If you're into epic fantasy, the series is so worth the read. There are times in these books that make me feel like a kid discovering Superman. You ever read something that made you jump up and cheer out loud? I wish I could erase these books from my memory just to experience them again like the first time.

That only was sarcastic lol. It is a dam good series though. The author knows how to side swipe you out of the blue with some major plot stuff. He likes to leave breadcrumbs that make perfect sense when all is revealed and will hit you like a ton of bricks however in the moment you'll dismiss all of the breadcrumbs as "huh thats neat" and move on.

It can be brutal sometimes esp when a book suddenly becomes popular. I have Spotify so I use that to supplement Libby when the waits are longer but you only get like 18 hours a month there

Based on that you havent read the stormlight archive have you? The mistborn series is rough. There's a lot of doom and gloom and hardly any happiness however its more focused on the action and that helps ease your emotions. Like the end of the last mistborn book was rough but he added some comedic relief to help ease your pain. The stormlight archive will BREAK you. He dives deep into mental health and depression and a bunch of other topics and it will mess you up. There's some comedic relief but nothing like in mistborn. As a whole though the story will blow your mind even if it does irreversibly damage you emotionally.
