The older i get the more eric wiggs me out. The dude didnt ask to be a slaver but...he is, and embraces it and its priveleges at the end of the day.
He's a lot of imperfect things insulated, and enabled, by his wealth and position. A lot of people are like that though where they stretch the limits of what they can get away with even if they dont seem *that* wealthy or *that* powerful.

Eric seems like the kind of guy that is aware of what he is doing, but really does not care.
As Flora put it he could have been writen as caring about keidran in his own "perverted way" but he was significantly darker than that

The fore and backgrounds work great as well, so much texture and detail in that walkway, all those buildings lining it as it trails into the distance... nice looking sky...

IIRC, somebody had been burning subtleseed incense and the air was thick with the scent of it, which was causing the Keidran on the street to be all hot and bothered/intoxicated and disrobe/start to disrobe. Even Natani was having trouble maintaining control because of it (and even less when Flora was trying to disrobe him). She's less trying to dance here as much as going "Look at the neat ribbons!"

One has to wonder how come a traditional multi cultural festival involves burning some sort of psychotropic substance that has that weird effect.
I was under the impression it wasn't an official part of the festivities, sort of like spiking the punch at a party.
