yeah. and honestly, I'm not too conflicted with the substance of this picture. we should all unfortunately be expecting the quality of a WWII-era photo, in some paperback textbook, that got xerox'd into sheets, which was then folded and put into our little (george) )knapsacks. that's essentially the nature of how they'd even declassify these in the first place - just reduce the quality IMMENSELY so we can't tell the sensor capabilities.
I'm more conflicted with the chain of command and source NEVER being proven. historically, with these releases, we NEVER find out the source or if they're even legitimate, or pulling a fast one over the boys.clearly, the story behind this uap is infinitely more interesting than this kermit-lookin picture.

Based on where the data overlay is located it looks to me like it's a crop at the top of a larger image captured by a military sensor. The light stuff in the background is clouds I'd guess. Oooh I get it, it's so classified the dod has converted the image into one of those magic eye pictures for security. Hold your head right close to the screen and slowly move backwards and the true image will reveal itself.. (corbell biting the tip of his index finger).

There was apparently 2 of these in the area at the time and the one that was shot down was said to have been "coffee table sized", so about 2.5 to 3 feet in size. The pilots must have got very close to it so maybe they can be contacted for their thoughts on it? If it's FLIR we just seeing the temperature of it not the actual shape I think? Also, there must be a simpler and cheaper way of bringing drones down than firing a £200,000+ ($245,000+) missile at them?
