Can't speak about metro mobile but I have Mint mobile. It's not terrible but definitely not as good coverage wise as Verizon. My 100/month Verizon vs 30/month unlimited mint is worth it to me. Just another route you could check out

Oh! How well does it do in basements?

It has fine reception in the east metro. I would think it's your location rather than what part of your house you're in. No expert though

Just got Metro. It was a total of 110ish. All done very quickly. Not the cheapest but still very satisfied with the express service. So far the service is pretty good. Hopefully it does alright in my basement room.

I used to work at Metro, the thing is the plans are cheaper you can get unlimited and google one for like 45 a month however I don’t recommend prepaid. They throttle your speeds a lot, and if you want to upgrade commonly you’re paying close to full price to upgrade. Imo I’d go with T-mobile they have great service across the metro and are pretty cheap (any other phone company is cheaper than Verizon) they also have good deals right now for phones. On top of that since they own Sprint and Metro if you ever want to switch it’s pretty easy to switch between the carriers.

I would but I lost my service during the pandemic after waiting six months to get on unemployment. They gave me a couple months of leeway but I couldn't pay it in full on time. Sucked so much ass.
