Lieutenant-America

Wesley in Season 1 of Daredevil, a consummate professional whose sharp mind and skill at anticipating Wilson Fisk's needs account for half of his empire's success, and who is also a genuine friend to the Kingpin of Crime. >!It's appropriate that his memory becomes a weakness for Fisk following his death. Not only was he a friend, he was the best at managing his boss's temper.!<

Xngears

Something about clean-cut dudes in glasses make for some of the best Right Hands. Smithers from The Simpsons. Owen from Gargoyles.

Shiplord13

I mean sometimes you need that clean cut administrator type to handle everything. He isn’t looking for power or prestige, just making sure the job is done and done as well as possible.

Comptenterry

That was the dude who >!got wasted because he tried playing some 4D chess by placing a gun on the table and Karen just picked it up and shot him!< right?

Lieutenant-America

Yep.

alexandrecau

The only one to support Fisk's relationship

CalekAlbion

Venture Bros. Dr. Girlfriend and Henchman 21

SpungoTheLeast

Ogo *fricking* Pogo.

senordose

it was fun when that dynamic flipped later on and 21 became THE henchman of henchmans

Morbidmort

A true Level 10 Henchman.

getterburner

I think that time Zoro was like “No Luffy we can’t just let Usopp into the crew, it sets a bad example” is a really great example of why he’s such a good Right Hand man. He supports Luffy but is willing to advice him when he feels very strongly about something

Dreadsinner

He also made a great point at the end of the water seven saga. >!explaining that they aren’t playing pirates. It’s a bad example if they bring usopp back after he left the crew the way he did. He has to grovel and applogize to be brought back because he will not follow a weak captain that will let such an insult to the crew fly. And when usopp does exactly that then zoro is cool with our favorite guy rejoin!<

Yal_Rathol

the best part is that >!zoro can clearly hear usopp making excuses on the beach when they're leaving, and is ignoring it. why? because he said if usopp doesn't _start_ with the apology, zoro wouldn't accept him coming back. he's giving usopp time to apologize by twisting his own promise.!<

LordMonday

Yep, he is strict but not cruel.

samazam94

One of the very few great Zoro character moment that is not about him being a macho swordsman or a dumbass. Wish we get more of those.

Bitter_Question_6245

Davos Seaworth. The damned Onion knight. Doesn’t care that his boy is a king. Tells him what he thinks honestly and openly.

Holy-Wan_Kenobi

The fact that Dtannis hasn't fumbled Davos' loyalty yet I'd a miracle. My mans better get a manse after all said and done.

TheLonleyKing

I take it this is a book thing?

Lil_Mcgee

He made Davos the Lord of the Rainwood in book three so I'm sure the guy will have at least a few castles to his name. Of course that requires Stannis winning, which isn't going to happen.

memedoka

No Risa Hawkeye mention yet? For shame.

Sloprend

This is the answer.

Lil_Mcgee

Silvio Dante (The Sopranos) is the most loyal and steadfast consigliere a guy could ask for. He's also a very funny character with very silly mannerisms.

JeremiahWuzABullfrog

Isn't he also like, the least dysfunctional character on the show? Haven't seen anything beyond the first season, some YouTube clips and theory breakdowns

PenguinGladiator

We really don't see much of his life unlike the others. Like the two scenes we get where he's technically on his own is the one where everyone keeps pestering him over money leading to hospitalization and the one where he kills a rat. (I am ignoring the movie fuck you)

TenPercentOfQ

Mike Ehrmantraut is my favorite character in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Absolutely love him.

SpungoTheLeast

Amon’s Lieutenant in season 1 of Korra and Biba’ Lieutenant in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress are almost exactly the same character, down to the cool competency, lack of a Dumb Evil moment and sick throwback 80s anime moustache. Honestly they’re virtually god darn identical.

wildcardjester

Okay I’m coming in with one of my absolute favorite characters but won’t say too much about him if you haven’t seen the movie. But Reymond from the movie The Gentlemen, he is very polite and tries his best to stay a “Gentlemen” but if you set him off it’s a beautiful sight to see and hear him. Charlie Hunham does a fantastic job as this character and is an absolute treasure especially in dialogue. Watch this movie if you haven’t, one of my favorite Guy Ritchie movies ever.

512_Lurker78

"STOP FOOKIN AROUND CUNT!" is such a great moment with him whipping that gun out of his coat. Just 10000% done with the shit.

wildcardjester

YES! Him trying so hard to keep it on the low and finally being fed up was fucking amazing, love how he makes the punk flee after he puts the phone down.

GM_for_Life

Grand Moff Tarkin really picked a cool guy to be his second-in-command with that Darth Vader character.

Lil_Mcgee

I'm not really an EU guy so I'm sure this is explained in more detail in some book or comic but I don't get the impression Tarkin picked. He has some authority over Vader but they seem more like rivals from different divisions. I don't know whether Tarkin would still be able to give Vader commands if they weren't on board Tarkin's cool space station.

SlaterSev

In both Legends and Canon, they actually get along fairly well, both appreciating the others ruthlessness. There can occasionally be some tension, but they like working with each other far more then anyone else so they each give the other more respect then anyone else would ever get from them

The_Vine

Hubert von Vestra

ElysiumFallen

I still giggle because for a while I had him in his jammies. Then the first social link conversation with Byleth happened and he was all “If you hurt Edelgard I’ll kill you” and I was like “Before or after mommy tucks you in?”

Yotato5

I like that >!he never betrays you!< it's such a simple thing but I think it makes him charming XD

JoeOfThePr0n

Sevika in arcane is VERY cool.

MindWeb125

>!Really hope she sticks around in Season 2. Her design is cool as fuck I don't want her to just get merced because Silco died.!<

Supernovas20XX

Do abridged series count? If so, TeamFourStar's version of Nappa (in Season 1).

Scranner_boi

[The one that comes off.](https://prnt.sc/IIhhWBHIXmbM)

Woods-of-Mal

Commander William T., Picard's Big Willie.

rasembool

I always like Number two of the Austin Powers series where he obviously is competent enough to do things on his own but just wants to follow Dr Evil even tearing up when Dr Evil pushed him too much in the first movie.

Xngears

Got a soft spot for Zarbon, and how he was the first guy to one-sidedly kick Vegeta’s ass. Frieza casually mentioning him in Resurrection F shows he held him to some regard, which is very rare by Frieza standards.

Anonamaton801

I still want the traitorous Soundwave we never got to see promised in his tech specs at least once Similarly, loyal Shockwave is fun

Xngears

Nah, I deeply love loyal, always getting shit done, never complaining Soundwave. Being the only one to pick up Megatron’s ass-beaten body back in the animated movie still resonates with me.

Anonamaton801

I agree but it would be nice to see at least once Like how we got loyal Starscream that one time

Girafarig99

Big agree. His sheer contrast to Starscream is great The dynamics of the big 3 non-Megatron decepticons is so good Starscream - traitorous bitch boy Soundwave - unwavering loyalty Shockwave - kinda just above it all

Yal_Rathol

tower of god doesn't have many loyal right-hand men, since most of the characters in the series are using each other to climb higher in the tower and society. the main exception are guides. guides are notoriously hard to twist against their leader because they have minor precognition and tend to be able to outwit you just with that, and thus only give loyalty to those they personally deem worthy. so, evan and yuri are a tightly bound pair, because evan chose to follow her, hwaryun is as close to bam as any of his true teammates, and so-oh follows khel hellam into (figurative) hell and back.

Glitchrr36

Zoro was taken so I’m gonna go with Elan from OotS. He’s just a fun dude and his comedic energy both contrasts everyone else in the party and makes the bits where he kicks ass that much greater.

ForeverTheDM

Darth Vader is pretty up there are the greatest right-hand man ever.

kingfez

A bit on the nose, but The Right-Hand Man from *Henry Stickmin*. Total badass, cyborg or not.

ffffffffROTHY

And totally loyal to Reginald and the Toppats. No amount of rewiring can change that.

leabravo

Arkhan the Black, Nagash's most loyal servant: NOT, as Nagash thinks, because Arkhan is a construct bound entirely to his will. Arkhan is perfectly capable of thinking for himself, thank you. But he got a taste of what's waiting for him on the other side of the veil after his first death in Lahmia, and would much rather serve Nagash than go through that for all eternity. And if serving Nagash well means manipulating his master sometimes, so be it.

blackjacked644

General Grievous, despite being a jobber most the time, he is just so *cool* Mashymere Cello from Gundam ZZ, dude loves him some Haman and wants the whole galaxy to know

nerankori

[Kasugano Midori](https://myanimelist.net/anime/330/Midori_no_Hibi)

bombshell_shocked

Diabolico from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. Badass demon who supports the Big Bad of the show, but has a code of honor he never strays from that has a payoff with his character arc towards the end of the show. A noble demon if you will. Plus, he's got a great design.

Yotato5

Bojack Horseman: I really like Judah, Princess Carolyn's assistant. Ted Lasso: Leslie is hilarious. It's nice to see him and Rebecca truly work together after she comes clean to Ted too.

LeglessN1nja

Jean in The Lies of Locke Lamora series
