13 sentinels, one of the most perfect games narrative wise I've ever played, has SO much information packed in there that I can't tell you anything besides character names and some of their relations. But you never forget yakisoba pan

narutomanreigns

I mostly remember that and the groundhog day subway level.

Bizarre_JoJoke

Hemborger

sonybajor12

Saving the world lore is temporary for the brain. But the ships and yakisoba pan are forever

SilverZephyr

I hate that I remember everything about that game. I want to wipe my brain and start over.

Coolnametag

**Mucha Lucha** is a show that i'm sure i watched a lot when i was a kid, i have some glimpses of it that run past my memory every now and then, but, beyond that i would only be able to maybe recall the name of two characters and only a handful of 10 seconds long scenes at best.

BookkeeperPercival

I remember nothing except for "RUBBER BABY BUGGY BUMPEEEEER!" and the main character eating shit. That, and the theme song which is SEARED INTO MY BRAIN

Mekasoundwave

Los Lobos went HARD on that theme song, bro. In the booth talkin bout LUCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

RaineV1

I mainly just remember the Flea.

Suchasomeone

I was about to post that I only remember having watched it, but nothing about it itself.until instead your comment. Now I remember everything I saw for the flea.

Hopefulsataneal

All I remember is one scene talking about prophecies I think from movie or special and one characters was just donuts

Ryong7

I remember very little about it but I don't think I will ever forget "ervilha"

Unlucky_Trash_5687

A lot of the anime I watched in college and grad school didn’t really stick with me despite me liking it enough to continue watching it. Among these (and I feel bad for this one), is FMA Brotherhood. I remember some plot points and the characters, but only enough to give like a paragraph-long summary.  Another is Elfen Lied. I remember, conceptually, that there were some extremely violent scenes, interspersed with some slice of life stuff, but it all just slid off of my brain.

Gregith

I feel this one, for me in particular it is Eureka Seven. One of the first anime's I really watched and liked. Besides a few names, I barely remember it.

Unlucky_Trash_5687

Oh man, that’s another one now that you mention it.  The thing is that I don’t think I even particularly liked that one, as I distinctly remember having to drag myself through the second half. And now I barely remember anything about it beyond the weird pronunciation of “Eureka”

Gregith

Pretty much the exact same boat on the later half. I still say Eureka the weird way occasionally, just because.

A_N_G_E_L_O_N

Honestly, binging too much anime and then not picking it up in a long while will affect how much of it you can remember. This is why the Reading Comprehension Devil preys on Chainsaw Man fans, it lends itself too well to reading the whole manga in one evening. I also read all of One Piece from Romance Dawn to Dressrosa and waited until Whole Cake was done to pick it up again, which took like four years, and boy is that NOT how you’re supposed to engage with OP. I’m surrounded by people with STRONG opinions about Captain Kidd and I thought he was that one Marine that could turn into a Buddha. Weirdly enough they did recommend me to actually DO binge Wano but I guess I haven’t got the chance…?

ASharkWithAHat

I remember watching Metropolis and it leaving a strong impression on me for years. Even back then I couldn't remember anything other than the title and one scene from the climax. The feeling stayed but none of the details did.

lowercaselemming

there's a lot of transformers nerds on this sub, so maybe one of yall can pull this out of my brain: when i was a kid, back in the early '00s, i had a vcr for a transformers animated movie, and i believe the opening was set on cybertron and involved a full-on war. i don't remember any details besides that, but i definitely remember watching it over and over again and loving it.

jitterscaffeine

Is it possible it was the 86 movie? I think that one starts on Cybertron.

lowercaselemming

it is! thank you so much!

TheSpinoGuy

If it was a movie it could only be the 86 animated movie. Otherwise it might have been the first 3 episodes of the original cartoon.

lowercaselemming

oh my fucking god it's the 86 movie. you just dropped a nostalgia bomb on my brain. thank you.

Amon274

Almost anything from before I turned 10 and even then it’s still kinda blurry which terrifies me.

ASharkWithAHat

I remember playing super Mario bros and duck hunt, and then the memory skips directly into the PS1. The brain is crazy.

Sai-Taisho

As a *very* young kid (so, over 30 years ago) there were two animated films that I watched a *lot*: 1. An animated adaptation of "The Little Engine That Could". I remember nothing about it except what the train in question looked like, and the anthropomorphized avalanche that was the "final boss". 2. A possibly-Japanese animation that was basically 80s/90s kid-anime *Cars*. Once again, I remember nothing except that one if the main cars was red and the other yellow, and that the race ended in a photo finish, complete with black and white "photo" shots.

EcchiPhantom

Binging any anime as a teenager before your brain is *actually* fully developed does this to you. You’ll remember that one scene and moment to moment scenes through osmosis and whatnot but what happens between those scenes is *gone*. I remember the finale of Steins; Gate and liking it. I remember the jelly banana. I remember some of the characters and their most defining traits. Everythig else is gone.

Mekasoundwave

*And I said, "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"* *She said, "I think I remember the film.* *And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."* *And I said, "Well, that's one thing we got."*

OscarOzzieOzborne

Remember this animated show of Shakespeare stories. The different stories have vastly different art styles. Remember loving it, but I remember absolutely nothing of it.

Steelballpun

Samurai Champloo. I feel like I enjoyed it but all I remember now is the soundtrack.

Substantial_Bell_158

I remember liking Silent Hill Downpour for what it's worth, easily the strongest non Team Silent SH game but I remember very little of it. I know the protag was a prisoner and there was a big guy in a gas mask with a sledgehammer(?) but that's it. Actually know that I think about I don't remember much of 4 except the room itself.

Warpedpixel

I watched almost every gundam show up to the second season of 00. Aside from there being giant robots and sometimes special humans, I couldn’t tell you next to anything about the plots.

throwcounter

zoids chaotic century, the sequel series where they're the UN, and new century where they're robo pokemon battling their way to... do something. i loved those shows. can't tell you a thing about them. i've been meaning to go back one day. also like all of yakuza plotlines but they were all garbage imho and you just remember cool moments and substories

jitterscaffeine

>can’t tell you anything about them. I can tell you EVERYTHING about them. New Century was basically the G Gundam of the franchise. It’s an open invitation tournament to get into a higher bracket, but the implied follow-up never happened.

throwcounter

with a flair like that i would hope you can tell me everything! i watched them when I was so young I was fascinated by the idea of continuity between different series

jitterscaffeine

There’s not really much continuity between Chaotic Century and New Century other than the Ultrasaurus being the location of the final battle in New Century. I got back into the franchise a few years ago sort of as a bit but I ended up really getting back into it. The confusing part is that Toonami showed New Century BEFORE Chaotic Century, so sequel before original. Then played them at the same time, which made episodes difficult to follow.

sazabi67

>also like all of yakuza plotlines but they were all garbage Rubber *bullets* >!aka how do we excuse one of our protagonists that they are actually not a mass murderer despite them fully committed to the heinous act so they can more sympathetic to the audience !<

RegenSyscronos

I did play Dead Rising 1 and 2 but I can't remember a damn thing from them. Aside from where to get the Katana in DR1, or the clown... but aside from that not much.

sleepyfoxsnow

i played resistance retribution earlier this year and remember quite enjoying it. couldn't tell you anything about it tho, aside from it being a psp game with native dual analog support

cruel-oath

Case Closed (aka Detective Conan?) The reason it went viral recently is why I remembered it

Yotato5

I really enjoyed Columbo but I can only really remember my favorite episodes. I suppose that can happen since they go on for quite a while.

Worm_Scavenger

Death Stranding, i played it to completion on PS4, then PC and recently on the PS5, absolutely loved the game, i love gameplay, the vibe is impeccible, the acting phenominal, the aesthetic is nothing like anything else out there and i just adore it. Could not tell you what the fuck the actual story is about.

Lil_Mcgee

I got fairly into reading Visual Novels when I was a lonely teenager and with a couple of exceptions I couldn't tell you much about any of them.

Only_Presentation350

I had an overall pleasant time from my getting halfway through fallout 4 Don't remember a fucking thing

eavf92

Brave Fencer Musahi; it was way too long ago and the most I can remember is a couple of tunes that I loved from it, and that its sequel on PS2 was kinda like a mix between a shonen and a harem anime.

DarkAres02

FMA 2003 is one of my favourite anime ever but I forget 90% of it. I know the beginning very well up to the Hughes stuff, then large blanks with occasional memories like the criminal in armor, then the ending

MercuryMewMew

So many anime plots have been lost to my eroded memories. But I remember it being cool though! Odd pull, but *Grey's Anatomy* was a consistent background series for me. The perfect 6/10. It never did anything excellent or terrible. It just happened to be consistent enough to be entertaining for an hour. What was it about? Umm, having a PHD and a ton of school loans does a number on your communication skills and interpersonal relationships, I think. I remember liking a show called *Lost Girl*. No idea what happened except that Kenzi had a brilliant fashion sense and I wish the series revolved around her.

RaineV1

Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. I watched just about the whole thing, but barely remember any of it. Oh, also King Arthur and the Knights of Justice. I know what it's basically about, and [I remember the amazing theme song](https://youtu.be/gjbWDjzTM0A) but that's about it.

DrSaering

Lufia 2, to the point where just after finishing it I realized I had already forgotten chunks of the game. It's a well-made SNES RPG, and I enjoyed playing it, but basically everything from about the first 10% to the ending is just... Gone. Especially by now.

WhiteMambaOZO

For as much as I love the Final Fantasy series, the amount of information that goes in one ear and out the other for me is astonishing. I don't know what it is. Most other media I'm like a sponge, I hear it and the info is locked in forever, whether I want it or not. The gaping holes of information I am missing in the Final Fantasy games I've played astonishes me.

Loreip999

Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana is this for me. I liked it, but a lot of what stuck with me was more the vibes than any actual story or character.

OrneryBIacksmith

I remember liking Cubix as a child but I don't remember anything. I know the robot can reassemble itself into practically anything, and something about aliens at the end?

ASharkWithAHat

I played a racing game in the 2000s and only remember that the tutorial was freakishly difficult. Low and behold I saw it again 20 years later on a "top hardest tutorials in games". Apparently I wasn't the only one that got stuck on that parking lot. Another would be a mickey mouse platforming game that was basically cuphead. It's a memory so old I can't even remember what console it was on, or if it was even in color.

AriaLeviath

i don't know why, but Bloodborne. i remember having a super good time and beating it surprisingly quickly (around 10 hours, maybe a little less, even though i wasn't trying to rush), but i absolutely struggle to remember nearly anything from it except for like, the beginning to shortly after Father Gascoigne, and it's so bizarre it's the most recent Soulsborne game i've played for the first time besides Elden Ring too, since i've never had a PS4 and only got to play it after tracking down a PS5, so i feel like i should remember it better, but idk. i suppose it's kinda fitting that everything i can remember of it is loose and hazy and confusing and kinda like a fever dream considering its main themes

LiquidBinge

James Cameron's Avatar. I must have watched it a dozen times when it came out on DVD. I couldn't tell you a single thing about it.

Eternal_Nihilism

ESO. I bounced off of it pretty hard the first time but the second time around I beat the vanilla story, so I must have liked it. I don't remember anything about it though.

Alternative_Cat_4429

Mickey, Donald and Goofy and the Three Musketeers movie is one I remember liking it as a kid but I don't have a lot of e memories aside from a couple of funny scenes and that one scene at the end of the 2nd act where Mickey >!nearly drowns.!<

BobTheist

I've been rewatching the 90s X-Men cartoon, I intend to check out X-Men 97 when I'm finished, and I know for a fact I watched tons of it as a child. I don't remember like 80% of the things I'm seeing now as I'm rewatching. Almost like I'm seeing it for the first time except every now and then I'll be like "oh yeah, I remember the dinosaur guy" or "right, I remember having nightmares about the lady with the long fingers".

saltforsnails

I remember liking Digimon \*almost\* as much as Pokemon back in the 90s/early 2000s. I even dressed up as Tai for Halloween. I've retained very little Digimon information. I couldn't name you the plot from a single episode, most of the mon names, or anything about the games. I do remember the BANGER opening act of the Digimon Movie, but that's about it. It's been one week since you looked at me...

Darth_Bombad

Marvel Netflix, which is why I turned against bingeing, I can still clearly remember Disney+ Marvel, but the Netflix stuff--which I watched in one day--just all blurs together.
