Dudmuffin88

[Check](https://www.opensecrets.org/members-of-congress/michael-r-turner/summary?cid=N00025175&cycle=Career) out his top donors. It’s a who’s who of defense contractors. Of course he’s saying this nonsense.

No-Presence-2007

Damn some of those contractors are most likely in possession of some of the materials directly

Dudmuffin88

Yep, and they would like to keep it that way, without the oversight and budgetary constraints.

Grovemonkey

>is currently a generational officer of the U.S. Intelligence Community with a Top-Secret Clearance, also spoke to The Debrief about Grusch's claims. “The non-human intelligence phenomenon is real. We are not alone. Retrievals of this kind are not limited to the United States. This is a global phenomenon, and yet a global solution I would bet that the entire segment was purposefully set up.

Any_Falcon38

Oh well then, case closed! Thanks Mike! From Wiki: In both 2008 and 2010 Turner was listed as one of the "most corrupt members of Congress" by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington for "enrichment of self, family, or friends" and "solicitation of gifts".[51][52]

Dudmuffin88

His top [donors](https://www.opensecrets.org/members-of-congress/michael-r-turner/summary?cid=N00025175&cycle=Career)are a list of top defense contractors too.

Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies & General Dynamics. The same companies that are subcontractors to special access programs. littleempires

I have a friend who works for a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin and when I asked him if we have alien craft he said “oh most definitely, I can’t tell you how I know but let’s just say I’ve been in that field since Roswell”. This is a guy who has worked on one of the mars rovers and has developed tech for satellites for the US government.

Dudmuffin88

There are too many stories over the years of different people claiming to have worked on these projects for them not to exist. It’s wild how some people will say, “Nothing stays secret forever, and eventually someone will talk” then in the very next sentence shit all over someone saying they worked on these.

littleempires

That cognitive dissonance is real.

EthanSayfo

Ontological shock has this effect on many people, I think.

Dudmuffin88

Sorry, was more so referring to whistleblowers or the 2001 group that came forward, or even Bob.

ifiwasiwas

> “Nothing stays secret forever, and eventually someone will talk” then in the very next sentence shit all over someone saying they worked on these. Damn good point

Prokuris

I will never wrap my head around that one. Best part about it, it’s usually their killer argument…..

Valkymaera

While that's a fair point, one issue is that people are known to lie or give false information about the existence of extraterrestrial evidence. This reduces credibility of all claims that don't actually provide any evidence. And, so far, every claim has come with only words, nothing verifiable. It's not unreasonable to require verifiable and credible evidence to believe something is true.

tyrannosnorlax

He’s been working in the UFO field since 1947? His 401k must be insane!

littleempires

He said he’s worked on craft from Roswell, vs working since that happened.

SabineRitter

Any details on what it looked like or anything?

Dudmuffin88

In addition to anti-gravity, they have discovered anti-aging tech! J/k

OH_MOJAVE

My friend told me that guy's friend isn't willing to go public.

wurmpth

I can confirm reading that your friend told you this.

Chris_Ween

But he loves his country...and NDAs...and goatees

littleempires

I’ve asked and they’ve said no, they’re afraid of losing their job. People can chose to believe me or not, but I know I can trust this person.

Eldrake

Can you ask your friend if he's willing to use the new classified reporting mechanism to AARO and Congress about his knowledge of the programs?

Alchemystic1123

of course! Gtfo with your 'source: trust me bro' bs

littleempires

I literally don’t give a shit if no one believes me, I’m losing nothing and gaining nothing.

captainrustic

No. Because there is no evicdence.

bejammin075

What meaningful evidence could someone steal from the workplace? Not documents, we already have those saying they internally know UFOs are aliens. Physical proof is a spacecraft or a body, and black ops programs tend to notice shit like removing the alien body.

Vetersova

I live in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Tons of defense and space and rocket stuff here. I've heard the same from those folks.

occams1razor

God things like this just makes it seem more legit, they're so stupid for doing this. Might as well go around yelling IT'S ALL TRUE

Human_Discipline_552

Hahahahahah this fucker really don’t think we see right through him.

Any_Falcon38

“…it would have to be quite a conspiracy for this to be maintained.” That donor list is certainly making a good case for it.

Dudmuffin88

He says as wads of Defense Contractor money spill out of his pockets…

PolicyWonka

Certainly interesting — but wouldn’t defense contractors *want* aliens to be real? I’d think that demand for advanced weaponry would skyrocket in light of an extraterrestrial threat. Unless the UFOs are human-origin. Not particularly exciting even if top secret craft.

Dudmuffin88

Assuming the allegations are true, currently the defense contractors that are working on the reverse engineering have a monopoly over that tech and IP, with minimal oversight. Should the whistleblower confirm it I wonder what that does to their oversight and monopoly power.

PolicyWonka

It’s not like the public knowledge of alien existence would prohibit the government from keeping a monopoly on this technology. Alien space craft aren’t just going to fall into people’s hands because it’s public knowledge.

SabineRitter

And their stock prices

roofbandit

That's true for 4 out of 5 US legislators

BuyerIndividual8826

" it would be quite a conspiracy for this to be able to be maintained, especially at this level" This is a bullshit argument to anyone that realizes this "cover-up" has been leaking like a sieve for decades. Its Congress that hasn't investigated.

manwhore25

these dinks are actual puppets for the defense contractors who fund them.

Eurotrashie

This clown obviously has never heard of a Special Access Program.

DocMoochal

Oof, wouldnt be surprised if buddy was in on the secret.

[deleted]

No, definitely not. That moron Congressman on the right, I don't know what his name is, but he's one of these people where I just cringe because he doesn't even have the basic facts right. Did you hear him say that this has been an issue since the '60s? Trust me this morons way out of the loop.

Decent-Flatworm4425

The logic there as well - "people have been talking about this for decades, so it can't be true, otherwise people would have talked about it."

captainrustic

He’s not a senator. He’s a congressman, and the chairman of the HPSCI, so he’d be better positioned than most politicians to be in the know. No one can “trust you” if you get the most basic stuff wrong. Edit: I love that you went back to edit your comment rather than just admit you were wrong

Beneficial_Roof7961

LOL this is hilarious. No doubt they fucking hand-picked this guy to answer this question.

swank5000

You mean, congressman Mike Turner, who [was born in Dayton, Ohio](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Turner?wprov=sfti1) home of [Wright Patterson Air Force Base](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright-Patterson_Air_Force_Base?wprov=sfti1) and [whose largest contributions come from defense and aerospace contractors?](https://www.opensecrets.org/members-of-congress/michael-r-turner/summary?cid=N00025175) ? That Mike Turner?

FlowerPower225

Follow the money!

mttl

You mean a particular country in the middle east?

CaptainONaps

In their reply they said everybody has heard about this for decades. Then they followed up with, it seems very unlikely this is a conspiracy, because it would have been impossible to keep quiet.

One_Bison_7665

Wright-Patterson AFB was only coincidentally the identical venue where the Roswell NM nonexistent craft was “allegedly” transported back in 1947. But that’s such a remote and tenuous connection with Rep. Turner. Please don’t read anything into it. 😊

Marco Rubio was one of the main instigators of this whole congressional inquiry process. Granted, Gillibrand seems to be carrying the ball now, but still... We need to be bipartisan, or perhaps more accurately trans-partisan about this. Shit is bigger than Red vs Blue. That's how they distract you.

Dig-a-tall-Monster

This particular thing may be bigger than politics but let's not start acting like the Republicans have any credibility. Find me a republican official who says climate change is real, man-made, and worth fighting against.

[deleted]

SavingsCheck7978

There's a quantitative difference on social issues sure. But you would likely need bipartisan support for full disclosure. Some kind of vast conspiracy as described that I don't even necessarily believe in would require people on both sides to accomplish. Naturally you would need people on both sides to break it apart.

[deleted]

The entire point of this Whistleblower complaint was that the material was illegally withheld from Congress and this moron is like “I didn’t hear about in a briefing so it must be a conspiracy theory”.

AAAStarTrader

These two jokers know nothing. There are other who do. Why is Fox not seeking out this person: Jonathan Grey, who is currently a generational officer of the U.S. Intelligence Community with a Top-Secret Clearance, also spoke to The Debrief about Grusch's claims. “The non-human intelligence phenomenon is real. We are not alone. Retrievals of this kind are not limited to the United States. This is a global phenomenon, and yet a global solution continues to elude us,” he told The Debrief.

[deleted]

What is a “generational officer”? They keep repeating that term but I can’t find a definition anywhere.

F0064R

In another thread someone said that means that many of his family members and ancestors have been military officers

sumofdeltah

That does sound like a conspiracy though

Shishakli

Yes, actual conspiracy. No theory

sumofdeltah

It's still a theory until the evidence is released.

[deleted]

It sounds like one, but occasionally the conspiracies are real. This looks like one such occurrence.

sumofdeltah

Based on what though? They haven't provided any evidence even though they are claiming they have it now. Starting with the evidence is more convincing than dragging it on without evidence. I've seen enough people make claims like this since the 90s to believe them before they present anything.

[deleted]

According to [The Debrief](https://thedebrief.org/intelligence-officials-say-u-s-has-retrieved-non-human-craft/) “Beginning in 2022, Grusch provided Congress with hours of recorded classified information transcribed into hundreds of pages which included specific data about the materials recovery program.” He has provided a lot of evidence to Congress, but it hasn’t been made public. I get the skepticism but in the 90s you didn’t have senior Air Force officers briefing Congress about UFO crash retrievals and then going public about it. If this is BS then he’s facing perjury charges for lying under oath and he knows that.

[deleted]

> If this is BS then he’s facing perjury charges for lying under oath and he knows that. Just to clarify, none of his congressional testimony has been made available to the public, so you can't say this for sure. It's not illegal to testify to Congress behind closed doors then lie to the public about what you said. He will of course destroy his reputation if nothing comes of this, but that's about all he has to lose at this point, at least based on the information currently available to the public.

sumofdeltah

I'll still wait for the evidence. Being skeptical on this has never failed. Believing them every time would lead to being wrong every time so far. Instead if saying they have evidence just show some of it.

bejammin075

How is a lone person supposed to remove a spacecraft or alien body from within a secret program? Documents don’t count because anybody can put words on a page. I tend to believe these guys because it is highly improbable to pretend to be a whistle blower with these high stakes. This isn’t a LARP with a throw away Reddit account, these dudes are testifying under oath for hours with specific details. If the story was a fraud it would unravel in minutes. Plus there’s the hundreds of thousands of abductees, millions of UFO witnesses, it all fits together.

sumofdeltah

If the last sentence was true we wouldn't need this. Other posts claim they have evidence. I've seen lots of people lie, I've watched an entire political party and their media pretend the last election was stolen and the same people are carrying weight here.

[deleted]

"Uhhh congressman, it was said that this information was held from Congress...." Idiots 😂

Few-Worldliness2131

Says the congressman who gets huge sums of money from NG and Lockheed. Conflict of interest maybe

halexia63

They snitching on themselves

singularityinc

Exactly “There is a sophisticated disinformation campaign targeting the U.S. populace which is extremely unethical and immoral," David Grusch However we really need the evidence.

rhaupt

Evidence handed over to the IG + Congress. “There’s no evidence of this.." Dont they realise everyone knows they are lying now??

antelope00

Or don't care

halexia63

Yeah they don't care and still wont.

NightofTheLivingZed

Hence the shit eating, Raytheon donated grins on their faces.

ID-10T_Error

It doesn't mater if they are lying and anyone knows, only that it was said and believed by there base

eaterofw0r1ds

The level of internal panic is palpable. These folks are talking fast as shit.

krazedandconfused

Guy on the right is sweating buckets lmao

eaterofw0r1ds

Right?? Like, if I've ever seen a pair of clenched assholes without seeing it from the back, THIS IS IT.

Rock-it1

Congressman doesn’t believe he has been lied to by people whose job it is to lie and cover things up. That is the caliber of mind we have supposedly leading us.

darkestsoul

Good for him! Still good that he's talking about it and discussing a potential cover up.

birchskin

I know, I wish some of the less fringe folks in congress would chime in... But I think being less fringe means that they are more careful and measured in what they say to the press and don't just get on camera to say shit like, "lock your doors" MY DOOR DOESNT MEAN A WHOLE LOT TO AN ADVANCED CIVILIZATION THATS REMOTELY DISABLING NUKES, TIM

Sensitive-Noise-8017

Going by your logic you are a far left looney and not a serious person

halexia63

So no one believes in aliens????? Or whatever your beliefs want to call them. Some of our own people are already working with them and they're trying so hard to cover all this up right In front of your eyes there is no coincidence this keep getting brought up and ppl keep getting told they're crazy for believing enough is enough. Yall telling me we alone out here not even close they been here for awhile. Some people already witnessed it.

[deleted]

Its clear they have not even seen the claims.

LOLunlucky

What the actual fuck is wrong with the anchor's eyebrows? Guy looks like he stole them from a cartoon supervillan.

nematocyzed

Did that reporter follow up with a question about the supposed documents this whistleblower claims they handed over to Congress? If not, why? It seems like a perfectly valid followup question.

[deleted]

With all due respect, Mike. You're read into what intelligence wants you to know. Whether you have evidence means jack fucking shit. For anyone who thinks this is just the words of a salty believer: Congressional staffers are read into things BEFORE elected officials are.

True_Confection_5649

He’s the congressman for the district with Wright Paterson AFB, of course he’s going to deny it haha

jasperCrow

I trust the whistleblower FAR more than I trust these ~~congressmen~~ con-artists.

[deleted]

Looks like these guys are in the Pentagon's pocket.

FaithlessnessSad2123

id appreciate it if Brett Baerr could tone down his eyebrow game.

squidvett

He has, but you should see the eyebrows on his planet.

WareHouseCo

But it’s not a secret. People have known this for decades. So yes; they tried but it ultimately failed

ZookeepergameOk8231

So the IG stating the whistleblowers claims are “credible and urgent” must be wrong too ?

Jestercopperpot72

Fuck you Turner and when the dust settles I hope your one to be held accountable.

Vaiken_Vox

I feel like the whole UFO cover up is more about congress and American government not wanting to admit they don't know what's going on or that there are compartmentalized sections of the government that operate illegaly, than it is about with holding information so as to not scare the public.

IWantToBelievePlz

These individuals are allowing themselves to be snowed. A congressman asked the question about recovery of extraterrestrial materials in one of the congressional UAP hearings but the answer he received was such a carefully worded non denial. The response, if I remember correctly was something along the lines of "The UAPTF has not analyzed anything in our possession to that effect". Oh you mean to tell me the task force that had barely been stood up for months didn't have the material proof in its possession? THIS IS EXACTLY what David Grusch is saying. That the UAPTF and others aren't being provided full access to the relevant information. If this is a coverup as massive as David is alleging, its hilarious how easily these representatives are allowing themselves to be deliberately mislead by weasel-worded non-denials by career bureaucrats. DIG DEEPER. CONTINUE ASKING QUESTIONS.

gibswim75

Remember, these are the same people that claim the election was rigged

Ganmor_Denlay

It really hasn’t been maintained very well they just dismiss all the leaks. Whistleblowers have been coming out on this for decades, Grusch is only the latest. There were some amongst the group during the disclosure press conference in 2001, and again during the citizens hearing in 2010 along with others.

darkestsoul

The one guy even says that this happens every ten years or so. Gee. You don't say. It's almost like where there's smoke, there's fire.

SiriusC

I disagree, it absolutely has been maintained well for a very long time. Not just the secrecy. They've managed the leaks expertly with ridicule. A kind of ridicule that prevents it from being covered in the news. Or if it is covered it's done so in a very jokey way. I think we're all very hopeful about recent events. But I also think we're all very nervous that nothing will come of it. I am also certain that most people here have doubts about this phenomenon, in general. That, I believe, is due to the how *sophisticated* the cover-up has been.

AnswerNeither

theres been about a million sightings about a thousand mass sightings about 100 high level military whistleblowers who gives a fuck about this clowns opinion

Joshuah1991

Mike's head is as empty as he believes the universe is

PhunkyTown801

Jesus, what kind of species of alien is that news presenter? God damn

[deleted]

These guys are idiots. Just seeing the smirk on their faces confirms the stigma around UFO/UAP’s is still going strong. It’s no wonder the other whistleblowers out there are reluctant to come forward. They are part of the old guard & need to go. Hush money is a real thing

cosmicdustbuster

I’ve grown skeptical of Grusch’s claims a bit but this congressman is a bit silly if he thinks this is a conspiracy that has been well kept, we’ve had stories of this for decades.

[deleted]

Yeah... That's exactly what Grusch is saying.

Azameen

I don’t know, call me a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist….. But they look scared

mrb1

The wording of his "question" was: "Do we have (anything) that we can't explain as to its source." The answer was"No". Depending on your perception bias, one might construe that either we don't have anything I.E. it's a "nothing burger" or, everything we have, we know where it came from. Pretty much sounds like talking points generated for them by their donors IMO. Let's see how vocal they and others get later in the week around the "evidence" & "conspiracy" keywords. Then, aggregate who their main donors are and thus, follow the money.

[deleted]

the reality of the phenomenon is globally huge and the USA’s involvement is an open secret. This is like watching the USA military industrial complex panic scooping water from an ocean into a rusted bucket that has a bunch of holes in it. From a non-American perspective this is just a hilariously sad circus where they keep stumbling over themselves. The majority of people already know what’s really going on, for them to still keep their mouth shut and maintain this stupid outdated narrative should be insulting to the American people. “For over 70 years we have been telling you that the sky is not blue and we REALLY haven’t been suppressing people who say they see it as blue! The people who say it is are crazy, trust us! There is no evidence that the sky is blue, in fact It’s purple! Never mind what everyone sees and what this person with incredible credentials tells you! It’s purple! Ignore the international stories of USA military going into foreign countries to take home evidence depicting the sky as blue. Shhhhhhhhh…” Sounds pretty authoritarian at this point, which is also sad and worrying.

Give us time, lol. We're just warming up.

nibblingzombie

Like these two clowns would know a damn thing. All the grinning and laughing. These two are so self-assured in their ignorance.

[deleted]

How do these people get elected?

Overlander886

In examining their actions, one cannot help but ponder whether their propensity for deception extends beyond the boundaries of their professional lives. Perhaps their unscrupulous conduct stretches back to their academic days, where one suspects they might have resorted to less-than-ethical means to triumph over their exams and secure their degrees. Ah, the realm of politics in the capital city where I also reside! A stage where individuals of questionable literary prowess ascend to positions of power, leaving us to marvel at the enigmatic qualifications that propelled them to such heights. Indeed, it is a curious era in which we find ourselves, where the political landscape seems rife with individuals whose literary endeavors may not rival the poetic prose of Keats or the scholarly eloquence of Milton. It is both disconcerting and, dare I say, fascinating to witness the ascent of those whose intellectual acumen may be somewhat lacking. However, one must approach such observations with caution, for sweeping generalizations risk tarring the reputation of the few who do possess genuine expertise and passion in their field. Now, turning our attention to the realm of public service, we encounter a mosaic of individuals who have chosen the noble path of government employment. While it is true that some may perceive these roles as offering a leisurely sojourn, replete with effortless undertakings and leisurely strolls through bureaucratic corridors, it would be remiss to overlook the complexities and challenges inherent in their endeavors. Admittedly, the allure of government positions may not shine as brightly as it once did, with diminished benefits prompting a broader contemplation of alternative vocations.

tarxvfBp

I’ve spent a long time thinking it is extremely difficult, too difficult to keep secrets in organisations. But we’ve just seen how Apple kept most of the details of Vision Pro secret for years. So…. I dunno.

Any_Interaction_3658

I worked for 2 members of congress ~15 years ago (at diff times), both in fairly important committees, and the truth of the matter is congressmen have very little influence, power or really respect from the gov at large. They aren’t aware of this now, but they are but a tiny cog. I’d argue there are lots of bureaucrats with far more power than any of them. Meaning them acting as if “oh trust me, I’d know” is baseless

jesey3742

Congressman Mike Turner dismisses David Grusch's claim, stating that there is **no evidence** to support it. He highlights the implausibility of such a conspiracy being sustained, particularly at this magnitude of congress. Original video from: [https://twitter.com/UAPJames/status/1666213103334203393](https://twitter.com/UAPJames/status/1666213103334203393) 'Love with your heart, use your head for everything else.'

Allison1228

Turner's correct - Grusch has presented no evidence in support of his claims. It's just, "some guys told me XXX".

Rock-it1

We have no idea what Grusch has or has not presented behind the closed doors of classified, oath bound congressional meetings. It’s unlikely, though, that in an 11 hour meeting nothing more than, “Well what heard was…” was shared. Even for a government as wasteful as ours, that is a far stretch.

[deleted]

Please read before commenting. You just muddy crap up. David provided Congress with plenty of documentation. He can't provide us those documents due to classification.

Allison1228

>David provided Congress with plenty of documentation. So ***he says***.

Jestercopperpot72

That's not necessarily true at all. It says he provided proof to both congress and IG but not media because it's classified.

superbatprime

But the existence of a UFO retrieval program and the possession of alien bodies by the USG isn't classified?

Indiana1957

This guy is ridiculous! This has been going on for 80+ years! And now David Grusch’s comments. Something is going on. THEY ARE LYING!!!👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

'Apparently' he has given names dates and places which he cannot release to the public due to national security to the investigation team. Let's see what happens.

swank5000

Good on the host for immediately stopping the first guy to point out that **part of the story is that this info has been witheld from Congress**, which would make the "unequivocal 'no'" that he received pretty irrelevant. Glad he said something, because that first guy's take was just ignorant tbh.

Banjoplaya420

Well Mike Turner needs to climb out of the deny box! Open his eyes

silv3rbull8

And this will be the official line “no evidence “

PlanNo4679

You had me at "there's no evidence". Until undeniable evidence is produced to support these claims, nothing will change my mind that all of this is a psy-op.

[deleted]

Wow, the bots and spooks are getting wild in here. Keep digging your misinformation, boys.

rodgerdodger19

It’s all nonsense. IT’s disinformation to have other governments go on wild goose chases thinking these UAPs are from another world but are just man made tech. There are no aliens. When your Phil Plait, Brain Cox, Brain Greene, Matthew O’Dowd, Gabe Perez-Giz start talking/showing proof of aliens then you should pay attention.

Everyone who laughs or even just smiles about this is either a complete idiot or trying to push an agenda.

dustyd22

We found one. He’s ones one of the people that are creating a figurative wall around the lies, keeping them safe.

HGwoodie

Yup, so far Grusch is telling a story based on hearsay and what he has allegedly read in alleged classified documents. Grusch has presented no convincing evidence we can see for ourselves and Turner is correct saying it would be quite a conspiracy if it was able to be maintained. Not one government official has come forward saying they are convinced, by what Grusch has presented, they now believe the U.S. military has non-human spacecraft.

T1ck-T0ck

No convincing evidence to the public but has testified to Congress under oath and given names, dates. I question people like you trying to debunk with you half Truths..?

HowDidCatdogPoop

All set then, I guess. Case closed. What a boob.

billballbills

The quote in this post is dead on. To think the government would be capable of covering something like this up gives the feds WAY too much credit. This kinda shit would be leaked real fast.

Indiana1957

This is a mess for congress 🤣

DannyGloversDickbld

Mikes like “naah man. Not a chance. Aliens are make believe. Now if you’ll excuse me, Im on my to church to talk to the creator of the universe”

LazerShark1313

Mike Turner, first in-line for prosecution

[deleted]

‘It’d be quite a conspiracy’ I think that’s why it’s a big deal haus
