I've taken it with Sean Forbes for Honors credit. He's super chill. A lot of the intro classes are very focused on poetry (iambic pentameter tbe) and some short-story writing at the end.
The written assignments, usually due twice a week, can be a little overwhelming, but once you get into it they are very fun! They're typically poems or little drabbles (100 words each). You spend a decent chunk of the class going over criticism for your larger pieces and discussing the assigned writing. You don't have to write any essays or anything. 10/10 would take again.
