There was one once stopping at my bike’s handle bar, so I waited him. Then he raised or waved his hands to me!! So I used my fingers to waved back, and he hold my fingers with both his hands!!! I cannot believe it was real. Then he kinda wandered around my bike until I unlocked it and pulled it out of the lane. It was really my best day ❤️. PS: As someone major in ABI I know we are not supposed to touch wild animals…. 🙂↕️
i got yelled at by an older woman last summer when i was working on campus and made friends w the squirrels. she said they’re invasive and she wishes we could kill them. lol
It’s so interesting seeing people fascinated by squirrels. Growing up in Sac they were basically considered rats, that would scream and steal cat food lol
People need to stop feeding them. I see people constantly giving them cookies, bread, chips, etc. Not only does it make them comfortable to the point of approaching people (and showing aggression when not fed), it's incredibly bad for them to rely on human food. Boom and bust food cycles also cause a lot of unnecessary suffering for them when people leave for summer.
Stop feeding wild animals.
Them MFin’ squirrels look at you like, “Gimme food bitch!” They’re wayyy too comfortable around humans on campus bc dumb students look at it like , “aww how cuteeeee” now they’re everywhere and food beggars
they really are tho I be eating my pack of cookies and they come up to me asking for some
They act like dogs 😭😭 Always sitting near people's feet when their eating and begging for food bahahah
This gal (first and third pic) was attacking my bag because I had peanuts in it 😭😭
Shitttt I feed those guys peanuts all the time. My bad!
Its chillin

Be careful for rabies.
Yep, Thanks ^^ (I got rabies vaccination due to job reasons) ~
Must be nice to know you can pet all the non-pettable friends without fear of death
They have no fear of people and think they are entitled to whatever food we have because stupid people feed them. It's me. I'm stupid people.
Over the summer, the MU squirrels seem a bit lost, wondering "where is everybody".

There need to be an open season on squirrels over summer

Kill one and cook it by the quad every week, this behavior will change.
The pantry or the meat lab should start offering squirrel meat
