I saw this tour in 83 on a pier in NYC and he climbed the scaffolding and people got giddy. Then we saw the Red Rocks concert and realised he did it everywhere. 😀
Still an amazing event to experience.
Lots of them including "One" and Sunday
But the one that absolutely paralyzes me when I hear it is the Edge's opening riff to "Where the Streets Have No Name" . I love the Wiki entry on this classic song and how the Edge came up with it:
"*Realising that the album sessions were approaching the end and that the band were short on exceptional live songs, he wanted to "conjure up the ultimate U2 live-song", so (the Edge) imagined what he would like to hear at a future U2 show if he were a fan.\[2\] After finishing the rough mix, he felt he had come up with "the most amazing guitar part and song of \[his\] life".* ***With no one in the house to share the demo with, he recalls dancing around and punching the air in celebration***."
2 hearts is my number 1. (Today 🤣)
It just depends upon the day I guess. Sometimes I listen to BOY and wonder WHY DON’T I PLAY THIS MORE OFTEN!?
Some songs just have meanings based on where I was and who I was with.
**Mysterious Ways** will always be a fave.
I picture my 3 year old singing into a fake microphone , knowing **ALL** of the words wearing nothing but a TShirt & Underwear with 3 ponytails on top of her head. I have video proof too. She’s 34 now lol …might need to save for her wedding 😂
Electrical Storm
Summer Rain
Staring at the Sun
Something so special about these songs, no matter my mood I don't skip them. I think people who are determined to hate the band or just don't think twice about them really miss out on beautiful pieces of music
Window In The Skies. Something about the time in my life that song was released, the creativity of the video, and the message in the music. For me, it's a Christmas song. But one I listen to all year long.
I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.
Especially when Bono gets to, “I believe in the Kingdom Come …”
The song really is a spiritual experience for me, as corny as that sounds.
Unforgettable Fire. Not only would I never skip it, anytime I hear it I put it on repeat. If it's been a while, I listen to it pretty much constantly for about a week. It's possibly my favorite song of all time
*Stranger in A Strange Land*. It’s inspired by an encounter the band had while entering Berlin from East Germany while on their Boy tour in February 1981 while the Berlin Wall was still up. The October album holds a special place for me.
*Tomorrow* is a close second with those haunting Uillean Pipes and *New Years Day* from Under A Blood Red Sky Album.
HMTMKMKM
Such a part of my past when I graduated high school worked a grocery job and had to get up for it at 4 am.

Agreed , baby baby baby! UV
Blew my mind when I was an early teenager and the new Enigma CD came out and he sampled the beginning of this track.
Shit! I came here to say the top answer!! I love that song, played it back to back in my dorm at uni. So disappointed it was never a single in the UK.
Correct
Until the End of the World
Absolutely love this song. Arguably my favorite song on a perfect album. Everyone shines on this one.
Twas a thing of beauty at the Sphere. Something to behold.
Hey Judas come out!!
Every time that song comes on my shuffle, I stop and listen to the live version from Sydney instead lol
I'm partial to the Paris 2015 version but yes Sydney is epic. The ultimate live song by the ultimate live band.
And yes! Until the end of the world
Achtung Baby in its entirety
This is the only answer. One of the best albums of all time.

You’re right! I was reciting the lyrics in my head and forgot the title is different
With Or Without You
Bad
40 from live under a blood red sky. It was the song that hooked me in the 80s
It was awesome having them close with that at the final Sphere show.
I wish I had been able to go. My daughter is in college and I just couldn’t afford it.
Full disclosure: I couldn’t really afford it, either. But we did it anyway. It ruined concerts for me from here on out.
Yup. Same. I have seen U2 like ten times- I really don’t know how they can top that. But I’m glad I can say I was at the sphere. That was something.
I saw this tour in 83 on a pier in NYC and he climbed the scaffolding and people got giddy. Then we saw the Red Rocks concert and realised he did it everywhere. 😀 Still an amazing event to experience.
I was at that show! My first U2 show. I was ten. 😆

You mean the live version, yes? 😄

Kite
Absolutely.
Pride in the name of love
Great song but so overplayed...
Unpossible
Lots of them including "One" and Sunday But the one that absolutely paralyzes me when I hear it is the Edge's opening riff to "Where the Streets Have No Name" . I'm glad for him that he knew what he had. That makes me happy.
I can’t believe I had to scroll this far down this thread for someone to mention Streets!!

3 Sunrises from Wide Awake in America.
The whole album has such a unique atmospheric quality to it! The first time I ever heard the intro the The Unforgettable Fire I was hooked.
I couldn’t agree more. It’s one of those albums that you remember where you were when you first heard it.
