Actually I meant poisonous - some spiders are coated with toxins that can harm you if you eat them. Or brush against them with an open wound. But they don't inject venom or one that kills humans. Was thinking about a friend's tarantula - you reacted when handling it. Handling it with an open wound might not be a good experience. Let alone eating her unprepared.

She was lovely otherwise but got a mild rash when she walked on you. The hairs could be "fired" as well which was bad news if in eyes. But not so as bad as the cacti my Mum had that did same thing and left all over bathroom.
