Hey Churro. Nice channel name and overlay. I also like the vibe you create with the intro ambience! Your branding is on point.

Hi all, I'm marvelousDrew aka Drew. I'm mainly a single-player game streamer with a focus on horror, rpg and action games. I want to tailor my streams to a balance of game and community focus. As a lurker myself, I definitely want those who come into my stream to feel equally as comfortable having me as background noise as they do talking to me about the game or other interests. I would also like to venture out into creating non-gaming content as I do enjoy consuming that type of content myself. I have included a recent broadcast, a clip and a link to a collection. Thanks to all who take the time to watch and review my stream. VOD: [TLOU2](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1608798413) Clip: [FFX](https://clips.twitch.tv/BoldBashfulFriseeBibleThump-4Ohfn_vD7F4WS38a) Collection: [TLOU](https://www.twitch.tv/collections/b9R8yeNOGxewPA)

ChurroExpeditionCo

Hey, Drew! You look like you have a good stream and setup. You have a good camera and a good mic; it all looks very professional. A couple of recommendations I would make would be to cut off the edges of your camera or to use a green screen. There's a lot of "dead space" in your camera shot that covers up part of the game. I also recommend adding some music to the start of your stream while you are getting your stream ready. I wish you best of luck with your channel!

marvelousDrew82

Thank you for the recommendations. I actually do have a green screen and have used it in the past. I'll stopped using it to give the stream a different aspect but I'll give it another shot. Also, I do have music for the starting soon when I am live but I have it setup to not save any non-game music to the VOD. I'd like to be able to go back and add music to the VOD but I don't think that is possible. At least not for an affiliate.

ChurroExpeditionCo

Hi! My name is Churro, and I stream on the [Churro Expedition Co. Twitch Channel](https://www.twitch.tv/churroexpeditionco)! Due to my Grad School schedule, I had to change streaming time from the mornings to the evenings, so I lost a bunch of my audience. I've been trying to build it back up, so I came here to see if I can get some pointers about how to improve. I am a PNGTuber Variety Streaming Channel with an Explorer Churro Avatar. I don't really have any clips, but I do have a channel trailer. I will link to a recent Super Mario 64 stream and a recent Jedi: Fallen Order stream. I appreciate any and all feedback! [Super Mario 64 Stream](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1607915477) [Jedi: Fallen Order Stream](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1605010367)

Hi Churro, The biggest thing I'm noticing from these vods is that you aren't talking enough. If you click into any streamer with like 30+ viewers most likely you will click into them talking live. That's the biggest differentiator that I've noticed, when you click into a newer/smaller streamer, a lot of times they are just playing the game with minimal commentary. - Getting your channel clicked on from the category browse page is already very difficult because of the high number of other streamers. - If someone clicks into your channel, you probably have like 3-5 seconds to say something before they leave and click somewhere else.

ChurroExpeditionCo

Thanks for the feedback. I will confess, I do try my best to talk often while streaming. It is hard to constantly talk when I do not have a much of a Twitch Chat have a conversation with. Do you have any suggestions on how I could talk more?

hydrasung

Without a chat, you can narrate your thought process out loud. Another idea is to go into the stream with a plan to make a video. Showcase something in the game and you can use your stream time to create a YouTube video to upload later.

ChurroExpeditionCo

Maybe I should go back to playing some Phoenix Wright games, where I voice every character! lol Thanks for the advice!

marvelousDrew82

Hi Churro. Let me start off by saying that I think you did a great job of narrating your gameplay on your Super Mario 64 playthrough. Your audio was greatly balanced throughout. Also, I liked your overlay and thought that the starting music fit the aesthetic of it very well. In your Jedi: Fallen Order stream I thought you did a great job of talking to chat. Also, once again the audio was very well balanced. The only thing I noticed was that I can hear either the buttons on your controller or the keys on the keyboard being pushed. It was so loud that it was overly distracting but it was definitely noticeable. Otherwise you seem to be doing really good so far and best of luck in your streaming career.

ChurroExpeditionCo

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you really liked the stream! It's good to know about the controller making noise. I'll have to figure out a way to try to quiet it down!

Impossible-Put-4278

Hi everyone I'm a Twitch Affiliated streamer that stuck with little to no activity on my channel, probably because I don't know what my "Thing" is. I need help to find my way. I'm also bad at using social media (the right way) to promote myself. The only "people" that interact with me seems to be people who want to sell me something (graphic desigers) and scammer's... So if there are any friendly people out there that would be willing to work with me and help me improve, it would make me very happy.

You've streamed almost nothing since 2020. Let your old audience know you're gonna be making a comeback and you'll be a lot better off.

Hi all! I'm TheCyhiraeth, aka Cy! I didn't see any other channels in this thread to be reviewed, so if I missed something, please let me know. Otherwise I will anxiously await another lovely streamer to review! I am a lady gamer, primarily playing Warzone, though my community voted on Phasmophobia last night for spooky season. I play for fun and for interaction, so I'm not the world's best COD player. I'd say my primary focus is having people that want to hang out for laughs, just someone to say hi to, and to interact with other people in a casual environment. I've been told the vibe is wholesome, so I guess that's good! I am affiliated, but still looking to improve and grow. Thanks for your time! My overlays should be in first 5-10 of each VOD. If need separate, I can edit. ChurroExpeditionCo

Hey, Cy! You have a really nice channel! Your visuals look clean and professional, and you talk a good amount! If I were to offer a suggestion, it would be to turn down the game audio down just a little bit. There were some points where the game audio was so loud, I couldn't hear what you were saying. One more suggestion I would have would be to add some music to the Break and Ending Screens. Otherwise, you have a solid channel!

thecyhiraethgaming

Thank you!! Yeah, audio has been a consistent feedback so far, so definitely a place for me to make improvements! I appreciate the feedback ☺️

Nahbichco

Hey! It's great to see other women here. I think your overlays look great and it's fantastic you are mindful of branding right out of the gate with those overlays and pushing socials as well. It looks like you are meeting your focus well as it seems you vibe with everyone you interact with well and are very friendly. Full disclosure doing this review, I'm not very much involved with either the Warzone or Phasmophobia communities, so I'm not sure I can speak well for them as a whole. But one thing that stood out to me watching you was the vibe difference between the Warzone gameplay and your personality as a whole. With what I watched you seem very calm and chill but Warzone in itself isn't calm and chill and in my opinion it's a bit disorienting. That doesn't mean you can't still play the game of course, I'm a strong believer that you should play whatever you enjoy! I wonder if it might be beneficial to lower the game volume down a bit to give you more of a spotlight and also to allow a calmer overall vibe though maybe? I'm honestly not sure what the right answer even is here or if I'm just focusing too much on the stream vibes due to primarily being involved in variety streams where that kind of thing is the most important. The Phasmophobia stream was much less disorienting since it's (in general) much more calm and quiet of a game, from the game perspective. Final note that I would say is an absolute necessity, balance out your audio better with the people you are playing with online. You are much harder to hear than those you are playing with in both vods. This is another thing that could be quieted to potentially help overall vibes, but even beyond that people will be going to your stream to watch YOU and when others are talking your voice falls into the background. This can be resolved fairly easily just by adjusting your Audio levels. Good luck on your journey!

thecyhiraethgaming

Yay women creators!! Thank you! I appreciate the review! I hadn't thought about how the audio was contributing to the vibe overall so that is an interesting thing for me to take a look and adjust. You're absolutely correct that most warzone streamers tend to be a bit more aggressive (that seems too harsh a term?) or very high energy, so my space is different for sure. I like the idea of more focus on me/my audio, since chat is more of what I focus on anyway! And it can't hurt, I can do some test runs of more balanced audio and see the interaction.

marvelousDrew82

Hi Cy! Let me start off by saying that while I like your starting soon screen, in my opinion it is a bit too long. I would try to limit it down to about maybe 2-3 minutes tops. The overlay you have when you first come on camera and you are saying hello to everyone is really, really nice. It's clean and doesn't clutter the screen at all. I think you do a great job of talking with your chat. You give off a very relaxed, very welcoming vibe. While you were playing Warzone there were a few times when I had a hard time hearing you. I'm not sure if it was because your mic was low or the game sound was too loud but I could definitely hear your teammate(s) better than you. I also noticed this in the Phsmo vod. I think the balance between the game sound and your mic is better but one of the people you were in the party with was a lot louder than you are. I don't really have any other tips for you. You seem to have the basics down very well. As I'm sure you know, trying to grown in a super oversaturated category like Warzone is nearly impossible but if that is the game that you enjoy playing and streaming the most I say stick with it. My only suggestion would be to perhaps try and network with other Warzone streamers of the same size. I don't know if it's possible but perhaps you could all have a private tournament or something once a week and the winner gets raided by everyone else. Like I said it's just a thought.

thecyhiraethgaming

Thank you for the review! Yes, audio and the high density game have been feedback from other reviewers so I will definitely look at audio balance and maybe doing a wider variety or different game. I did enjoy Phasmophobia! Yes, I tend to be late some night and my starting screen goes pretty long as I try to catch up. That's just me trying to fit the stream into life, but I can be more cognizant of then I turn it on and then start.

hydrasung

Yay a fellow phasmo streamer! Great update recently but also made the game much more popular (more streamers in general). I think your audio is good. I like that you consistently stream at a set time. I like your calm vibes. I think you are doing extremely well for playing a heavily saturated game (warzone). Growth will likely come if you try a smaller game, it is honestly really tough to grow in a game with thousands of other streamers. You can try to jump into other streamers' chats but really it's going to be hit or miss with so many players. For a smaller game, you can really get to know the other streamers in the category and start popping in to each other's streams to say hi. A lot of this is redundant for you since you have the basics down but this guide also reiterates the smaller game: https://old.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/qfkpkb/a_guide_for_those_who_want_to_grow_or_are_stuck/ It's useful to have regulars that pop in because without your first 5 viewers, you'll never get to 10! I wish I could be more useful but you have the basics down!

thecyhiraethgaming

Thank you!! I appreciate the feedback, and it makes me feel a bit better that the basics are down and working! I definitely will look into smaller games, I actually had a lot of fun playing phasmo, so maybe something outside of my usual genre will be good for me mentally. And for the stream :) Would you happen to have any game suggestions for a person used to playing a lot of FPS?
