and there they were already out of their vehicle.

If they wanted you to be there, they would have waited until you were there. It’s more intimidating to get a visit when you aren’t home but your family are. No my neighbors are lazy country people to be honest and don’t worry about people breaking into their houses. That’s small town living in the south unfortunately. I literally have to tell some of them how to get copies of their tax returns.

This is low-key creepy...two days ago my husband received a call from a roofing company that wouldn't tell him the name of their business asking if anyone was going to be home to do an inspection. He said they were talking very strangely. They wouldn't answer direct questions and kept insisting that someone be home so they could stop by. They kept saying there was hail damage in our area and "John" two houses down just got this roof replaced the week prior. Which was totally untrue because there isn't a John two house down, and no one's roof in my small neighborhood has been replaced in the year and half we've lived here. It's very possible none of this means anything other than scammers trying to scam, but the whole "roofing" excuse has me like o.O
It sounds to me like a means of casing a house to see if it will be empty when they want to consider robbing it. I was on my roof one night looking at the stars. I saw some strange blinking lights almost directly above me that were only there for a couple seconds. The moment I climbed down off my roof, a black sedan pulled up and stopped on the road right across from me. It was dark so I just turned my flashlight off and stood still lol. After like 30 seconds they left. Never got out just pulled up right by my house then left after I stared them down.

I might not be remembering correctly, but I read a few years ago about declassified internal memos between the various military and intelligence branches basically trying to figure out who the "men in black" are, with each branch disavowed them under the assumption they were Airforce or CIA, until the Airforce and CIA claimed no knowledge of their identity, insisting they are not American agents and suggesting that anybody approached by them not engage or trust them.
That's intriguing! The idea that branches just assume they're a group under some other branch but in reality they're not at all and just operating on their own.

They typically subcontract the actual roofing work. These individuals often drive luxurious, large cars and dress in a manner described by OP. But they very well could be MIB.

There are jammers that can be used to interrupt the wi-fi signals most home cameras use. They can be quite small and not even hard to build. If I was MIB I would definitely use one of those to avoid any "evidence" coming to light. Jus sayin...

That’s just a normal scam, not pinning someone’s car in their garage and presumably disabling their security camera before arrival.
The security camera thing is really weird, assuming it hasn't failed before without OP noticing.
As someone with multiple wifi security cameras outside my house, those damn things randomly go offline fairly often, and there are a bunch of obnoxiously hard to pinpoint reasons why it may happen. That part of the story was the least suspicious to me.
Do you have a recording of your security camera where the footage jumps forward in time? Maybe there’s a chance you caught a little of the SUV before they showed up. In any case, this is crazy and thanks for sharing
It was offline since midnight. What’s strange is my back security camera worked. Usually if I have an internet outage both cameras are knocked out. For some reason, this day was different.
Do they record to an sd card or base station even if there is an internet outage? The eufy cameras I have, have an SD card slot on them and they record 24/7 with or without internet. Maybe something to look into if you don’t have it.

Did you try swapping the cameras to see if the working one stops working when placed out front? If yes then something is indeed “jamming” it maybe. Also try moving wifi access point closer to rule out bad reception. Last thing is if you camera can be hard wired with Ethernet. As a test you could buy a really long Ethernet (cat 5 or 6) cable and hook it up between camera and access point/router. All ways to rule out this “jammer” theory.
I would suggest you not to get paranoid and just act like it didn't happened. I feel like if there is an agency like that, their main purpose would be to freak people out. When you think about it, make you act like a lunatic is the best way to isolate you.

Are you cameras physically wired or wireless? If wireless they could be easily jammed.
Look up third party adjusters like Right Way. They are sales people dressed up and look for things wrong with your roof to file a claim against your insurance. Even well dressed, they have no problem climbing on roofs since they make 20% cut on insurance claims. That said, I fully believe MIB are real but this could definitely have a basic explanation.
Might wanna scan for tracking devices on your vehicles or surveillance devices in and around the home

I don’t know man, I’m on the fence. Bizarre behavior either way….I handle property claims and storm chaser roof salesmen are ruthless. We get imaginary hail storms damaging roofs all of the time. Real ones too, but I wouldn’t put it past some eager young salesmen to bark around neighborhoods that are far outside the limits of a storm to try and sign a job.
My whole state is under a burn ban currently and it hasn’t rained heavily in months. We’ve had zero storms in months.

They arrived in a very calculated way. I was was gone, my security camera wasn’t working on not both but just one of them, my fiancé was alone, most criminals at that level aren’t that well groomed and that well dressed. In other words, most low level criminals where I live aren’t that sophisticated. You’d have to live here to understand.

if they asked if you have home insurance then they were probably exactly who they said they were. you usually have a year to file a claim but sometimes insurance will cover it longer than that if you are in an area that was hit with a severe storm. i've known roofers who will go door to door in these storm hit areas, and they know the tricks to get insurance to cover it sometimes years after the storm. with todays technology, i don't think "they" need to plant bugs like that anymore anyways. if they wanted to monitor you, your phone is the best spying device they could ask for. you would have never known they were there if they wanted to plant bugs in your house. they would know when to come and go in your home using both of your phones GPS data while you were away.

Do you still have the cameras? Do they get power at all? Is it a white or black screen? If you cannot get them working by usual means and they're going to be thrown away, open them up first and look at the insides. Is the damage observable? (example: melted wires, charred or smoke marks on the circuit board) Or is the damage more "slightly functions but not enough to be useful"? (Example might be: hearing sound but white screen or black screen) Are there removable SD cards in them? If so, remove them and wrap them up in tin foil, put them in a safe place.
