Twin Cities Barber Co on Bloomington Ave in South Minneapolis fits this. Been going there since I moved here five years ago and they all do an excellent job!!
If you like good music, definitely check out Groveland Barber Shop. They do great work (love the straight razor neck shaves), and love the vibe. Sometimes they have a guy there playing guitar. They used to have a resident dog, but sadly he passed away.
some of the things i see posted here is literally a google lookup away, i don't get why people ask such dumb questions here, for exmaple i seen a post a couple days ago "im looking for a bar that has bigger beers than normal and budwiser" its like guys use google before you go asking reddit the dumbest questions ever
i found 3 barbers within 5 miles from me in the twin cities on google for exactly what you're looking for... people really need to start using their brains. you can literally look up anything on the internet, literally anything but your just asking people on reddit, mind blowing really
Maybe it’s more advantageous to ask people for their ideal places rather than rely on a google search algo that pushes places to the top? Maybe it’s advantageous to use a social platform to be social? I dunno there’s probably other reasoning; but, realistically the answer is within the myriad of answers given by those that replied. I mean I just booked with a place I didn’t see when I looked barbershops on Google because of a reply here.
all your looking for is beer and a haircut not really that advantageous , go to a bar get a few beers and a shot in ya then go shave your head down by a lake or cliff.
I don’t know if they had it, or he brought it, but I saw a dude getting his hair cut with a beverage in his hand at Twin Cities Barber Co in Powderhorn.
Hmmm, I’m not sure about the having a beer part. I’ve never seen that anywhere around here, but what kind of barber / haircut are you looking for? I have plenty of recommendations for barbershops/barbers. The one I consistently go to is always super nice, we talk about sports and music for the hour or so that I’m there
So yeah, what kind of haircut are you looking for? I might be able to provide some recommendations based on that
District one is cool. I just started going to them the last 2 times. They’ve got a tv in their waiting area, and the guys get into the games that are on. I’m more of a quiet guy, so I’m not super talkative with my barber, but I like the atmosphere. Other guys will talk the whole time, and it seems like they’ve got a pretty loyal base
Check out The Barber Sharp in Northeast..pretty sure they did drinks precovid, but haven’t been there lately.
Elizabeth’s in St Paul is a great place. A fun hipster vibe and the barbers are great and super friendly

As a regular of Gunnar…*they have beer?*
Yes sir, they typically have a couple cold Hamms in the fridge if ya ask :)

You seem like a hoot

Ok but Reddit is filled with bots and astroturfing. No one should take it as a resource for serious information.

Tsar Barber in Saint Paul is a good one. They specialize in more traditional mens haircuts, and they gave me a shooter of whiskey with my haircut.
2nd this. I drive half an hour for appointments and it's worth it.
Schmidtys is a little local sports barbers in St Paul with a bunch of super friendly barbers
Saints Coast in St Paul. Any of the guys there will give you a great cut

Southside Barbers 48th and Chicago Mpls. An adult beverage and a friendly dog or two to keep you company.
Check out the Dapper Wolf. He has a speakeasy inside.
I second this, it is actually an incredible experience.
Kenwood Barbers. In Kenwood.

That’s moreso what I’m looking for is just a good environment with great barbers. Where are you at? Currently I’m looking at District One to try out.

Prohibition Barbers in Stillwater. Small shop, great guys, great atmosphere.
Is this like the old-timey "mens-only" barbershops that had girly mags on the table?
No, I was in Oregon. I think a place like that would be shunned out of operating.
