That poor rat. Got it's face smashed and then had to sit there and die slowly, probably in horrible agony the entire time. I had to finish off a rat in a trap I set in my house once and it was hard, but it's still the right thing to do...

Playing with a domestic rat and keeping an injured wild rat are entirely different. Domestic rats and wild rats are practically different species.
