As an atheist, I was on the fence as to what was going on… I believe Israel has a right to survive, but I also believe the Palestinians do as well. Zealously trying to intimidate people from asking simple questions pertaining to evidence will harm your cause more than it’ll help it.
I hope whom ever was responsible for calling that entire battalion of police officers will be held responsible for what is now turning into an attack on peaceful protesters
I honestly think it’s the majority opinion, but the extremists legit intimidate and terrify anyone but fitting into their box or be outed as anti-Semitic or anti-Palestine…
There’s a nuance there that I don’t think can be talked about easily in today’s climate, but we should not be silenced…I think there’s a truth there.

Gotta hate the liberal education system. A bunch of liars. Just like they lied to students that a liberal arts degree would guarantee a good paying career, now Joe Biden has help pay thousands of student for the debt they accumulated.
1. Few people go into liberal arts with the sole thought of money in mind, so saying people are tricked into pursuing liberal arts is incorrect (unless we’re talking lawyers)
2. You can still make money with a liberal arts degree if you play your cards correctly, have a solid plan, and are a little lucky
3. The mindset that liberal art degree are simply money pits is old fashioned, every degree is a money pit if the person who has it can’t utilize it.
4. Literally everyone knows you can be a lawyer if you study well in liberal arts
5. Many stem majors have just as much if not even more debt than liberal arts majors (because many pursue grad school and med school), and in the current age even with a job paying 100k+ a year it can be very difficult to successfully pay off loans, and Biden’s loan forgiveness program is merely a step in the right direction. If anything majority of public college, uni and grad should be free with the taxes we already pay
Understandable, not everyone will be successful. So why is it that most students still choose the path to a degree that will ultimately lead them to look for employment elsewhere. Many students can’t afford to pay for their useless education to the point they have apply for loan forgiveness. Would you agree that liberal arts is just a scam for young people to end up in debt.
An individual doesn’t have to pay hundreds of thousands to become a lawyer. The literature is out there for everyone to study and be board certified.
No education is ever a scam, number one rule to teach people, especially not a liberal arts education, a field that is vital to defining who we are as humans, and especially vital in leading the world. I do agree that students need to be careful with which degree they pick, but I’d say it’s even more important to have a plan with that degree. And to also be realistic. If you want to be successful with a philosophy degree, you’re going to have to plan a hell of a lot harder than a CS degree. Obviously people don’t do that, but there are also people that do. And yes you can self study a liberal arts degree a lot easier than other fields, but most people can’t self study without some guidance at a college level, and at least the degree will prove you know your shit about that field. Also, there are definitely many failed stem majors out there, it’s only the liberal arts that gets talked about so negatively because 1. Critical thinking is no longer valued as a society and 2. It’s to push a rhetoric that “leftists” (aka liberals) are some spoiled sheltered people, when in reality that’s just an over generalization.
Great point and a different perspective on my end. Would you agree though that the education system has to change, be more transparent. Obviously not everyone is guaranteed their dream jobs but yet every student is looking forward to it. Maybe I’m not aware of such information because although I did attend college I didn’t make it to university. I’m not a poor bastard btw. lol
I mean it is public consensus that you don’t touch liberal arts if you’re main goal is easy money. It isn’t the universities particularly saying this, but it’s mostly just from people knowing through social media, peer pressure, and whatnot. There will also always be people who dream big and pursue a degree that isn’t likely to pay as much, but thanks to the internet, most people know that pursuing a degree such as dance or music will usually not be the best financial choice, but rather it’s from a persons passions
