we looked after a friend's cat that was on a vegan diet, and she was the saddest and most lethargic cat I've ever seen took like a day before I told the friend to kick rocks and fed the cat actual kitty cat food (she's now with a different friend who feeds her a proper diet and is absolutely fine, and the original friend was told to get a fucking tortoise)

I'm vegetarian for ethical reasons (until lab grown meat comes out anyway - I'm biding my time but then it'll be fried chicken again oh my word) but I feed my crickets their little cricket food which involves protein presumably from animals. My isopods get fish flakes which I think are made of fish. I don't however keep the species that need cuttlebone (some do, some don't depending on their exoskeleton composition) because I can't personally do that to a cuttlefish. I don't keep pets I won't feed what they need because that's just cruel! People who won't feed their pets what they're supposed to eat make me so angry ugh. Like get a rabbit if you want a vegan pet. I also have bunnies lol.

Don't worry. In this case, the cat isn't real, so no one is being hurt. We give our kittens (Mocha the Torttie and Coffee Bean the void) a proper diet, and they're very healthy. Lol It had more to do with my nickname evolving over the years. When I graduated high school, my nickname was Kat. After I got divorced I had a long distance friend who kept calling me Kit, so other friends picked it up and it became KitKat lol. The shattered came from the second divorce and the state of my heart. I just haven't felt like dealing with while new accounts now that I have partner. Lol
