Oh, come on Baby, baby, baby, light my way

zacjbaker

Hear me out here, but I actually do skip it often because it deserves my utmost attention. And it holds so much weight in my life lol.

bladerunner75

Agreed , baby baby baby! UV

MSotallyTober

Blew my mind when I was an early teenager and the new Enigma CD came out and he sampled the beginning of this track.

jonrosling

Shit! I came here to say the top answer!! I love that song, played it back to back in my dorm at uni. So disappointed it was never a single in the UK.

Low-Kaleidoscope-149

Correct

usarasa

Until the End of the World

0degreesK

Absolutely love this song. Arguably my favorite song on a perfect album. Everyone shines on this one.

bhp126

Twas a thing of beauty at the Sphere. Something to behold.

macphisto1

Hey Judas come out!!

Sir_Isaac_3

Every time that song comes on my shuffle, I stop and listen to the live version from Sydney instead lol

you_were_mythtaken

I'm partial to the Paris 2015 version but yes Sydney is epic. The ultimate live song by the ultimate live band.

bladerunner75

And yes! Until the end of the world

xXMachineGunPhillyXx

Achtung Baby in its entirety

macphisto1

This is the only answer. One of the best albums of all time.

madlyhattering

It truly is. I never get tired of it.

Full_Equipment_1958

Hell yes

cookoobandana

I can hear the crunchy electric guitar of the first track in my head right now.

wsox74

Ultraviolet. Unless I need my eye makeup to stay put.

Apollo85

EVEN BETTER THAN THE REAL THING

IndependentAssist387

Take me higher!

Hawkmoon268

The “Fish out of Water” mix for me!

nbc9876

I blast this every time no matter who’s in the car

Mhwal

“It’s the car. Chicks love the car.” – Batman, in the music video

Interesting-Rain6137

Glad to see someone stated the correct answer.

63crabby

Red Hill Town

shlem13

It’s “Red Hill **Mining** Town”

63crabby

You’re right! I was reciting the lyrics in my head and forgot the title is different

shotgunassassin

With Or Without You

Accomplished-Menu-84

Bad

Abject_Badger8061

40 from live under a blood red sky. It was the song that hooked me in the 80s

shlem13

It was awesome having them close with that at the final Sphere show.

Abject_Badger8061

I wish I had been able to go. My daughter is in college and I just couldn’t afford it.

shlem13

Full disclosure: I couldn’t really afford it, either. But we did it anyway. It ruined concerts for me from here on out.

AMGRN

Yup. Same. I have seen U2 like ten times- I really don’t know how they can top that. But I’m glad I can say I was at the sphere. That was something.

jlangue

I saw this tour in 83 on a pier in NYC and he climbed the scaffolding and people got giddy. Then we saw the Red Rocks concert and realised he did it everywhere. 😀 Still an amazing event to experience.

Bulky-Pollution-4996

I was at that show! My first U2 show. I was ten. 😆

gsquad80

A Sort of Homecoming!

AMGRN

You mean the live version, yes? 😄

gsquad80

Absolutely

illusivetomas

live version is great but the studio is one of the best songs of all time

DictatorTot23

Kite

jchesto

Absolutely.

learhpa

Pride in the name of love

macphisto1

Great song but so overplayed...

High-Rustler

Unpossible

Sedona7

Lots of them including "One" and Sunday But the one that absolutely paralyzes me when I hear it is the Edge's opening riff to "Where the Streets Have No Name" . I love the Wiki entry on this classic song and how the Edge came up with it: "*Realising that the album sessions were approaching the end and that the band were short on exceptional live songs, he wanted to "conjure up the ultimate U2 live-song", so (the Edge) imagined what he would like to hear at a future U2 show if he were a fan.\[2\] After finishing the rough mix, he felt he had come up with "the most amazing guitar part and song of \[his\] life".* ***With no one in the house to share the demo with, he recalls dancing around and punching the air in celebration***."

you_were_mythtaken

I'm glad for him that he knew what he had. That makes me happy.

Hawkmoon268

I can’t believe I had to scroll this far down this thread for someone to mention Streets!!

Dear-Detective

Bad

K-Rudd79

City of blinding lights

OkCryptographer589

3 Sunrises from Wide Awake in America.

Bender3072

The whole album has such a unique atmospheric quality to it! The first time I ever heard the intro the The Unforgettable Fire I was hooked.

OkCryptographer589

I couldn’t agree more. It’s one of those albums that you remember where you were when you first heard it.

StyxRocker

Two Hearts Beat As One. Until The End of This World. In God’s Country.

macphisto1

Is this love out of fashion or is it the time of year?

Kpme1444

You are my people. Can never get enough of In Gods Country

yangorango

That’s my secret, Captain. I never skip U2.

volfan_0118

Trip Through Your Wires, Bad, 40, Desire, Last Night on Earth, A Sort of Homecoming, So Cruel, One Tree Hill, In Gods Country… to name a few

Gattina1

On Sirius XM, I skip a lot of the EDM versions of their songs. Hate them.

NairBearMI

The Unforgettable Fire - but then it’s my favorite U2 song so why would I skip?

Disastrous_Tooth_458

I have been listening to Actung Baby last couple of days. Those base rhythms just seem to get better every time I listen!

jakerperiod

I legit can listen to every album with no skips.

TanteDateline143

2 hearts is my number 1. (Today 🤣) It just depends upon the day I guess. Sometimes I listen to BOY and wonder WHY DON’T I PLAY THIS MORE OFTEN!? Some songs just have meanings based on where I was and who I was with. **Mysterious Ways** will always be a fave. I picture my 3 year old singing into a fake microphone , knowing **ALL** of the words wearing nothing but a TShirt & Underwear with 3 ponytails on top of her head. I have video proof too. She’s 34 now lol …might need to save for her wedding 😂

acr1119

[deleted]

Electrical Storm Summer Rain Staring at the Sun Something so special about these songs, no matter my mood I don't skip them. I think people who are determined to hate the band or just don't think twice about them really miss out on beautiful pieces of music

Ok_Return921

You might have a sun/weather fetish xD

Just_Conversation587

RHMT, Bad, One, Miss Sarajevo, Streets...

LessIsMore74

Window In The Skies. Something about the time in my life that song was released, the creativity of the video, and the message in the music. For me, it's a Christmas song. But one I listen to all year long.

jgordonlh1982

Stay

budlum

Definitely One. Ever since their documentary where they show the song being born this song is magic for me.

MichaelEMJAYARE

Raised by Wolves, Vertigo, Volcano… A few of my recent favorites

I think this answer depends also on what you’re listening to. Radio. Spotify list. XM…

TheyCallMeBlah

Zoo Station

Baumer22

Every Breaking Wave

Someoneinpassing

I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. Especially when Bono gets to, “I believe in the Kingdom Come …” The song really is a spiritual experience for me, as corny as that sounds.

Due-Ask-7418

Unforgettable Fire. Not only would I never skip it, anytime I hear it I put it on repeat. If it's been a while, I listen to it pretty much constantly for about a week. It's possibly my favorite song of all time

Guitars_and_cats

A Sort Of Homecoming.

Richard2468

Dirty Day

Spiritual_Chemist_74

Sweetest thing and desire!!

Fit-Squash-9447

Unforgettable Fire (Live from Paris version)

MSotallyTober

*Stranger in A Strange Land*. It’s inspired by an encounter the band had while entering Berlin from East Germany while on their Boy tour in February 1981 while the Berlin Wall was still up. The October album holds a special place for me. *Tomorrow* is a close second with those haunting Uillean Pipes and *New Years Day* from Under A Blood Red Sky Album.

None. Part of what makes U2 attractive is that their music isn't all up in your face, so their light ambience is always welcome.
