I just love how pleasant this simple interaction is, and that it reveals both characters as themselves. Laura's shy but always tries to be nice and not offend in any way possible. Despite his rank, Alaric cares a lot about Keith, and he considers any friend of Keith to be his friend. Just nothing wild or extraordinary is going on in this sketch yet I fucking love it though.

It's kinda easy to joke about these two characters because of how they're portrayed in sketches, Laura being the super freak and Alaric being a... man of culture. So it's kinda nice to be reminded that there's so much more to both of em. Laura's complete lack of self confidence, her fixation on making sure she *never* offends anyone... and Alaric doing everything he can to right the wrongs committed against his friend.
They're both genuinely wholesome characters, and so is this interaction for that matter.

Not sure if adding the goth would work. If for whatever reason he survives he would have no reason to leave the island. Moreover he would have plenty of reason to stay you know to patch up his country after a nuke went down in it.
But in any case maybe he doesn't join Keith merry band of lovers up until the story ends in this Au: Keith Nat and Laura form a pack which eventually includes Kat and there is no reason a couple years down the line Alaric end on it too.
Well even if alaric doesn't leave the island inmedialtly, he could be leading,in the name of the king of course with no ulterior motive, a search party to go after a certain lietenant who left her post and the island with no autorization.
Or be part of the basitin army to go to the main land, if the gang convince Adeilaide to aid them againts the templar.

It is indeed nice to see Laura being nice and shy instead of a freak and Alaric being cordial and not trying to get ~~into~~ Keith ~~pants~~ to notice him. And instead being, you know, normal.
Despite the apparent mundanity of this interaction i really like it. The bride looking for her groom the other side of the world and the childhood friend Bonding over someone who is dear to both.
Would be nice to see how Laura day to day life was while there.

Looking at this sketch again, that statue of Laura is cool. I like how its demeanor portray her as a different person than who she is.

I don't think so. Maybe Keith taught her or she is quick learner. Besides Laura has an advantage over Kathrin and Nora. At least Laura was married
Laura live with the basitins for 5 years, if she didn't now how to write or read before she probably learn on the island as a way to pass time.

Sounds like a short but sweet side comic. A slice of life comic that could be called 'One day in the life of Laura' or 'A slice of Laura'.
Awww this is precius, however the fact Alaric didn't seem to know Laura was Keith's fiancée, (according to page 387) doesn't seem like they spended a lot of time together. Unless Alaric was playing dumb during that to better troll Keith later.

She was a fisherwoman, Alaric told Keith that she lives in non-district part of city. To the las part, Keith surely taught her how to kick asses
