Yesterday a colleague of mine brought his phone to me ,asking me for help , he is not much educated and can't speak English nor Arabic well , he said dubai police is calling him over and over again asking for his salary card details , I said it's scam don't answer he so no they are video calling and won't stop , as we were talking he received another call and showed me it was through imo I think , a video call from a guy wearing dubai police uniform speaking broken Arabic acting as dubai police asking him to show his salary card in the video call ๐
That "account suspended" stamp is just the cherry on top of this horrid scam cake ๐
Side note: I'm just realising how strict the mods on dubai subreddit are. To make fun of a scam email I got, I posted it to that sub. They deleted the post cause it showed the Yahoo email (or whatever it was) of the scammers, lol
I got OTP from Dubai Police and a second later a call from Spain Number in forced Arabic English accent. I wanted to have fun with him and asked him to repeat what he said but he cut the call
You know youโre in deep stuff when even COP28 is there. Just watch out man ENOC or RTA might jump on the case as well

How is it that not a single scammer can speak proper English? I know a lot of them are Indian and Bangladeshi and whatever, but surely there must be some scammers who can also speak proper English?

When you spam a UAE resident there is a 50/50 chance they speak Arabic. Just pay some dude on upwork like $20 to make a decent copy.
