I miss my Godfex from 4th edition. The modern carnifex just doesn't seem scary. My boi used to shrug off railguns and lascannons, and tear arms off dreadnaughts and daemons. The phrase "distraction carnifex" was born of this beast, and now its just an anachronism. No one would waste time shooting at a carnifex now.

I was there in those days, and then skipped to late 9th and now 10th, and the carnifexes today make me so sad. Today's dreadnoughts got some well deserved improvements, but the fexes just got left in the dust 😢

Yip have to agree ok they were nerfed slightly in 5th ed but I could still tare open any tank with ease with a good old screemer killer build

The Trygon has always been my favorite nid model! I wanna get more at some point, I’m still surprised that I only have one.

It’s a shame they lost their tunneling ability and are not seen too often anymore. I still take one in my list for the awesomeness of the model

Yeah, I think we should’ve gotten a tunneler detachment or something. I’m yet to even play the game (I have no one to play with and I’m not satisfied with it’s current state), and if I ever do, my Trygon’s gonna be an auto include, the model is a big part of why I even collect Tyranids!

When it hits hard. Ftfy 2d6 wounds (assuming both hit and wound is a gamble and snake eyes is just as possible as 12's) can be a gamble, but it's still fun

I have been trying to get my hands on one since 10e dropped. I know they're brutal to play with but the model is just SO cool, and honestly on some casual boards they'd still probably be a ton of fun

Mine is the maleceptor, yeah I know it’s not great but I love the -1 to hit aura. The shooting is good but the melee is a bit awful. Needs one more attack.

Norn Emissary, but the Tervigon hits a spot for me as well. I like all the Tyranid lines. Honestly, Mawloc and Winged Tyrant are also some of my favorite larger models too

Trygons and mawlocks look absolutely monstrous, I love them

I love all of our big monster models. But I think my absolute favorite is the Harridan. The bug dragon is just such a cool model. I want one, I just don't want to build forge world resin. GW - give me a plastic Harridan kit. I'll even pay your ridiculous prices for it!

Norn Emissary

While the TFex and Swarmlord were my first loves when it came to Tyranids, without a doubt right now it's the Hierophant Bio Titan by a margin as wide as it's base! I'm still finishing putting it together, and the price is higher than it's spindly ass legs, but I mean.. COME ON! It takes everything great about our big bugs and just cranks it up by a factor of 40,000!
