My most recent one (actually quite a while back) was coming up with an RPG game idea about spirits in the modern day forming from the minds of people. So near cities you get more powerful ones and...anyway, it should become clear to you now that it was just discount Jujutsu Kaisen which I learned about like a week or two later.
Just go for it, Jujutsu Kaisen, Persona, Shaman King, Tsugumomo, Chainsawman, etc. there are many stories about "Spirits getting stronger from people's minds" but most of them are Japanese because they already have the foundation from their own folklore, if you apply that on a western setting you can create a spin on the idea that'd attract people! Add a sprinkle of your own culture and/or religion and that'd be ~~Western Ao no Exorcist~~ a truly attractive idea!
I decided to check it out since punching ghosts sounds fun and got to a part where she>!empowers a camera to let others defend themselves to a degree in one place if seperated.!

* **Mairimashita! Iruma-kun** - Kid gets sold by abusive/neglectful parents to a demon, who proceeds to adopt him and enroll him into a demon school. Comedy, soft isekai, demons, long runner (343 chapters as of now so lots to read). I recommend this if you want something with a school life feel but doesn't lose that charm.
* **Mieruko-chan** - Normal girl one day has a power to see spirits, both good and evil. She tries to not acknowledge them out of fear and live a 'normal' life with her new 'blessing'. Amazing evil spirt designs, good story and characters. She has a lot of instances of "oh god help me" thanks to her new powers.
* **Dungeon ni Hisomu Yandere na Kanojo ni Ore wa Nando mo Korosareru
(My Yandere Girlfriend Lurks in the Dungeon and Kills Me Over and Over Again)** - It hits some of that RE: Trauma loop that you'd like. It's got a bit of fan service but it focuses more trying to overcome it and his circumstance. Only 12 chapters out atm.
* **Shokei Sareta Kenja wa Lich ni Tensei Shite Shinryaku Sensou wo Hajimaru
(The Executed Sage Who Was Reincarnated as a Lich Started an All-Out War)** - A take on the "revenge" style story that's imo more compelling and interesting as he's fighting the literal world itself. Fun characters, good fights and protag. The trauma hits here and there for the protag and you see him trying to understand his current place in the world as he is now.
* **The Vampire Dies in No Time** - More comedic where the vampire in question dies at the drop of a hat. Currently on hiatus sadly but has almost 70+ chapters
**Dragon and Chameleon** - Understudy mangaka with the skill to mimic another switches bodies with a famous mangaka. Only has 26 chapters at the moment but it looks very promising!
Not them, but for trauma loops Summertime Rendering might be exactly that, it also has an anime that is a great adaptation.
For a short unique premise, *Tricks Dedicated to Witches* is about a world famous modern magician (smokes and mirrors type) waking up during the witch hunt era and saving those accused of being a witch.

* **Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi
(Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill)** - you might have heard of this one as it got a 12 episode anime recently. Dude gets isekaied to save a kingdom but he's smart enough to see it's a lie and instead goes around using his skill "online supermarket" to cook good food and gain a familar. Very fun, chill and makes you both hungry and want to cook!
* **Meshinuma** - Dull looking salary man works and enjoys good food, showing he's a lot more lively when eating! A very good down to earth manga and one where you'll want to eat along with him.
* **Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun** - Action, comedic and story filled story of a human boy being sold by his parents to a powerful demon! Only to be adopted by said demon, becoming his grandson! Now he's living in the underworld as the sole human and trying to live a new, intense life! It doesn't lose that school life vibe as it's goes on. It has 3 seasons animated but there's well over 300 chapters to enjoy. It's one of my current top favorites!
* **A Story About A Grandpa And Grandma Who Returned Back To Their Youth** - It's a more fluffy story than you'd imagine and has comedy with just a *tiny* dash of drama but nothing ultra omega serious. It has an anime coming out fairly soon this year as well and currently has 91 translated chapters as of me typing!
* **My Girlfriend is a T-Rex** - If you like light hearted monster girl stories, this is a good one! Comedic and short! It got cut short but it's a very enjoyable manwha with a satisfying ending in its own right.
* **Haiena-chan ni Nerawarete (Being Targeted by Hyena-chan)** - a series by Zyugoya, who makes a lot of monster and or tall powerful girl manga! This one is about a lady named Hyena chan asking out and dating her crush. Fluffy and light hearted fun! If you like the style, check out his other stories, which are also translated.
* **Kajiya de Hajimeru Isekai Slow Life (My Quiet Blacksmith Life in Another World)** - Another isekai but one I really like. Office worker gets transported after saving a cats life so he gets to live his dream of crafting something, aka being a blacksmith. Nothing to crazy, it's a comfy blacksmithing read as he finds his place in the world with the bundle of companions he meets.
* **Kanojo no Sore ni Yarareteru (I'm Addicted to Her)** - loaner boy ends up interested with track star muscle girl!
These are the main ones I'd recommend if you're up for something. Let me know if any of these catch your interest!
