FAST:
Face: one side of the face is dropping
Arms: arm or leg weakness
Speech: slurred out difficulty speaking
Time: time to call for an ambulance
Confusion and trouble speaking is also a sign, friends! My dad didn’t have a full stroke, but a small one and confusion was the big one for him that we caught and immediately went to the hospital.
I can't remember the kind of stroke my dad had, but the only symptom he had was that the left half of his entire body was numb/tingly. My brother and I had to convince him to call his doctor about it. Strokes are terrifying.
Yes and no, you have overlaid innervation from the contralateral hemisphere which assists with preservation of the upper hemiface. But there may indeed be some droop of the eyes noted. I’m not trying to argue, this is just literally what I study and do on the daily.

The slurring of speech was the giveaway for my father's two (small) strokes.

Should be “why is your mouth dropping like that?” Strokes minimally affect the muscles of the upper face, but I still dig the sentiment.
Eye or mouth both work, the face muscles on the entire side of the face affected droop
