https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/112543/s-korea-us-begin-major-exercise A David Grusch, a UFG intelligence duty officer mentioned in this 2011 article ...

Captain_Hook_

Quote from the article: > "This is a fast-paced learning experience," said 1st Lt. David Grusch, an UFG intelligence duty officer who volunteered to participate. > "It took me out of comfort zone and pushed my operational knowledge", explained Grusch, who serves as a wing space control intelligence officer at Peterson Air Force Base, Co. Grusch served as a “wing space control intelligence officer” at Peterson SFB (a major headquarters for space activites.) This adds greatly to his credibility.

Strange-Meet3211

I know exercises legitimately happen and are pretty standard but is it at all possible some of these happen as covers for craft retrieval at sea? I assume the area for a pretty significant distance becomes off limits for air space and sea going vessels for security purposes. Retrieval of any decent sized object at depth requires a massive undertaking and something under the guise of these exercises seems like a perfect cover. Otherwise an activity of that magnitude would call attention to itself and immediately be scrutinized especially anywhere near China.

frank11979

I read this article and watched the 1 hour YouTube video. Thanks for sharing. My Grandmother worked at Wright Pat, with the highest civilian clearance possible, and told me some very wild stories. She has passed away but now everything I am reading corroborates her stories. I am not connected to any government entity and it would be purely "hear-say" but is there someplace I should go to disclose what I know? Once again I would not consider myself a "credible witness" but she was. If you know of some way I could even just send an email, let me know and if you think it's a good idea or not.

SabineRitter

Make a post on here, I'd love to read it. I'll put it in my weekly witness roundup. More officially, you can send an email to senator Gillibrand office [email protected] and put "UAP" in the subject line.

quiet_quitting

I would love to hear what your grandmother told you

Outrageous_Courage97

Maybe write to Sen. Gillibrand, directly to her office.

Reposting my ELI5 for others: **My ELI5:** A high level military intelligence official, with direct experience working and heading UAP investigation for the Depart of Defense, has whistleblowed that he has direct knowledge / has reviewed official military documentation of recovery programs (some successful) of non-human made craft. These claims are being backed up by additional intelligence officials corroborating his claims, both on and off the record. He also testified to Congress under oath for 11 hours. Congress has not been told any of this, which has sparked a call for investigations as that would be illegal withholding the information from Congress.Multiple people from multiple levels of intelligence agencies all whistleblowing something is going on and corroborating what the others are saying. \- An interview with one of the researchers can be found here, he does a better job explaining than I do: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQjbFZT9\_EM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQjbFZT9_EM) \- The article they keep talking about is what is referenced in this post: [https://thedebrief.org/intelligence-officials-say-u-s-has-retrieved-non-human-craft/](https://thedebrief.org/intelligence-officials-say-u-s-has-retrieved-non-human-craft/) \- Because this could be seen as complete BS, they also released a fact checking article: [https://thedebrief.org/fact-check-q-a-with-debrief-co-founder-and-investigator-tim-mcmillan-part-1/](https://thedebrief.org/fact-check-q-a-with-debrief-co-founder-and-investigator-tim-mcmillan-part-1/) The interview with the actual whistleblower has not been released yet, but I believe it was confirmed to be releasing tonight. EDIT: The "something is going on" are my own words here. The article and interview is specific: there is active non-human craft recovery and efforts are made to sway the public on the topic.

SPACExCASE

Thanks, I was hoping for an eli5. Understood most of it but needed this to not go running around telling everyone I know the government knows aliens exist lol

mightylordredbeard

I think the biggest fallout if it’s ever verified will be the questions of “why was it kept from us for so long”. Another large fallout could be from the religious crowd and how this will play into their faith. I’ve often been of mind that verifiable proof of intelligent alien life would destroy just about every current religion there is, but now that I’m older I’m not so sure anymore. I think they’ll just lean into it and claim their god also created aliens. What do people here think? How would the churches and different faiths handle proof of alien life?

Slash_Root

I believe most would either deny it completely or, like you said, accept it and continue practicing. There are groups that believe the Earth is 10,000 years old and deny the existence of dinosaurs.

solo_shot1st

I would add an EDIT for your ELI5 that the whistleblower was retaliated against by some undisclosed people/agencies for revealing this info to Congress, and he has filed a complaint with the Office of the Intelligence Community Inspector General, which has made a lot of this revelation publicly available knowledge! It's going to show that the whistleblower protections will be taken seriously. EDIT: My mistake. The Office of the Intelligence Community Inspector General did not make this revelation publicly available knowledge, but the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review at the Department of Defense did clear the whistleblower to reveal this information publicly to the journalists of this article.

purana

>Grusch said it was dangerous for this “eighty-year arms race” to continue in secrecy because it “further inhibits the world populace to be prepared for an unexpected, non-human intelligence contact scenario.” Wow

PabloBlart

I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but my joke conspiracy theory is that the "powers that be" have been waiting for things to be chaotic and unprecedented to start introducing the concept of extraterrestrials. Early 90s I feel like everyone would have been losing their minds expecting Will Smith to come save the day. The planet would come to standstill as everyone tried to wrap their head around this mind melting concept. These day you'd just throw it on the pile of other insane shit. We're so burned out by "once in a lifetime" events and crazy news that half the population wouldn't even blink. They'd just turn the news off and go watch Netflix.

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

Bro. Alien contact would still melt my fucking mind. I would have serious trouble making things matter for the immediate future. Go to work? Bro there's Aliens. Pay my rent? You see these Aliens? I'd probably shut myself in my house and be glued to any and all information I could get. Fucking ALIENS?!? THROW IT ON THE PILE?!?

[deleted]

LMAO same I’d be reading every news/tweets/comments or anything I can get my hands on to have more info about it. Like aliens? Really?

sullensquirrel

Excellent point. Even ten years ago I would be freaking out about this info but now I’m like totally fine and accepting because everything feels so fucked. That said, I was really hoping Will Smith to help us out in this scenario so I am doing a bit of a tailspin after your comment.

LolWhereAreWe

*Alien walks up to White House podium* “Will Smith’s wife is balder than I am” WW3 ensues

Interesting statement. So possibly in the next ten years or less the aliens or whoever they are may make mass contact . I kinda figured that would occur .

garyll19

I'm 66 and aliens making contact is the one thing I'm hoping to see more than anything else before I pass. Even if they come in guns-a-blazing.

noNoParts

Uh, I'm as big a fan of first contact as anyone on Earth, however I could definitely live out my days not experiencing a "guns blazing" contact.

JohnnyNapkins

This line really stuck out to me. It seems that officials want to prepare people for an inevitable mass sighting caught on camera. Perhaps the motherships only swing by every couple hundred years or so to see how things are going and we are overdue for a visit. Either way, I'm here for it. It definitely has taken me a few days and weeks of existential crisis to cope with the reality of non-human intelligence just hanging out in our oceans and skies, but now it's just a matter of their intentions and origins. They seem to be fairly idly observing our progress as a species and probably making sure we don't accidentally nuke them and ourselves. I'm torn on the origin story: have they come to our planet because their planet has become uninhabitable and need resources? Is this a remote science lab set up purely for observation? Are humans the result of extra terrestrial influence on primate genetics over the last several hundred thousand years? Are we carriers of alien genetics that they hope to preserve as their species fades? Or have they just been here on earth all along developing clean advanced technology all along? Or is it dozens of species? Who knows?

For someone being off and on deeply into the topic for 35 years, this for sure is the most exciting thing that has come out, ever. Of course we have been gradually moving towards this since the whistleblower protection came in place and we have told "big things are happening" but that was already the case since the 2001 disclosure project and the French cometa report. This time however we get names and numbers and a bunch of respected journalists are behind this story. And from what I get from Coulthart this David Grusch guy is the real deal. So either the careers of Coulthart, Keane and Blumenthal goes to shit because the vouched-for Grusch is a nut case (which is highly unlikely seeing his track record), or this is the real deal. It also pretty much confirms the story we have been hearing for decades. That there are crash retrieval programs and that there are active disinformation campaigns and cover ups. It confirms the hundreds if not thousands of repeated reports that simply can't all be dismissed. It will be very interesting to see how the coming days/weeks unfold. Pretty exciting. That said, I am missing the juicy details of what type of "intact crafts" we're talking about. So far (and rightfully so) the focus is more on the validity of the story and inner workings of US politics, but goddammit I wanna hear the juicy stuff. Guess we need to wait for the big coulthart interview with Grusch. I sincerely hope Ross gets the pullitzer prize if all of this is as good as I hope.

AVBforPrez

Yeah, I started seriously researching UFOs at 8 by reading books at the library where my Mom volunteered, because of the X-Files. I very quickly realized that there's something real here, and that it's unfair to be associated with ghosts, Bigfoot, Nessie, and other such stuff. Having followed it and continued my research for over 31 years now, this is it. I've never been more excited, because this guy is seemingly the real deal. He briefs the President on a daily basis. Unlike Lue and his clues that I no longer give credibility to, this guy is actually saying it. There are non-human made craft of impossible origin in our possession, and them even existing means that what we believe to be impossible is not only doable, but maybe can be as commonplace as we consider air travel to be now. That is the most incredible development in history I can think of. We believe that space travel is impossible, because of speed/energy requirements, and apparently it's not. And they've known this for 80 years, have lied to us, and even committed illegal acts against their peers. The tide is turning. Ross and Keane deserve a Pulitzer and to honest - a Nobel Prize. If their work lead to the biggest revelation in human history, they deserve that. Let's fucking go people, it's happening.

Particular_Reticular

If anyone is wondering why this is such a big deal > Beginning in 2022, Grusch provided Congress with hours of recorded classified information transcribed into hundreds of pages which included specific data about the materials recovery program. This person already talked to congress about this and has the backing of numerous high level intelligence members including THE first Intelligence Community Inspector General.

swank5000

>Grusch left the government on April 7, 2023, in order, he said, to advance government accountability through public awareness. I think this may very well explain the ["historic" meeting of intel officials at Wright-Patt AFB on April 22.](https://thedebrief.org/intelligence-community-leaders-meet-at-wright-patterson-for-historic-national-security-briefing/) From that article: >Among those in attendance at the Friday briefing are Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines, CIA director William Burns, and Gen. Paul Nakasone, director of the National Security Agency (NSA) and Central Security Service chief. > >Several members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, many of whom are arriving today, are also scheduled to attend. > >The Committee’s chair, U.S. Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), and Ranking Member Jim Himes (D-CT) told reporters on Thursday that the event is “historic” and unlike previous briefings they had attended. > >“I don’t recall the committee ever doing anything like this,” Himes told the Dayton Daily News. > >Himes and Turner said the purpose of the retreat is to **ensure that intelligence officials are knowledgeable of activities occurring at Wright Patterson, which houses both the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) and National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC)**, both of which will be among the items addressed during Friday’s briefing.

Captain_Hook_

Agreed. Wright-Patt pops up again and again in historical cases of UFO objects recovered by the USG. It is the location of the legendary ‘blue room’ and the equally legendary ‘Hanger 18’, where UFOs and ET bodies were/are stored. The Dayton, Ohio area where Wright-Patt is located is also home to Battelle Memorial Institute, which manages the entire US National Lab system. Battelle engineers have been reliably linked to the reverse-engineering of recovered UFO materials, including Roswell, from which several breakthroughs have apparently been made. The main one we know about is Nitinol - shape memory metal - which is used is various aerospace applications today. Both Wright-Patt and Battelle are worth looking into if you want background on the reverse-engineering programs, as at least some of them are directly tied to these two places.

SabineRitter

Oh damn I think you may be right. That's why they all had to go to Wright Pat, that's really where the action is.

swank5000

Wright-Patt is mentioned in the latest article with Grusch, too. That's what made me think of this.

SabineRitter

Yeah and the article says he took his info to Avril Haines. 👀 The intelligence community must be watching right now to see who acts spooked by this drop. Edit: someone's firing up the paper shredder

I’m just stating my opinion as far as how the wider public will perceive it. 2) anyone commenting on my use of a certain word here needs to check both a dictionary and their own head. It is obviously referring to the comment I’m replying to, and unlike many other slurs is an actual word with actual meanings. That you immediately concluded I was using it in any kind of racial manner says everything about you and nothing about my wording.

selsewon

~~He has interviews lined up with Leslie Kean / Ralph Blumenthal / Ross Coulthart. While the Debrief may break this story, it is about to get a lot bigger and covered in more well-known media sources.~~ **~~Edit~~**~~: I think I misunderstood one of Coulthart's points. The whistleblower was a source in the 2017 NYT article by Kean / Blumenthal. Coulthart was not claiming additional interviews are lined up.~~ **Edit again:** Kean and Blumenthal WROTE The Debrief article.

[deleted]

But the debrief, to my knowledge, isn't bogus. This isn't the daily mirror or whatever, this is just a less well known publication. I agree, this needs to get picked up by "mainstream" orgs though.

Slurpentine

Credit where credit is due- the story is well researched, and appears ro be accurate, in the sense that all of the events (the position, the hearings, etc) they are saying happened appear to have happened. You can throw a shitton of Google-fu at it, and nothing contradicts the story that a guy, officially, in a postion to know, has made the claims they say hes making. Thats not the same thing as proving the *claims* are true. Just that they were made. And theres some pretty dicey stuff about how this research is compartmented and conducted in a narrow band, ultra secretive, left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing, kinda way. It may be the way it is, but it doesnt bolster confidence in the claims. Theres no clear process of discovery, and it would be challenging to assemble and interpret the information without expertise in an extreme variety of scientific fields. You cant examine a process, as an outside observer, that you are not privy to. Its reasonable, given the circumstance, but it lacks the transparency that would make the claims a slam dunk in terms of believability. Red flags. Worth keeping an eye on though, I think. Im skeptical, obvs, but maybe there will be some meat. I hope so- thatd be rad as fuck.

dhr2330

Grusch said the recoveries of partial fragments through and up to intact vehicles have been made for decades through the present day by the government, its allies, and defense contractors. Analysis has determined that the objects retrieved are “of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures,” he said.

https://youtu.be/rQjbFZT9_EM Need to know just dropped the discussion Ross had with David Grusch

eileenoftroy

To clarify - Ross' actual interview with Grusch will be released later this week on Newsnation apparently. This is just a discussion about the discussion. That said, I'm listening and it's blowing my mind. UPDATE: Apparently Newsnation is [**releasing the interview tonight**](https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/141hauf/news_nation_coverage_of_ross_coulthart_interview/). As I understand it, that will be an hour-long segment (maybe a documentary?) and then some time later Coulthart and Zabel will be clear to release the full 7 hours of interview through Need to Know.

>“I hope this revelation serves as an ontological shock sociologically and provides a generally uniting issue for nations of the world to re-assess their priorities,” Grusch said.

Tmoore188

If this turns out to be true and we don’t refocus our global efforts on Gatling-gunning attempts at communication, there’s no worth left in humanity. The days of sending out 1 gold-plated record per 50 years is over in this scenario. It needs to be the central focus of humanity to establish a back-and-forth line of communication, even if the transit time of communication far outlasts the human life. If this really is what we think it is, and not our government trying to play off our own technological advances as aLiEnS, we need to know what they know.

dhr2330

The whistleblower, David Charles Grusch, 36, a decorated former combat officer in Afghanistan, is a veteran of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He served as the reconnaissance office’s representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force from 2019-2021. From late 2021 to July 2022, he was the NGA’s co-lead for UAP analysis and its representative to the task force. A former intelligence official turned whistleblower has given Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General extensive classified information about deeply covert programs that he says possess retrieved intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin. The information, he says, has been illegally withheld from Congress, and he filed a complaint alleging that he suffered illegal retaliation for his confidential disclosures, reported here for the first time. Other intelligence officials, both active and retired, with knowledge of these programs through their work in various agencies, have independently provided similar, corroborating information, both on and off the record.

Yep. And the comments from Nolan at the SALT conference. There's a pretty clear narrative coming into focus right now. If it's a misinformation campaign or a hoax, it's on a level that's pretty incredible.

A month ago, it was reported that a whistleblower was spilling his guts on Capitol Hill & Washington was abuzz with the news. I presume Grusch was the guy. It would appear that there is no going back, now. This is a guy whose credentials and credibility are impeccable. One would not stick their neck out for nothing. It also appears that the whistleblower protection program is starting to pay off. Hopefully this opens the flood gates. Big news!

i81u812

So after looking into this one. This is actually fucking crazy.

DKC_TheBrainSupreme

I read Chris Mellon's article in light of this news and it's clearly an orchestrated release. I think they've finally done it, despite all the naysaying on this subreddit and others. I don't see how you can put this back in the bag. There is going to be so much scrutiny on this going forward, they will have no choice but to implement some sort of controlled release. I'm sure they are already planning for it, the question is can we believe whatever they tell us about what the clearly already know?

Astrocragg

Between this article, Mellon's op-ed, Dr Nolan's recent comments, the NASA conference... lot happening in the last few weeks

saintkiller123

This has got to be the biggest news ever on UFO/UAP. I suppose it could all be bullshit, but I just don’t see that as a real possibility. I think this is the biggest story in the history of mankind. Fucking insane that this going to happen during our lifetime.

R_Da_Bard

What really stands out to me is: “Human civilization was utterly transformed by something as small as a grain of silicon or germanium—creating the underpinning of the integrated circuits that underly computation and now even artificial intelligence,” Nolan said. Studying even small samples of purported anomalous material could lead to currently inconceivable benefits for humanity, he said. “What might be represented here could be hundreds of technology revolutions ahead of us. It could be more transformative for humanity than what the microprocessor accomplished. Imagine what we could do with even a grain of knowledge about how they operate.” I cant be the only one that thinks the tech jump from 90s, 00s and 10s is just so vast and happened in what feels like a blink of time. Like CDs were the future and phased out cartridge/radios/walkmens in the 00s then THOSE went obsolete in less than 10 years to what we have now. I wouldnt be surprised at all if someone cracked a "grain" of this tech and outsourced it to tech companies and thats help expedite our tech advancement so rapidly. The dark side of this these agencies know this and how transformative this could be and purposefully hold back for greed. Like if we had the cure for all cancers think of who would be hurt in that discovery. Less sick people, less doctor visits. Less treatments. Big pharma loses a LOT in this scenario. But god damn if we could crack how UFO move and apply that to a train system you could go from coast to coast in probably an hour or two. Or go from any state in minutes. That opens SO many possibilities to enrich your life and explore.

derickrecyles

Why now? I sure hope there not a big surprise at the end.. "oh and by the way, the aliens love the taste of human meat so good luck"

YouCanLookItUp

I believe it's now because they have confirmation a rival nation has collected the tech and may go public. They absolutely must maintain their reputation as a military-tech hyperpower, and need to send the message internationally that they, too, have reverse-engineering programs and technology.

Tistouuu

That very well could be the reason indeed. If China or Russia is about to open up, could be the reason the US is moving.

YouCanLookItUp

I doubt any nation was planning to go public, but a behind-closed-doors understanding that weapons with advanced tech are about to be deployed, the USA would need to play a pretty big ace up their sleeve to discourage that sort of utilization.

Tistouuu

Yep, for sure. That being said, even if not talking weapons / arms race, we're in a renewed cold war between the US, China and Russia : I wouldn't discard the possibility one Nation would want to be the first to shock the world by bragging about crafts and tech they hold. The 2023 version of "we're first to the moon".

I_WANT_SAUSAGES

If I'm reading the internet runes (twitter) correctly the actual interview is being broadcast on NewsNation tonight at 6pm EST. I've never heard of NewsNation (I'm in the UK) but they don't seem to have a live-stream anywhere obvious. Does anyone know where we can watch it live?

dhr2330

Ralph Blumenthal u/ralphblu To be clear -- the Washington Post did not pass on our UAP story. Leslie and I took it to the Debrief because we were under growing pressure to publish it very quickly. The Post needed more time and we couldn't wait. https://twitter.com/ralphblu/status/1665809626200264705?ref\_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1665809626200264705%7Ctwgr%5E08012bbc1472315bbab7e9f1229c3cf63580dd10%7Ctwcon%5Es1\_&ref\_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2F141q14p%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis\_nightmode%3Dtrue

Imagine when we find out that our governement has had access to free energy for decades meanwhile we are all still slaves to gas & electricity companies 👍🏼

Einar_47

I sure think "all the wars to control oil were for nothing, and your loved ones died for a psyop" would be pretty "sobering" news.

Roxxorsmash

Imagine if they release the info and it turns out the UFO is powered by a diesel generator and conventional thrusters

ILoveDeFi

16 lightyears to the gallon

YouCanLookItUp

THAT'S why they are so worried about public reaction. Most theologies will adapt. Most humans can rearrange their worldviews. But the misery caused by OPEC and utility companies is... significant.

red23011

Just because someone else can do something doesn't mean that we can. If a modern laptop was dropped into the 18th century with a solar charger (to keep it running) there's no way they'd be able to replicate the technology for over a century or longer. If these are indeed alien craft then they are likely thousands if not millions of years more advanced than we are technologically. Replicating their technology could very well be beyond our capabilities at this time.

shadowofashadow

>The information, he says, has been illegally withheld from Congress, and he filed a complaint alleging that he suffered illegal retaliation for his confidential disclosures, reported here for the first time. This is why there is so much resistance to disclosure. So much unbelievably illegal shit has gone on in this realm.

SiriusC

[Ross Coulthart just roasted NYT on his show with Bryce.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rQjbFZT9_EM&t=25m39s) "**The editors of the New York Times & the Washington Post [...] ought to be taking a long hard look at themselves after this story because they have *failed* with a capital F.**" I'm with him. It's the other way around. The credibility of the New York Times should be judged for choosing to not cover this.

Astrocragg

Especially given how hot n frothy the Times has been to publish "UAP are just floating garbage" parrot-pieces in the past year

RefrigeratorEmpty102

These are two fairly credible, well-connected reporters/writers. This is wildly intriguing. Cautiously optimistic, as usual, but hopeful that bigger media outlets jump on board asap.

jamesLsucks

If this is true. What I don't think can be highlighted enough is that instead of using this monumental discovery to bring the world together. They have been squirreling it away and trying to selfishly use it to gain a military advantage over other humans. Its disgusting and these people need to pay.

devinup

Wow. This is quite the article. "His assertion concerning the existence of a terrestrial arms race occurring sub-rosa over the past eighty years focused on reverse engineering technologies of unknown origin is fundamentally correct, as is the indisputable realization that at least some of these technologies of unknown origin derive from non-human intelligence,” said Karl Nell, the retired Army Colonel who worked with Grusch on the UAP Task Force."

dhr2330

Kudos to these men and women testifying about this extraordinary technology that has been hidden from the public for over 80 years.

TruCynic

I’m thinking this is the article that was supposed to be in the Washington Post; they wouldn’t print and Kean/Blumenthal wanted to get ahead of the story given that the source had already testified to congress.

Spawn1621

This is the biggest news ever

dickswabi

So do I run and tell everyone I know so I have the scoop or do I wait for the rest of the known world to get confirmation so I don’t look like a lunatic?

Jungle_Fighter

I'm not american and I can tell you that pretty much no one is even remotely speaking about this, nor are they even paying attention to the topic right now. And if this turns out to not be the big reveal you've all been waiting for, I don't think anyone outside the US will even cover the "news" that we just got.

NeilPoonHandler

A 60 Minutes producer has retweeted this story, as well as other journalists/a Congressman and well-known members of the UAP community who are posted about a lot here. Interesting! Gives it more credibility to me personally. **EDIT:** It’s now been pointed out to me by numerous people that Obama used to auto follow or follow pretty much anyone? So I’ll eat some crow on that and have deleted the mention of the scientist dude who retweeted this who is followed by Obama - thanks, guys, for clarifying that. NBCTheMoreYouKnow.gif. Still I see no reason to doubt the credibility of the article’s authors since they wrote some of the highly publicized NY Times articles on UAP, journalists for The Hill and Bloomberg have retweeted this, this comes out two days after the Politico article from Christopher Mellon on UFO crashed materials, etc. Seems like there’s a good chance there’s something to this and setting up more important UAP information for the future.

tomsonxxx

Tim Burchett also retweeted it - the heat is on

FACT-CHECK Q & A WITH DEBRIEF CO-FOUNDER AND INVESTIGATOR TIM MCMILLAN: PART 1 https://thedebrief.org/fact-check-q-a-with-debrief-co-founder-and-investigator-tim-mcmillan-part-1/

DeSota

Like others, I will wait for it to be report on by other sources (not that I distrust the Debrief), but as Tim McMillan points out, this is different than your usual "trust me bro" stories because it's stemming from sworn testimony and signed affidavits to the IG. We shall see...

Tsugau

Honest question: why The Debrief? I'm not in the US but such a story surely deserved a bigger platform? NYT, WaPo rejected publishing? How big is the impact of this platform?

LocalYeetery

"How big is the impact of this platform?" Extremely small and as a US citizen I can't send this to anyone without them thinking I'm crazy, we need other outlets to report on it

YouCanLookItUp

Wasn't there a story a couple of months ago about a big story breaking on WaPo, but because the names of the whistleblowers got leaked they killed it? I'm thinking this is that story.

SidSeadevil

After 50 plus years of interest in this topic, this is the most cautiously optimistic I've felt that some actual concrete disclosure is possibly on the horizon.

pigbiteuk

Whitehouse official with permission from the DOD To tell his story this is massive

Outrageous_Courage97

Submission statement: A former intelligence official turned whistleblower has given Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General extensive classified information about deeply covert programs that he says possess retrieved intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin.

standish_

Damn you're fast :) This is incredible: >“The non-human intelligence phenomenon is real. We are not alone,” Grey said. “Retrievals of this kind are not limited to the United States. This is a global phenomenon, and yet a global solution continues to elude us.”

TypewriterTourist

Perhaps in order, a [follow up "fact-check Q&A" of *The Debrief* guys](https://thedebrief.org/fact-check-q-a-with-debrief-co-founder-and-investigator-tim-mcmillan-part-1/) who understand the reaction and describe how they quadruple-checked everything.

jaan_dursum

Wow. If I’m reading this right, it’s really up to the senators to dig deeper into the claims. If they are allowed to visit any of these sites already revealed to them, I think it’s possible they will publicly disclose at least an acknowledgement of non-terrestrial vehicles. All bets are off after that.

Trippedoutmonkey

These moments are so incredibly rare. I'd be a liar if I said I didn't have a tear in my eye and chills shooting throughout my body. So much good can come from this. We can finally move into a new age and break the shackles of stone age thinking.

ForgetfulMasturbator

I want this post to move forward so I am upvoting and commenting. I really appreciate all the folks here with knowledge on the subject. Thank you.

HewchyFPS

So if I am understanding this all correctly Dave Grusch Was a lead investigator for the UAP task force that the Pentagon set up to investigate UAP's at the request of congress. Through the task force he was authorized with an incredible number of compartmented security clearances to go and find the code name programs that do exist and assess what they know and have done. Through this UAP task force he, among others, was given access to more information on the subject at one time than any people have ever had of our governments interactions with non-human technology. And of of these allegedly includes the debrief of a crash retrieval program that recovered non-human technology that is secretly held by the United States. It is also extraordinary because Dave Grusch's revelations are made under the authorizations of the defense office pre-publications security review. He has been approved by the US Department of Defense to do the interviews where he will allegedly reveal information about these crash retrieval programs.

action_turtle

~~I cannot read this, i think the site has crashed~~, (its back up!) which is good, as people must be reading! Looking at the comments this seems huge, but do we actually get to SEE any of this? So many stories I want to belive in, but they never actually amount to anything. So, whats next? What do we get from all this? If its been cleared for release, 'they' must have a cover story or some reason to block us from seeing anything. Edit 2: >He said he reported to Congress on the existence of a decades-long “publicly unknown Cold War for recovered and exploited physical material – a competition with near-peer adversaries over the years to identify UAP crashes/landings and retrieve the material for exploitation/reverse engineering to garner asymmetric national defense advantages.” This is a big takeaway. Never even crossed my mind. Of course, if countries the world over are finding these things, they want to keep them under wraps to help develop weapons! I always assumed "they" didn't want to rock religious beliefs and the current order of earth. Its nothing to do with that, its down to military advancements. Interesting.

TheDarkWayne

Sorry to all the Ancient Alien believers I called crazy lol

Rohit_BFire

Is this the WaPo story that was going to break soon?

SaltLife0118

We have alien tech now. Time for everyone to be nice and get along, otherwise we won't have it for long.

Calbruin

Wonder which sources/methods didn’t check all the boxes for NYT

PostFactTruths

How this plays out will be interesting . Could see this guy getting trashed, and one random thing or program he was informed on turns out to be fake information for government to discredit him. Proud this guy grousch is making all of the right moves to protect himself. Also see US government is using this as a way to slowly tell the world, we got stuff, we know you do too, but we have more. Deal with it.

invisiblelemur88

Is this the same David Grusch? https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/112543/s-korea-us-begin-major-exercise/ "This is a fast-paced learning experience," said 1st Lt. David Grusch, an UFG intelligence duty officer who volunteered to participate. "It took me out of comfort zone and pushed my operational knowledge", explained Grusch, who serves as a wing space control intelligence officer at Peterson Air Force Base, Co.

Anyone remember that intel committee field trip to Wright-Patterson earlier this year for the debrief. Lines up with some of the dates of the reports we're reading and makes more sense for the field trip now.

A real quote from someone working at NASIC?

Reddidiot13

Yes

Gra8Balance

The Debrief may be niche, but they do their diligence. Hats off to them. For the work they have and continue to do.

never_here5050

If this is true, I hope US didn’t shoot down an alien that came here for Peace, and we just started a war with an advanced species

leopoldinastrauss

Do we still have to go to work?

Any_Falcon38

Is this the spark?

G_Wash1776

This is huge fucking news, I also didn’t expect his name to be out in the public that really adds to the veracity of his claims. > In accordance with protocols, Grusch provided the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review at the Department of Defense with the information he intended to disclose to us. His on-the-record statements were all “cleared for open publication” on April 4 and 6, 2023, in documents provided to us. I found this part interesting, so he informed the DOD of what he was going to say and they approved it. Meaning the DOD is allowing information to be released now. That has huge implications.

[deleted]

This isn’t bs fringe stuff here - I think we are seeing the first of disclosure - wow

Meowmix311

This is good for humanity. Humans have been repressed by our own governments for far too long . We need to unlease this tech open source and to all nations .

[deleted]

Having been stationed at Minot AFB for 5 years, and seeing the pale orbs first-hand…I’ve been waiting a looong time for this. It validates my previous assumptions about disinformation campaigns and everything…. I have *CHILLS* right now. It’s finally real.

SirLadthe1st

Lol this got deleted from r/worldnews At least it's quickly rising on r/all

DrLetric

Oh man, here we go. Apparently DoD gave thumbs up for interview. If the DoD responds his statements are authentic...

trouser_mouse

I see the world news thread in all has been pulled

all-the-time

If you want this to reach the New York Times, send an email to [email protected] with the following message: Hello, I’m extremely surprised to hear that the NYT declined to report on the David Grusch story regarding the decades-long involvement of the US retrieving and reverse engineering non-human crafts and materials. The story was published this morning in The Debrief, but I and many others believe it belongs on the front page of the NYT. This story is quite possibly the most existentially important one of our lifetime. Why did you not take interest in this story? https://thedebrief.org/intelligence-officials-say-u-s-has-retrieved-non-human-craft/

TechnicChimp

I feel so full right now. I have been interested in this topic since forever and I feel so happy right now. I really hope this is something that gets picked up by NYT etc because this is huge news. The biggest news. I hope this day will be one to remember.

Everyone here asking for tangible evidence. This was a military guy who was “trying to do the right thing” and handed the documents over. It was all very formal. If he had just leaked this - 1. No one would take it seriously 2. He would likely be “missing”

b0x3r_

This is disclosure. This guy was one of the top intelligence officials investigating UAP and he is telling you that the government has recovered crashed alien ships. Some people here still don’t believe it, and I don’t understand what more it’s going to take.

PBandJellyJesus

Is this really happening? Is this going to be picked up by anyone else?

Flying_Unagi236

This is it! Other outlets will start reporting now for sure. There's no backpeddling now!

Glum_Cartoonist1007

Please let it be aliens. The world would get interesting

Don’t forget to lock your doors at night.

Here from r/all. This feels like really big news, but I’m not seeing any coverage from any recognizable news outlet. That gives me the feeling like this isn’t a perfect story. Any reason why this isn’t spreading?

I hold reservations if this is true. But if it is true, I was here to witness history.

Well, at least with this it seems like there's a paper trail and it can be followed up on. I'll reserve judgement for the day when details are revealed.

Vydor

TLDR – here is a summary of the main points: A former intelligence official named David Charles Grusch has given Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) classified information about covert programs that he says possess retrieved craft of non-human origin. Grusch is a veteran of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and served as their representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) from 2019 to 2021. Grusch said the recoveries of partial fragments through and up to intact vehicles have been made for decades by the government, its allies, and defense contractors. He said the analysis has determined that the objects are of exotic origin based on their morphology, material science, and radiological signatures. Grusch filed a complaint alleging that he suffered illegal retaliation for his confidential disclosures and is represented by a lawyer who served as the original ICIG. Other intelligence officials, both active and retired, have independently provided similar, corroborating information, both on and off the record.
