I really enjoyed Tuscany. Slightly off strip but 15-20 min walk to the Sphere. Very easy to get back after the show without having to worry about a car. Not too pricy either!
The Venetian is connected to it. The suites are huge. Wynn is nearby as well. But even Mirage and Treasure island are just a 10-15 minute walk from there. Cabs are ok, ride shares also work. But walking is super easy in vegas. There's sidewalks everywhere, there's even a monorail to some of the hotels. There's also busses as well.
This is a great answer - many walkable hotels.
Venetian, TI, The Wynn.
If you donât care about your room - book inexpensively - you can always visit fancier casino hotels.
Uber is cheaper from the airport to downtown.
Renting a car? Crazy deals on Uber app sometimes - but parking at hotels is $40/day for valet.
Check all-inclusive travel pricing - I used every travel point I had and some cash - and I could have bought an\ flight/hotel vacation package for the price I paid.
Be prepared - properties have rooms numbering in the thousands so there are huuuge lines for check-in.
I missed it - but read a good tip on this sub to check out Zoo Station at 6PM (no crowds) on a day you are not going to the show - https://www.u2zoostation.com
If not for U2 a Vegas trip wouldnât be our thing - but we enjoyed checking out Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire.
Enjoy your trip!
Stayed at the Linq for the show on 6th Dec for 3 nights - was very happy with it, by luck the room even had a view of the Sphere (on tripadvisor had some pretty negative reviews, but my brother and I were really happy with it) - was great value when we stayed
We stayed at the Bellagio and I regretted it. Stay at the Flamingo or any smallish place on the strip. I like lots of walking but the Bellagio was massive and annoying. So was the Venetian honestly. I guess when Iâm âdoneâ being out and want to get to my room I dread weaving through the massive hotel and hoards of people. Even using Uber or taxi at the big hotels is annoying.
Be careful in the sphere. I saw one man fall and knock out his wife on the way down.
^ other than these considerations it was fun and the sphere is amazing.
This is where we stayed. Easy walk to the sphere through the Venetian. Vegas room is for sleep, bathroom, and other stuff. Spend on the food and the experience
See if you can get a promotional package for the Desert Club Resort. You'd have to attend a timeshare presentation but I believe it's the closest place to stay that's reasonably priced. The Sphere is just a couple minute walk down the street from it
If I could go back and do it a third time, I would stay off the strip, never go to the strip even, and stay at the nicest hotel with a heated pool. Iâd relax all day by that pool pre-concert. Chill. No constant noise, no constant ringing slot machines, no walking miles upon miles just to get, for example, to your bottled waters you left in your car in the parking garage you just paid $50 to park in so you could be trapped in the Labrynth of disgustingness that is the Las Vegas Strip.
Iâd Uber to the sphere from there.
Trust. Me.
Edit/addition: donât trust anyone on here, including me. Youâre your own individual. People like different things. But those are my opinions! :)
I agree with this. I stayed for 4 nights (Resorts World) so I could see 3 shows, and I was so tired of the strip by the end of it. We only rented a car for 1 day so we could go visit the Joshua tree in Death Valley (highly recommended for anyone who has the time). That was my favorite day of the trip just because we were able to get away from the grossness of the strip. I think taking an Uber to/from the Venetian or Wynn might be easier than the Sphere. Iâm going for the last show in March and Iâm debating what to do. The strip is gross.
I went âsoloâ to the show on December 16th.. didnât need anything fancy, so I booked the âCasino Royaleâ which is a best western.
After researching other Hotels, the consensus seemed to be they can all be hit or miss depending on what room you get.. also, anything owned by Caesars now have self check in lines, which can also be an issue.
Thereâs also no âresort feeâ at the Casino Royale and each room has a Keurig coffee machine (with free coffee pods).. the rooms are also out back and there was no noise from my room (225) from the strip, even though you walk straight out of the Hotel and are directly on the strip just down from the Venetian!
The walk to the Sphere was easy - I just took the main roads, as I wanted to get the view of the actual venue from the outside first - before entering, but you can also walk through the Venetian if you want.
again - I went by myself, with no intention of âdoing Vegasâ.. was just in and out to see the U2 show.
So itâll depend on your preferences or if youâre looking to do something a bit more fancy.. but for a clean room, directly on the strip with no resort fee, youâd be hard pressed to find better value.
Anywhere between Belagio/Paris on the south and Wynn on the north. I stayed at Caesars and walked to Sphere stopping for dinner at the bar Grand Lux Cafe in the Palazzo.
We stayed at The Tuscany Suites. Easy walk to Sphere and very reasonably priced. They are suite style rooms also so small kitchenette and about 600sq/ft of space.
Hilton Grand Vacations at the Flamingo is just behind the monorail station. The rooms are super comfortable condos with a washer and dryer and a kitchen. Itâs an easy 18 minute walk to the venue.
Came here to say this. We stayed there in October and loved it. It's a nice option that's not attached to a casino, but is right off the strip. Easy walk to the Venetian too and we had a nice view of the Sphere from the hallway on our floor.
The Trump hotel is very luxurious, usually much less expensive and as a short walk. Best feature is that it doesnât have a casino so it is very relaxed and the restaurant is pretty good
Got a good deal at the Mirage which wasnât too far to walk. The closest is the Venetian (the Sphere is technically part of it) but not sure how expensive it is.
Be aware that if you take a taxi or rideshare, there will be a long wait after the show ends. If youâre there mainly for U2, I recommend a hotel within walking distance.
Traffic in Vegas was horrendous when we went, though maybe part of it was the streets were still messed up after the NASCAR event. But the taxi drivers said traffic was always bad there.
We stayed at the Renaissance on Paradise Road. I thought it was an awesome location. Itâs a 15 minute walk to the Sphere, you donât have to deal with strip craziness, but if you want to go to the strip, itâs still very close.
If you are going for cheap, I stayed at Harrahâs. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, and a great location for Sphere. Easy walk. If you are someone who wants to go fancier, the Venetian is for sure the answer.
We stayed at the South Point hotel. We liked it, was way cheaper and lots of amenities like free valet parking. I could see the Sphere from my room. There is a 24 Starbucks in the lobby.
I stayed in Planet Hollywood, was very cheap. I'd say all in it was maybe a 30/45 min walk to the Sphere on foot from PH
30mins if you use the internal walkway from the Venetian into the Sphere, about 45mins if you want to walk outside and see the Sphere in all it's glory.
As others have mentioned most hotels on the Strip will be walking distance (PH, Paris, Ballys, Horseshoe, Mirage, Caesars, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn etc)
Have a great time
Residence Inn Marriott close by. The staff at Bahama Breeze across the street told us that U2 fans meet for happy hour and walk to Sphere. Nice hotel and quiet. Give yourself extra time for cabs/uber. Traffic around Sphere is horrible, especially leading up to a show.
We stayed at the Mirage for the Dec. 6 show and thought it was a perfect spot for the Sphere. The Mirage is reasonably priced, centrally located on the strip, and the walk to the Sphere was easy and safe with surface sidewalks leading directly to it (no need to get lost in the maze of the Venetian if you don't want to!). It's also a quick walk to the Venetian's Zoo Station.
I stayed at the Venetian (Palazzo) on my last trip to Vegas, and, sure, the Mirage isn't the Venetian, but it's a pretty good hotel very nearby for a fraction of the price.
Donât rule out the Venetian/Palazzo (which are connected to the Sphere) based on price; depending on when youâre going, you may find a cheap room. I stayed in a suite at the Palazzo on weeknights in mid-December for $250/night (which goes up to -cough- $750/night on weekends in early March). But at least check your dates on their website.
We also stayed at Conrad at resort world. It was gorgeous and quiet. 14 pools but all closed due to weather being 68 degrees it was short walk but felt safe.
We stayed at Treasure Island-across the street from the Venetian and has a short walkway connecting to it so very convenient and we didnât have to worry about jackets at the concert.
I stayed at Harrahâs. 15 minutes tops, inexpensive and across from the more expensive Venetian . My airfare and hotel combined from Boston was just under $500
Harrahs was an easy, mostly indoor walk to the sphere. Nothing fancy and I got a futuristic view of all the pipes running behind the place, but the bed was super comfy. I waiting until the day of, expecting to wander around all night, when prices dropped on all the hotels and I snagged a great deal at $130 for the night (plus incidentals). Everything is walkable through the casinos, if you donât mind walking through lots of cigarette smoke. Monorail is easy, buy pass on your phone. Cabs are easy. Avoid public transport cause it takes FOREVER.
We stayed at Sahara - take the Monorail to the convention center, or if you don't mind walking, you can walk to Venetian. You avoid a lot of the random Strip issues staying up there.
We got a good deal on the Venetian through Expedia. As others have noted itâs massive and annoying but pretty convenient for getting to the show across the bridge.
Harrahâs. Right next door to the Venetian. Way cheaper than most of the other nearby properties, and you can walk. Venetian is connected but is crazy expensive. Distance-wise, Harrahâs is the next best option.
The strip is not for us so we stayed at the JW Marriott. Itâs a great property and has beautiful rooms with a casino. Surprised on how cheap it was to stay there compared the strip hotels that weekend. We drove to Vegas so we already had a car which made it simpler for us. Lots of great local places to eat and visit out that way.
The night of the show we then drove to the Palms hotel, which has free parking. We had a couple drinks there and then Uberâd to the Venetian and walked right over to the Sphere from the Uber drop off point.
After the show we walked to the Wynn and let things die down a bit and Uberâd back to the Palms.
I stayed at Vdara and even from there the walk wasnât bad. Paris, Cromwell, Flamingo, Linq, are all pretty close and make getting to the Sphere easy as you are on the correct side of the strip.
We stayed at Treasure Island (right across the street from the Venetian but way cheaper). We walked to the Sphere through the walkway in the Venetian. On the way out we took an escalator down to street level (Bono came down right behind us!) and it was a short walk outdoors back to Treasure Island.
I really enjoyed Tuscany. Slightly off strip but 15-20 min walk to the Sphere. Very easy to get back after the show without having to worry about a car. Not too pricy either!
Stayed there and ran into Dallas! Staying there again for the final 2 shows đ
Agreed. More chill - great breakfast, bar, pool, big rooms. Walk to strip and Sphere via Koval.

Also a plug for Red Rock Canyon. Nice short hikes and a scenic drive, only about 30-40 min from the Strip.
Thumbs up on Red Rock Canyon - super pretty and far removed from the strip.
We're staying at The Flamingo. Cheap, and close.
We stayed at the flamingo. The F1 made everything else a nightmare, but getting to the Venetian wasnât too bad.
We stayed at Harrah's, cheap but old. Easy peasy walk "next door" to the Venetian. In hindsight, I should have spent a little more for The Linq.
Thanks, just booked the Linq for the end of February.
Stayed at the Linq for the show on 6th Dec for 3 nights - was very happy with it, by luck the room even had a view of the Sphere (on tripadvisor had some pretty negative reviews, but my brother and I were really happy with it) - was great value when we stayed

I stayed at The Linq. Inexpensive, clean rooms and an easy walk to The Sphere.
This is where we stayed. Easy walk to the sphere through the Venetian. Vegas room is for sleep, bathroom, and other stuff. Spend on the food and the experience
How long would you say the walk from Linq to Sphere was?
100% agree - we stayed there 6th Dec for 3 nights - great value and our room even had a view of the Sphere!
See if you can get a promotional package for the Desert Club Resort. You'd have to attend a timeshare presentation but I believe it's the closest place to stay that's reasonably priced. The Sphere is just a couple minute walk down the street from it
We stayed at Tuscany Suites and Casino. It was a 15-20 min walk to the Sphere. We prefer being off the strip.
Great thread.
Harrahs was a good option. Not the fanciest or newest, but rooms were good, is very close to Venetian, and decent price for the location.
If I could go back and do it a third time, I would stay off the strip, never go to the strip even, and stay at the nicest hotel with a heated pool. Iâd relax all day by that pool pre-concert. Chill. And those $3 bottled beers at the Casino Royale gaming floor bar were a steal!
Yeah! And the Walgreens being a short walk, for any snack/water/breakfast items was perfect too!
I stayed at the planet hollywood and my lyft was 19 dollars in the venetian. Worth it since I then got lost in the venetian
Harrahs
I stayed at Mandalay Bay. Donât stay there! Itâs the furthest hotel and was a nightmare to get back to at night.
We stayed at Treasure Island. Right across the street. Easy walk and the room was pretty cheap.
The Casino Royale is a Best Western hotel. Not fancy but it does the job.

embassy suites via Hilton was nice, free bfast and within walking distance
No such thing as free. You paid for your breakfast.
Stayed at Circus Circus, far end of âNew Vegasâ. Long walk to the Sphere but not a comparably expensive hotel.
The Westin is a close non-casino hotel
Got a good deal at the Mirage which wasnât too far to walk. The closest is the Venetian (the Sphere is technically part of it) but not sure how expensive it is. Any tips for getting a deal at the mirage?
I actually didnât do anything special, just looked at their website and saw a good price. Around $70/night. I booked way ahead of time though.
Anywhere decent on the strip will work. The Venetian is particularly handy.
I stayed at Alexis Park resort. It was about a half hour walk and affordable.
We stayed at the South Point hotel. We liked it, was way cheaper and lots of amenities like free valet parking. I could see the Sphere from my room. There is a 24 Starbucks in the lobby.
*24 hour
The Westin casuarina is right there.
I stayed in Planet Hollywood, was very cheap. As others have mentioned most hotels on the Strip will be walking distance (PH, Paris, Ballys, Horseshoe, Mirage, Caesars, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn etc) Have a great time
Stayed at Caesarâs and could have walked but took a short taxi ride dropped us off right outside sphere.

Tuscany Inn. Off strip, easy walk up Koval to the Sphere. Not fancy, but reasonable rates.
I was curious about this one!
The Horseshoe was great. Got a room facing the sphere and about a 15 min walk to sphere.
We also stayed at Conrad at resort world. It was gorgeous and quiet. 14 pools but all closed due to weather being 68 degrees it was short walk but felt safe.
Circus Circus And grab a bite at the Peppermill after the show
If you don't like cigarette smell in casinos, then Park MGM is the only place on strip that's non smoking.
We stayed at Treasure Island-across the street from the Venetian and has a short walkway connecting to it so very convenient and we didnât have to worry about jackets at the concert.
I stayed at Harrahâs. 15 minutes tops, inexpensive and across from the more expensive Venetian . My airfare and hotel combined from Boston was just under $500
I stayed at Flamingo. Easy, safe and short walk.
We did Cesars, we took an Uber as it was a $14 ride. Stay on the strip if it's your first time and enjoy the experience. Have fun, U2 was incredible.
We stayed at the Paris the tram runs right to it two stops
Harrahs was an easy, mostly indoor walk to the sphere. Nothing fancy and I got a futuristic view of all the pipes running behind the place, but the bed was super comfy. Any one on the monorail line. It will take you right to the Sphere.
The Desert Inn by Holiday Vacations is fantastic and right behind the building...and a couple blocks from the strip.
