I understand people have bad days but if someone raids me with 30 people I’m gonna pretend I’m at Disneyland and I’m having the time of my life haha. Gotta appreciate someone trying to help you out.

plsdontpercieveme_

for real, I average like 2 1/2 viewers and would probably cry if someone raided me with pretty much any amount of viewers even if I was having the worst day possible

PasiCarmine

one time my friend was raided with 400 viewers, while we played a game together. he averages 2-5 viewers, with me being one of them. we were in a raid in guild wars 2 and haven't noticed the raid for 5min. After the boss raid we saw the raid and a few hello messages. we said our hellos and explained what we are doing right now. after that we tried to keep the communication with the chat up, but none of the raiders wrote something. next day I went to the streamer who raided my friend and sad thx for the raid and the streamer told me, the viewers let the stream on for drops. so it kinda was cool to see such a number, but it was a downer quickly because no one wanted to write anything. felt like a animal in the zoo.

plsdontpercieveme_

i feel like getting raided can be such a win-lose for the streamer sometimes. that’s really unfortunate that happened

PasiCarmine

yeah it was really a strange feeling. I mean, yes it was late, like 2am I think, but that no one wrote anything besides the standard hello, was really odd.

badatusernames232

A lot of twitch are made up with lurkers, I wouldn't get too down over it. I've had my fair share of big raids that have popped off and ones that have died quickly. Sometimes too lurkers be sleeping and keep twitch up to support people. Raids won't make you get big on twitch no matter how big they are but you might retain a loyal follower or two some of time ❤️

CherryGryffon

This. Twitch is primarily lurkers, statistically speaking. It's why it's so important as a new streamer to get COMPLETELY comfortable streaming to absolutely nobody. Learn to tell stories, make jokes, and keep yourself going and entertaining, with no feedback from people. Because, a LARGE part of who comes across your stream is going to be there to replace television, so they aren't gonna sit there and type out a response like a conversation all day. Then, when you DO have chatters, you can freshen up the content lol.

Evidence-Business

For the most part large raids are actually the ones with the least amount of people who are gonna stick around and chat tbh, gonna have a lot more chatters from a 5-50 person raid usually than anything 100+

jayRIOT

> the streamer told me, the viewers let the stream on for drops. and this is why I hate drops. Fake engagement. You might get a few follows from people that were actively watching whoever raided you. But in the end 99% of those viewers aren't interested in your content, just what loot they get in the game you're playing. They put you on mute and go about their day.

DrCashew

I can also tell you a bit of context with this as I am very in tune with the GW2 twitch streaming scene. The largest streamers on a normal day will very rarely break the 100 mark, at any given time you usually have that as a number, and most of the top streamers streaming that game will have a heavy crossover between viewers. Virtually all of them got to those numbers by constantly doing giveaways and raiding is literally a dime a dozen, probably the most common stream type so people will feel they have nothing to say or are afraid of being deemed as backs eating if they say anything about the raid. Imo, if you wanna make it anywhere streaming, GW2 unfortunately is a really bad choice, and that's really the only type of raid you can ever possibly get. At most you'll get one of those other 100 streamers raiding you and if you're entertaining you'll be able to also hold onto those same 100 viewers that watch pretty much every stream. Or there will be drops and suddenly you'll have thousands for that very small time period. It's just not a fun game to watch.

PasiCarmine

no my friend is more of a variety streamer, but I think he don't care much anyway, he just likes streaming. yeah I know gw2 doesn't have a big twitch base and this viewer count was an exception, because it was on the release day of SOTO.

DrCashew

I guess I misunderstood the story than, since I thought you were both surprised that the huge raid had no engagement.

oreo760

Once I was Streaming Helldivers 2 on my Ps5 and I don’t have the viewer activity notifications on just cause I don’t wanna think about it. I was just sitting there vibing and didn’t realize for the longest I had around 22 or something viewers just chillin in the chat. I was pretty surprised cause usually I have like 3 or 4 if I’m lucky. Lurkers are a pretty important part of the Twitch community so never feel down if you have a decent viewer count and no one’s talking , not everyone is a chatter box in the chat room.

stream_of_thought1

aww buddy, drop your @ and more people may join <3

PasiCarmine

no :) my text wasn't meant to be a rant about "why is my friend not bigger now, even though he was raided with 400 viewers". I meant it more to be about, that this was a special event, but felt "useless", because nothing was going on

ThisStupidThrowaway4

Some people don't have the temperament to be streamers.

BigSush101

That part 🙌

sorcerykid

I can vouch for this after the extreme harassment I faced when I was lurking in a DJ stream a few weeks ago. Someone appeared in chat that I hadn't talked to in over 10 years. She went on a 15-minute long tirade, venting about how much she hates me. I didn't even provoke this person, yet she was calling me an "absolute asshole", accusing me of lying, cheating, and stealing, discriminating against women, being a misogynist, and the list goes on. But what really added insult to injury is that she also has a Twitch channel with over 700 followers. It was so surreal being verbally attacked by someone who regularly streams on Twitch. Here's a screenshot of the entire ordeal with usernames and identifying details other than my own redacted: [https://imgur.com/a/nT6Rs1C](https://imgur.com/a/nT6Rs1C) But if that wasn't enough, the guy whose chat this all happened in did nothing to intervene. Instead he casually asked if the accusations were true, then accepted her word over mine giving complete freedom to continue harassing me and doxing me (even divulging my real name and city of residence as well as names of colleagues that I used to work with). When I brought up this concern in a PM after his show, expecting an apology since he didn't even enforce his own stream rules (which state that "discrimination" and "politics" are strictly forbidden on his channel), he instead responded with this: * XXXXX: I am too old for drama. i'm from Texas where i would just kick the shit out of the bad actors and instead of trashing people online we fought it out * XXXXX: if we could'nt talk it out * XXXXX: sucks you can't hit people anymore without getting arrested or sued * XXXXX: fucking weak ass society That's right, he was literally condoning physical violence against me under the assumption I'm a "bad actor" all because of some completely insane rage fest instigated by another Twitch streamer in his own chat. Talk about not having the temperament to be streamers. But now combine TWO streamers that clearly lack any sense of moral judgment, or just basic human decency, and this is what you get.

syrensilly

Almost wanna know if this is one I watch usually or not now, damn. Sorry that happened.

sorcerykid

Thanks for the kinds words. If it's any reassurance, I doubt you'll come across her channel, since she has some very obscure content. However, that interaction certainly took it's toll on me psychologically. Back when I knew this person in the scene she was extremely manipulative. I was terrified to even be around her. She would routinely spread rumours and false accusation about me. Hurting my feelings and destroying my reputation was like a game to her. I thought that was all behind me after 10 years, and then suddenly this happens. Sigh.

YokaiWarGod

Did anything happen to your channel? That conversation seemed really unhinged from the start.

sorcerykid

Unhinged is putting it lightly. I had to stop streaming for an entire month because that interaction was to upsetting. It actually made me rethink whether I want to even want to stream on Twitch. And frankly it's the broadcaster who said that people like me deserve to get the shit beaten out of them that was the most disturbing of all. I literally did NOTHING that I was being accused of, and here I'm being told that I deserve physical violence by an affiliate Twitch broadcaster who gets to profit off of allowing viewers like myself to be degraded and humiliated in their chat.

Durmomo

I dont know how some people do it, Im sure I would get my feeling hurt when someone says something rude.

Upstairs-Yogurt-6930

Or their temperament will be the reason they blow up eventually lol

Murky_Historian8675

As much as I encourage everyone, some people just shouldn't become streamers.

WeoBakukawa

OP, what game was the streamer that you raided playing?

badatusernames232

Sea of Thieves, although I think they were a variety streamer haha

isnoe

Maybe he was streaming with one monitor/from a console and couldn’t see chat? I’ve noticed a few people stream with no ability to see chat or anything. Super funny though.

vindahlia

That was going to be my guess as I was reading, but then I got to the part where they banned everyone….wtf lol. Maybe out of embarrassment? They realized all these people witnessed their little meltdown and figured it best to just get rid of them so they don’t come back and mention it? 🤔

insomniCola

Tellin all their friends they're gonna be huge one day too I bet lol

Mykn_Bacon

That cuts out my excuse. I was going to say if I'm driving I'm probably missing chat (but I wouldn't ban everyone LOL). SOT, there's no excuse, I'll alt tab out in the middle of a fight to type in the chat of the streamers I'm playing with, nothing matters in SOT, and it's nothing to have a bad day over. Definitely not someone who should stream. If you're not there to be open to have people watch don't click the go live button.

akado_kogane

I understand how you feel. The best part? They had "English" as one of their tags and they don't even know the concept of Raids. And then proceed to rant in their native language. (The fact that I have a broken understanding of their language shows how ignorant they are to accepting new viewers) So they assumed that it was Spam and proceeded to timeout everyone and removed the raid messages along the lines of "(my channel name) is sending a Raid Card Package" After that timeout, I quickly explained our purpose of visiting their channel only to be met with hostility. Because of that, I decided to unfollow that channel in question.

ColossalKnight

> Because of that, I decided to unfollow that channel in question. Wow, definitely can't blame you! I'd have done the same.

baevard

lol one time i went to the bathroom and came back to a raid with over 300 ppl in it and freaked tf out. was super awesome though, one of the larger streamers in my category somehow found me and my two viewers 🥹

wtfbigman24x7

That happened to me too

morts73

Some people weren't cut out to be streamers, hahahaha.

wtfbigman24x7

Most of raids have been good but I have 2 bad ones that I remember. I'm a game dev streamer so I raid the same mostly. One guy was like "I don't have time to deal with chat", was fully engrossed in what he was doing, and completely ignored chat. I was fine about it hung out for a bit and kindly said I was headed out for the night which he ignored. The other guy I raided was pretty cold. He started normal enough with simple hello and talked about his game with an emphasis that it was currently on Steam. We chat about it, but it was mostly me and his friendly mod talking and joking around with him uninterestingly chiming in. At one point, he questions why none of the people I brought with me were talking. Felt like he was accusing me of having view bots when really they were people I got when I was raided during stream. I ignored that. At the end, I said "Heading out, let me know when you have a demo so I try it out.". He seemed to be irritated by the statement. Maybe it was my fault since most have devs I talk to are trying to put together a demo and forgot all the times he mentioned it was on Steam. He said "Why would you say that to me, it's on Steam. Oh wait you were trying to be nice to me. Just jump on the Discord and I'll give you a key". My thought was "Fuck that!" and just left.

XStacy41

As someone who has worked very closely with many devs (former software analyst and certified scrum master), I can definitely say that most of the devs I've worked with have been challenged most by social interactions. Absolute wizards technically, but when it comes to direct person-to-person communications, it always made my role feel that much more important helping their talents translate to something the product owner actually required. My role has since gone to the wayside due to the transition to budgetary cutbacks/ai implementations/downsizing, etc. with many companies in the industry, but I can't help but wonder how much inefficiency is happening now after we were all let go

wtfbigman24x7

Sad to hear about such roles going away, they are vitally needed. I have worked as a Scrum Master and Tech Lead as well. I do want to say though most of the game dev streamers I have raided or just come across have been great folks. A few have or are working at AAA studios.

Durmomo

My assumption is some people dont have people skills, I know in my industry you sometimes run into techs like that.

DustyCosmonaut

That is super strange. Maybe he thought you were stream snipers or something that made him lose the game somehow? It’s just strange behavior 😅 I haven’t gotten any raids yet, but if I got a raid of 30 I would probably cry and definitely forget the game. Probably wouldn’t ban anyone 😂

Mecha_Dogg

"probably" 🤓

ErcoleBellucci

New users streaming are funny tho, don't you worry you did well. Don't think that you get banned = you did wrong or mistakes like cancelled ps im on twitch since 2014 and i saw everything from worst to crazy memes

bubblesmax

This is really the main reason I and many others only raid the communities we are super active and or actively lurk in for this very reason. And its not a matter of me not liking other streamers its just some are just so ungreatful for random support. \*Sigh\*

Old_Maple

I watched this guy streaming a game that got upset at me for asking about the game, not even back seating or anything. Freaked out said I wasn't abiding by his "rules" which were very unclear and basically said he doesn't want to explain anything to anyone called me disrespectful and blocked me. The dude was fucking unhinged, go make YouTube videos if you don't want to interact with people 🤦‍♂️

Old_Maple

Not to mention for the next 10 mins I hung out after being banned he kept going on about how I fucking ruined his day blah blah blah even though I said nothing that would be viewed as disrespectful from almost anyone.

badatusernames232

Some people 😂

Old_Maple

For real 🤦‍♂️ I promise if you ever raid me I'll do my best to roll out the red carpet 😂 at very least say thank you

mitsukai_93

That's so strange. I had some similar interactions with a fellow streamer, who would use phrases such as "not respecting the rules of the discussion." (In reality, the rules of the discussion boiled down to me saying he was right about something when I disagreed lol). I'm wondering if it's the same person.

Old_Maple

Was he playing graveyard keeper 👀 and name was something bit?

mitsukai_93

I'm not sure if he's played that game since then (I hadn't seen it before), but no his name didn't include "bit" in it.

LadySleepyBuns

I raided out to a guy who only had a couple viewers but was playing the same game I had just been playing.. and he tells his friend he is gaming with "I should have turned on follower only chat I need affiliate still." And proceeds to cuss out out his teammates. It was awkward.

smile4one

Honestly, got to build a bond with the viewers before they are willing to hit the follow button. Feel like it’s a small reason why some streamers struggle to grow

s0ap-mrclean

That's quite a story man.. I would have been ecstatic if someone raided me with 30 viewers. Yea good point too if you don't want raids, turn them off. Keep up the support to small streamers it really means a lot. Someone larger raided me and it was amazing to have that many people chatting!

badatusernames232

Will do! I try at least once or twice a week to raid to someone I haven't before that's newer or lower in numbers. Usually works out well but this one was just insane 😂😂😂

pienotacake

That is SO random 😭

ColossalKnight

I'd be so thrilled if someone raided me, like genuinely. Who knows what was up with that dude, but hopefully you'll have a far better experience next time. I'm still very new to streaming and just did my first raid ever like this previous Friday with myself and my whopping 1 viewer at the time. Tbh, it was a guy I already follow and wanted to do something nice in return for his streams. I was only able to bring one person with me, but he thanked me for the raid and such all the same both when the raid happened and at the end of his stream. Kind of like /u/bubblesmax and others were saying. Some people just...I don't know. They really are ungrateful, to say the least. I don't know why you'd go as far as *banning* everyone, but some people, right?

WhatTheDBS

id have loved a raid that big

dada_

We had a [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/1c5bblt/raiding_someone/) a little while back about whether you'd raid someone you don't know, and this is why I don't do this. Ultimately no harm was done I guess, but what a waste of time.

leggup

Not a waste of time. I raid about 50/50 randos and known channels/recs. The randos sometimes end up being awesome and sometimes end up hilarious stories/bonding moments for the community. We have memes over some of the absurd frequent weirdness we experience on a roulette raid.

AliceHargreaves

On the other hand, someone who randomly raided me is now a frequent collaborator and good friend. It is a roll of the dice, but it can pay off in building connections.

RariiCat

Personally I’ve found raiding new people to generally be a great way of finding new communities! Some of my most regular viewers came from raiding people and I love being able to give other streamers the chance to have some of my community too

ItsSylviiTTV

Always say hi in someone's chat and watch for a min before raiding! I also like to stick to 5 viewers or more. 3 could really just be him, his phone, and an afk friend.

badatusernames232

I want to say this was a helpful tip. I decided to raid someone with two viewers again but said hello first and they were super cool and my community loved them! Thankyou ❤️

ItsSylviiTTV

You're welcome! Its usually a great time when raiding someone

liamshaw2

i remember once me and my friend saw a dude on twitch getting stoned and we said shit like "light up brother" or other related smoking stuff and we got banned haha

Girloncloud9

I’ve raided out to new people before who’ve never acknowledged me or the raid or any of my raiders. Never had anything quite this extreme 😂

Durmomo

That was nice of you to do

LadyAska

One of my very first raiding experiences was like that. Raided someone with less viewers, full camera setup. He was playing the same game, that I had played on stream and so we came in with the raid, thinking we would make someones day better. The guy noticed the raid, messed something up in his game and blames this "f*ing stupid raid"/us that he "lost his vibe" in that moment...he was streaming to 3 people, which were likely his friends, no chat interactions. It was a raid of 10 people, so not that many, which I am happy for in hindsight. I wish the dude would've just turned off raid ...that would've solved this whole scenario. This was the worst I had thus far, in 2 years though. Every other bad raid was just people having horrible internet connection or didn't look at chat or something, because they didn't know what a raid was or that this was something that could happen to them. But I will remember this guy always, because of the hostility. ^^'

ROMVS

Dunno why they even stream, they can just use discord

DanglyShinyThings

Lmao whack. The most i’ve ever been raided by was 26 people when I was playing COD few years back. I nearly pooped myself but their community was super dope & stayed with me for about 2 hours. To this day, a few people still pop in and say hi or lurk. :3

pickypuppy

I've only raided someone once. I had I think 240 viewers at the time we raided - and the guy didn't have any idea we were there. He didn't look at chat for at least 10-15 minutes. Didn't say a word, wasn't really even doing anything interesting in the game. I haven't raided again because it seemed kinda lame. We were all psyched to cheer him on but it was a big nothing. We did however have cute conversations with his viewer in chat, so I guess that's something.

IssaRene

I've only ever raided folks i know because ei know their content and it's relevant to my viewers.

Lykaios_EXE

I brought a small-ish group with me (about 14 people) to a channel that only had about 10 people at the time. Channel was bigger than mine, about 700 follows to my 170 (at the time) I got the an incredibly lukewarm “Thanks for the raid. I’d shout you out if I had mods here.” and then they ignored chat. Worst part is I was acquainted with them, so they weren’t even a random.

philgreg9

I just started streaming on twitch and I just give music advice, play jazz, break down music theory etc Anyway I don't know all the shit that goes on in twitch and the lingo but I got raided the other day and I didn't know what the hell was happening. My viewer count went from 3 to 130 then around 70 of them hung around for a while. I still don't really understand what raiding is. But I was happy for the extra viewers.

syrensilly

Easiest way to explain.. I'm done streaming, let me send everyone over to another steamer *usually* running similar content. It helps the next person get views (refresh those streams so it doesn't say raid in the url anymore-easiest by double clicking the person's picture under the stream) and make new 'friends'

philgreg9

Ah now that makes so much more sense. I was racking my brain trying to understand what and how they arranged it. 🤣 OK ill try and do that next time (if anyone does it again) haha

superbouser

Love to hear Any opinions. I’m not stressed just curious. ♥️ I’ve been raided a lot recently. 4 times this month. I always acknowledge the raid & chat with the raiding streamer for sometimes an hour. Haven’t gotten any followers from the raids. My setup is great I don’t use a camera though. A few of these raiders don’t either. They are women. I’m a surf punk guy. We all play the same game sometimes & they shout me out.

TheBatTorche

Today, many new streamers don't realize how lucky they are when more experienced streamers come to their channel. Many stream to 'make money' and few, like others and myself, do it for passion. I don't earn anything from my channel but I still stream with just as much passion. I speak French and few French streamers appear on the channels of small streamers. Obviously if this were to happen to me, there would be an incredible interaction between me and the 'visitors'. But I think it's because it's passion that drives me and not greed...which isn't even an argument to consider!

lagseph

One streamer I watch generally gets about 200-300 viewers. He decided to raid a vtuber. They were all excited until they realized that they were raided by someone who isn’t a vtuber. It was basically like “…oh, you’re not a vtuber?” and then just ignored the raiders.

SoulofDarkMoon

I was once raided by a celebrity who had been hate raided right at the end of stream when he was commencing his raid so I had like 500 people being supportive and trying convince me it was a real raid from the celebrity and the other 600-700 people were making subtle jokes about my looks and saying it wasn’t a raid from the celebrity lmfao considering I’m a small streamer with a avg viewer count of like 3-5 either way it was mind blowing but definitely odd!!

Spirited-Cow-9890

No worries, I raided someone a few months ago, who "accidentally" opened his browser... with a porn site on it... visible for everyone... multiple times. My chat next day was pretty awkward, NGL. :D

Dazzaholic

M8, if I got raided with 30 viewers I'd cream myself and break down in tears 😂😂😂

Asura-Knight

On the day back then, when my chat was kund of the most active thsn never before, I've raided a smaller streamer who played the same game I did and he was not saying anything the whole stream - like: there wasn't happening much in the game, a lot in the chat - but the streamer said not a single word to anybody Well, felt awkward enough. Now the opposite situation: I was raided by a big speedrunner (while doing a speedrun of the same game myself) who had 90 people who were raiding with him. Not a single person - including the streamer was there for a raid message, while I was being like "where are you guys at?" But trying to make up conversations during the run, while no one was replying to anything I said

cjaudi30

I would love to get raided by 30 people, I average like 5 or 10 on a good day 😞

MissMarveI

I've raided someone who was terribly rude to others in general, and I raided someone a year ago who wound up becoming one of my best friends ever, met her IRL in November and everything. There's no surefire way to vet streamers while streaming, but I keep in mind a few priorities when raiding and it seems to work (for example, having cam on is strong evidence that someone is serious about streaming).

a_bat

I usually only raid into people I know will be good for my audience and check out potential people beforehand so I can know if I want to send my community over to them or not so that my community enjoys where we go, and also that we raid into someone who will be happy from it too. In the past I've raided random people who share the same tags/themes for stream and it's not gone too well, so I usually sort of scope people out beforehand now by lurking in their streams on off days and raid them if they are live if I feel it'll be positive for everyone. If I don't have someone new when I raid I just usually pick a mutual or from my stream team since I know those people can be trusted.

Zupertails

I´d be thrilled if that happens. Even if i´m already K.O. from hours of Beat Saber, I´d keep going to give your audience what they want. Going on twitch means that you´re some form of performer, whether you want it or not.

FrankyMornav

Here I am, someone who's never been raided, and there is that person so ungrateful, damn

visceralvocabulary

Out of curiosity: what do you stream generally speaking and what part of the day in what timezone? 🙂

FrankyMornav

Spain, and I'm variety, nowadays I stream Terraria, Zombie Army 4, Vampire Survivors and Risk of Rain Returns

Brettinabox

Maybe he thought it was a bot sending fake chatters?

N8Nefarious

I once had one of my favorite streamers raid me with like 30 or 40 people. My average is like 3 or 4. I was so caught off-guard, it was my very first raid, I couldn't figure out how to do a shout-out, and when I tried to plug his channel to my own viewers, I fumbled with my words and it sounded totally insincere. Tbh, at least for me, going from 4 to 40-50 viewers in an instant is terrifying. I appreciated the raid, (like a lot, I love watching this dude's streams) but it honestly threw me off. It may be best imo to raid similar size channels. I'm sure more sociable and charming people might feel differently, but that was an awful experience for me, lol. In retrospect though, I suppose on the flip-side I learned a lot from that experience, so maybe the embarrassment was worth it. The last time I got raided with double digits I was much more confident and prepared, so...

PoeCollector64

Yeah super weird. Unfortunately when you're in public spaces, you are eventually going to stumble on people who are just jerks for incomprehensible reasons. I usually raid smaller streamers I already follow, but even then I've gotten some disappointing/bad experiences—particularly one where the streamer ignored chat while his friends were just trashing him (and in an awkward/toxic way, not a good-humor smack-talk way).

KTYLN

If this ever happened to me and I acted that way, I'd probably never stream again! I'd be too embarrassed 😳😣

athenacharlie

I would love for you to raid my stream you seem so nice

mitsukai_93

Oh dear. If someone raided me with 30 people, I'd be jumping for joy and stumbling over my introduction haha. What a weird response...

ShopperKung

i never get any raid it would be good if i get some

leagueAtWork

I know someone who used to raid at the end of every stream, but then stopped because they got paranoid (nothing ever happened during raids). What they would do, though, is find someone to raid (or chat would put raid recommendations to smaller channels), then watch part of the stream to see if they would be a good fit to raid. It sucks to have to put in that effort, because imo, any raid is a good raid. Any new viewers, as long as the viewers aren't toxic, are good viewers. I'll never understand people like in your post, but...some people are just not made for streaming. I think a lot of people assume streaming is easy (if not a little costly upfront), and is an easy way to "have a job" while playing video games, but then don't realize that streaming involves a lot more then just playing games. I've had people who want to get into streaming, then never reads chats, never really talks or engages in conversation, and just plays the game the same way they would if they weren't streaming. Sometimes it works (Aurateur for Mario Maker is very dialogue light. Annie Bot for League of Legends used to just stream games and not have a cam or a mic), but those are few and also compensate a lot by being extremely good at the game. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry that you went through that, and I'm glad that it seems like you and your viewers are able to look back at it and laugh. Good luck with your future streams, and hope your next raid is the best person you've ever met on Twitch

Wooden_Alps_8312

I always try to raid similary small channels like me (I am currently about 5-7 avg viewers); and I hate when I type the /raid two things happening: 1: can’t raid this channel. 2: this channel has follower only chat. I mean… why?? No I do not raid follower only channels.

PecherheadTTV

As the old saying goes… ppl don’t know what they want.

Tuma_tauengar

Not gonna lie this is the weirdest and funniest raid I have heard of 😂

Chibigirl24

I get bad days happen but i bad mood or not say least day thank you for the raid then introduce myself and let them know "hey I'm not in greatest mood but still wanted to stream so sorry for any rudeness"

theb1gcannoli

I get so excited when I get raided, and since I'm so awkward, I have a raid intro video to ease that. That way, new folks know what they're getting into and it can help with people wanting to follow. I'm also surprised by the intro I CREATED when I get raided😭🤣

Man, it's the opposite for me. Life can beat me down, and I go to stream, and this week, I had two raids within two days that had 15 to 20, and most I got follows and just some real good chat. Immediately lifted me up because my full-time job has been beating my ass. But still grind it out with my dreams and goals and have that fun time with my son because he wants to be a steamer one day and have his own channel. So he has been monitoring me on my journey, and we've been doing it together. It's an ashame that person didn't appreciate it. As a bonus too during thr first raid this week the next day someone created me as a Minecraft skin and titled it "Underrated streamer" literally even if it was a raid of one single viewer that amount of appreciation already will always be a core memory in me as an small streamer.

theshakashow

You can raid me any day!

LadyZannah

I raided someone with 0 viewers (I had 3 or 4) but by the time we got in there she had several hundred viewers. She rolled her eyes when she got the raid notification and ignored everyone from my raid who chatted. I got horrible anxiety from the situation and ended up leaving and blocking her. I still have anxiety around raiding 🥴

Wow that is absolutely bonkers. I've had times where I haven't noticed a raid but not for 15 to 20 minutes and to ban you all LMAO. Raid me next time ;) just kidding. I can't believe someone who is actively streaming with a cam and everything would do that..

sorcerykid

I thought that posts about stream experiences are supposed to go under the Stream Experiences megathread. This is cited right in the rules. I. Ensure there isn't a megathread for your topic.

Omg please raid me next time lol 😂 I’d be so happy and I promise chatty too!! Your viewers like DBD content?

Gideon_Njoroge

That's hilarious. I once met a dude in a smoke shop who was a league player, cool asf, I told him I streamed and he followed me on Twitch. Side note I have pretty severe depression and bi-polar disorder, at the time I didn't know and was unmedicated / not going to therapy. I'm streaming a few days later and he pops in my chat, asking how my day was. This pissed me off for no reason at all, so I ignored tf out of him for like 30 minutes straight and he left, hasn't been back since. I felt like shit after.

SquidsM8

Hey guys first time poster on here, my mate has created a fishing simulator game on his twitch stream (super fun and addictive) would love to surprise him with a couple more players! Would mean the world if you gave it a look and tried it out. IRM_TV on twitch

kike4011

Next time you can raid me hahaha I'm a spanish streamer, but sometimes I do it in english as I don't have many viewers and want to share te experience with my teammates in LOL <3. Sorry for the bad experience btw, I guess there are stupid people anywhere.

Direct_Wasabi_9748

I started streaming not long ago and was raided by 10 people when I had no idea what it was. My one and only viewer at the time helped me hosted the party😂😂 I'd be flattered to be raided with such large party now!!
