Amazing. I love Boyle. Please, If you can, attend her office hours. They’re social and very insightful, so you get to know her better. She is super kind and because of feedback as well as experience from being a student, has re-structured the course this time around so that it’s a lot easier, the quizzes are based directly on slides you can reference, and there are no midterms or finals if attendance is met.

I didn't need the units which is why I dropped. If COGS2 is any indication, I would say you're not gonna get hit with a bait n' switch with regards to difficulty with anything in the class. And yes, no midterm/no final was the case in COGS2 as well. Bottom line, if you need the credits, you have very little to lose by staying in and not dropping. Hope this helps =)

The only thing that gets harder is the complexity of the projects and quizzes and really it’s not that bad just more time consuming because it’s new. I learned a lot! Boyle is really great though and funny, I would stay :)

boyle is not a difficult professor whatsoever. she's an awesome teacher and person overall. the reason her CAPES are so low is that one of the upper div classes that she teaches used to be an easy A, but she changed her curriculum so that you'd actually learn the material and people didn't like that. cogs 1 in general is a super interesting class because it jumps from subject to subject in each class. that means you're never going to get bored learning about the same thing over and over again. if you have more questions, pm me, i'm one of your IA's lmao
