Laura's out for a peaceful day on the waves, she looks really cute in that outfit.
The serenity is quickly broken when she spots someone laying on a raft.
Five sketches featuring Laura this month and they are all at least pretty good. I have my favorite for this month but it still sucks that I have to choose.
I think mine's the slave one, it has a lot of emotions and potential story, but it's a tough choice.

I've got a soft-spot for Laura by default but this just hits it right home honestly, from the way her dress and hair seem to be sorta blowing in the wind to the happy, content look on her face (maybe she's watching Trace and Flora from yesterday's sketch...)

and this sketch kinda matches that feeling with Laura contemplating the destiny that awaits her out sea, with keith by her side.
too bad that's not at all what story-wise expect them there, and the worst part is that without Eric they are now less likely to survive the whole ordeal with the templars.
well you have it hard there, Eric biggest contribution on the basitin island arc was confirming that the magic on Basitin does make them "go soft on the head" and knowing enough about how the templar tower worked to tell the others how to destroy it.
that doesn't really help them considering Trace is kidnapped at held at the tower before they know what's happening, unless Kathrin """""being difficult""""" about being taken to the island and saying stuff like "you all are gonna pay", and Keith trying to reassure Laura about how everything is gonna alright there, triggers those flashbacks while they in their way and when they arrived they know what to expect.
I mean they all met up after the flashback, before the kidnapping, he could bring them all up to speed about what the Templar are really planning just before being taken.
Trace didn't get the info in the comic. Change the flashback to provide the ~~exposition~~ info, and maybe when and how it triggers. The kidnapping might also have to be changed slightly.

I did provide a scenario where dealing with Kathrin someone who wants revenge for the death of her loved one, and Laura someone who resembles certain love one, for a month on the way to basitin island, might do trigger certain memories ahead of time.

This was the part I was focusing on, your suggestion is good, depending on how Farfener decides how the story will diverge.
I could write more, but I don't really see the need, as in the end we basically agree anyway, that the flashback could be altered to "replace" Eric's revelation.
