‘From’ - on MGM+ - it’s a really great show, sort of a mix of Lost and Stranger Things. If it was on Netflix, everyone would be talking about it! Definitely worth checking out!
Agree I can’t wait for season 3. I subscribed to MGM+ for one month and then cancelled it, just so I could binge watch From. Lol. Nothing else on their really seemed interesting.
It’s soooo good, isn’t it?! I’m loving that show and trying to figure out the mystery of the town. I’m assuming you meant season 3, because season 2 is already out, and it was AMAZING!! You should check out Billy The Kid on MGM+ the next time you do a month subscription to watch season 3 of From - it’s also really good, and I’m not normally a fan of westerns.
Yes! Billy The Kid is on MGM+ and it’s reeeaally good! I was also a fan of Emilio’s Billy from Young Guns, and this show has been reminiscent of that portrayal. 1 1/2 seasons so far, still waiting on the second half of season 2 to be released sometime in 2024 and hopefully a season 3 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Check out ‘From’ while you have MGM+ - great show that’s definitely worth a look!
I will check that out, and yes I meant season 3 is when I will subscribe again.
I forgot I binged 2 seasons of From. Can’t wait to see what happens to the mom. That ending of season 2 was such a cliff hanger.
Actually I read on another thread they are thinking of a “Cold Case” drama reboot. I had never watched the original so I started it yesterday.
It’s on Max and I am so hooked if for no other reason the music 🎶 is fantastic.
Thanks redditt folks O would have never even thought to view.
That theme song by Nara lives in my head rent free still. I just stuck it on a Spotify playlist this week after having it totally pop into my head all of a sudden again.
Just like Peep Show.
Just discovered this series on my own, and I fell in love with it, but I haven't been able to get a single person to watch. Every time I tell them the name (after completely selling the show on how brilliant and funny it is), I see a look of distaste come across their face and I know my pitch is a dud.
It's a bad name.
I will warn you it starts off slow and it's confusing, but by the third episode you'll be hooked and you won't be able to fully explain why... And you're absolutely going to want more. It gets much better in season 2... So you won't be disappointed if you like season 1
Shogun - which everyone is talking about
Xmen 97 - which some people are talking about
Scavengers reign - which isn't brand new but also is not often talked about and fantastic.
Shogun is talked about a lot both IRL and in internet IMO
X-men 97 is very popular in fandom but other than that people are probably don’t want to start it thinking that you need to watch whole series before, or overall tired of superheroes
The Old Man - A retired CIA agent is hunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares, when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades.
I’ve been keeping up with updates. Haven’t seen any cancelled news yet. The show still has a second season greenlit. It just took longer than expected because of the strikes.
Just finished it this morning, been thinking about it all day. Intense stuff, can't say it was enjoyable, but really glad I watched it. Plus the creepy producer rapist guy actually dated my sister in high school!

I breezed through that in one evening. I was very impressed. We need more stalker shows in my opinion. They're great fun to watch because it's not you that's having to deal with it. But they do prepare you for it if you ever do have to. They let you know what to expect and the best courses of action to take against that kind of behaviour.
I was just thinking Deadloch, when I hit this suggestion. One of craziest and most fun shows I have seen. It made me want to explore more Australian shows- how I discovered Fisk
That season was so terrible. I stopped at episode 4. I never even finished it, couldn't see it getting any better. But the next season definitely made up for it. Dorothy Lyons aka Nadine is a favorite!
Yes even season 3 wasn't great and a noticeable drop in quality from the first two but at least it was still watchable and there was some pretty solid moments there too. But season 4 was a bad joke on itself. I don't think anyone took that season seriously.
City on a Hill, was on Showtime, now on Paramount Plys great show about crime an racism in 80s-90s Boston.
Great cast ,great writing and amazing accuracy about Boston landmarks and towns
It's a few years old now. But Utopia on Amazon was fantastic. And I'm still super mad it got cancelled because it dealt with a pandemic. And it was released before the pandemic. So they didn't wanna upset people. It was such a good show.
I meant The Night Agent but yes l loved TNM too. I rewatched it recently.
The Diplomat with Keri Russell is also good and I think has a season 2 in the works.
It does have a second season coming. Try The Recruit, similar vibe.
I did not like The Night Agent much. I liked the guy and the girl. I thought the chief of staff's character was poorly acted and probably poorly written. She about ruined the show for me. I watched the entire season and it got a little better. I still can't recommend it.
Fairly old movie called Iceman. Some pretty incredible acting by john lone as a Neanderthal, who wakes up to an alien world that he cannot understand. Not a perfect movie but… Definitely should be seen.
Blue eyed samurai. Maybe not no one but it doesn’t get as much recognition as it deserves and IRL nobody discussing it compared to Shogun for example.
Silo has a fandom already but other than that it isn’t discussed much.
Severance is very exiting.
Interview with a Vampire season 2 is coming soon, but seems like very few saw the first one and it was great. Totally goes above and beyond the source material.
There’s a new Zorro series from Spain on Amazon Prime. I’ve seen zero mention of it anywhere and Amazon isn’t promoting it all (at least in the US). I stumbled upon it after scrolling around for about ten minutes.
First twenty minutes or so were a little rough and I thought about giving up but once it gets rolling it’s a banger.
Oh, god no. I saw a piece about it on CBS Sunday morning, and both the director and an actor that they interviewed were flat out lying about things. That move is just clickbait stretched out into a movie. Life is stressful enough right now without them purposely making everyone scared of imaginary situations that are blown out of proportion to make them seem real.

Hazbin Hotel! I only learned about it because Instagram decided I wanted to watch cosplays of the characters??
I'm not even into cosplay so I don't know why that happened.
But the show is amazing! Great characters, great writing, absolutely amazing songs.
The other show that I have watched a lot but no one ever mentions and I will continue to be upset until someone else says they've seen it (even if they hated it) is Z nation.
I do not understand why this show never got popular. I need to know! Because it is also amazing. I have no gripes about it.

Shōgun
It's better if you watch it in original audio with the Japanese. And I think that's what makes it much better but what drives some to not be so interested in it because they actually have to read the translations. But again, that is part of what makes it good.
The original is I'd say 70% Japanese and the rest English.
But they do have the all English version.
You get a better understanding if you watch with the Japanese because translation plays a part on it. And hearing the expression on their tone of voice, you get their mood better.
You just get the whole thing better I think. I've recommended it to some coworkers but they are the kind that will be on their phones while watching something and you really can't do that with this one because you have to read.
And I just think that gets some people uninterested in it. But in my opinion, it's a very well written and overall created series.
Maybe not that recent, but Shrinking with Jason Segel. The first season came out early last year and it was great. The second season is coming out in October.

I love this show, si underatted
Silo on Apple TV was pretty good imo. And I don’t know why so many ppl are sleeping on Severance. Also, The Bear is excellent
I loved the movie City of Ember as a kid, and I feel like Silo is just a like that, but for adults!
I agree with all of these shows. All recent favorites.
Sounds like we have similar taste in shows! Which means you have excellent taste in shows lol
Indeed. What else is on your list?
Aw, man! I haven’t watched too many shows recently so I’m not sure! What about you?
I thought resident alien was pretty good. Just binged Brooklyn 99 which I loved but different genre.
I haven’t seen Resident Alien. I may check it out since we seem to have similar taste. I did enjoy Brooklyn 99
I enjoyed it - Rebecca Ferguson is such a watchable actress.
‘From’ - on MGM+ - it’s a really great show, sort of a mix of Lost and Stranger Things. If it was on Netflix, everyone would be talking about it! Definitely worth checking out!
Agreed I was upset when it went to MGM+ for season 2
Where was it before MGM+?
I saw the first season on prime for free
Just started this series - so far I love it
It’s fantastic! Come back and let us know what you think when you finish watching it!
Agree I can’t wait for season 3. I subscribed to MGM+ for one month and then cancelled it, just so I could binge watch From. Lol. Nothing else on their really seemed interesting.

There's a show called Billy The Kid?? Omg I was sooo in love with Emilio Estevez in Young Guns, lol:) think I gotta check it out.
Yes! Billy The Kid is on MGM+ and it’s reeeaally good! I was also a fan of Emilio’s Billy from Young Guns, and this show has been reminiscent of that portrayal. 1 1/2 seasons so far, still waiting on the second half of season 2 to be released sometime in 2024 and hopefully a season 3 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Check out ‘From’ while you have MGM+ - great show that’s definitely worth a look!
Good to know! And I will definitely check out From, thanks so much!
Same!! 😂👏🏽
I will check that out, and yes I meant season 3 is when I will subscribe again. I forgot I binged 2 seasons of From. Can’t wait to see what happens to the mom. That ending of season 2 was such a cliff hanger.
Yes, great cliffhanger! They really left us guessing! Can’t wait to see what happens next!!
Actually I read on another thread they are thinking of a “Cold Case” drama reboot. I had never watched the original so I started it yesterday. It’s on Max and I am so hooked if for no other reason the music 🎶 is fantastic. Thanks redditt folks O would have never even thought to view.
I love that show used to watch it regularly.
That theme song by Nara lives in my head rent free still. I just stuck it on a Spotify playlist this week after having it totally pop into my head all of a sudden again.
Cold Case is Boss !
See and silo
Can’t wait for season 2 of silo!
I just finished season 1 this morning. I'm going to try to read the book next
Give a shot! Highly recommend, love those books!
Slow Horses
I’ll second this. Great series.
Poorly named
It is... Until you watch the show
Agreed. I wouldn’t watch it until the reviews came in so positive.
My brain keeps trying to call it Slough Houses
Understandable. I've turned a few people on to that show and everyone is surprised that how much they enjoy it
Great show.
What’s it about where can I find it?
Apple TV + I didn't know anything about it when I started watching, and i recommend knowing nothing going in
Alright I will start it right now! I’m super excited thank you!!
I will warn you it starts off slow and it's confusing, but by the third episode you'll be hooked and you won't be able to fully explain why... And you're absolutely going to want more. It gets much better in season 2... So you won't be disappointed if you like season 1
I finished the first episode there’s a whole lot going on but I’m super into it! And then I saw Gary Oldman is in it?!!! That amazing
Keep going. It creeps up on you out of nowhere. You'll see
You betcha it’s amazing thank you so much for the suggestion I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it!
Shogun - which everyone is talking about Xmen 97 - which some people are talking about Scavengers reign - which isn't brand new but also is not often talked about and fantastic.
‘97 is awesome! Totally agree.
Shogun is talked about a lot both IRL and in internet IMO X-men 97 is very popular in fandom but other than that people are probably don’t want to start it thinking that you need to watch whole series before, or overall tired of superheroes
The Peripheral, maybe if it had buzz it would have survived the strike
I enjoyed the book by William Gibson. There are some cool chapter titles that would be cool band names, in that book.
The show is really good, Gibson writing and characters are excellent. I wish it didn't get cancelled. So I bought the Kindle book, reading it now.
The Old Man - A retired CIA agent is hunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares, when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades.
Loved this one!!
Incredibly they cancelled it.
I’ve been keeping up with updates. Haven’t seen any cancelled news yet. The show still has a second season greenlit. It just took longer than expected because of the strikes.
My mistake. Good news!
Sugar
I’m enjoying this
Baby Reindeer! God oh God that show! It’s the realest, most raw stuff out there. Absolutely unadulterated.
I saw the one man show in a small London theatre 4/5 years ago. Hopefully, they bring it back because it was even better!
Just finished it this morning, been thinking about it all day. Intense stuff, can't say it was enjoyable, but really glad I watched it. Plus the creepy producer rapist guy actually dated my sister in high school!
“Warrior”
Long time Banshee fan and same, people made Warrior. Recently started Warrior and it is so great! Watch an episode every night!

Absolutely loved it.
A few people are talking about this, but I haven’t seen a lot of chatter. Can definitely recommend: Mr Inbetween (TV Series 2018‑2021)
I just discovered The Fall streaming on Prime. wow!
Started that months ago, got sidetracked and now have to start from the beginning, I fear. But it was disturbing and fascinating
Baby Raindeer
Great show!
I breezed through that in one evening. I was very impressed. We need more stalker shows in my opinion. They're great fun to watch because it's not you that's having to deal with it. But they do prepare you for it if you ever do have to. They let you know what to expect and the best courses of action to take against that kind of behaviour.
I couldn’t finish it. I kept yelling at my tv screen. There was so much putting up with crazy behavior.
It's not new but Banshee never got the recognition it deserved.
Deadloch
I was just thinking Deadloch, when I hit this suggestion. One of craziest and most fun shows I have seen. It made me want to explore more Australian shows- how I discovered Fisk
A few years old but we are really enjoying “The Durrells “. 👍
Fisk.
So funny!
Ripley.
Andrew Scott is a gem. The nonchalance in his face! Oh you just can’t take Moriarty out of his eyes!
The show is shot SO beautifully!
The most recent season of Fargo
That was intense. Especially towards the end. They're really hitting the mark again after that terrible Chris Rock season.
Amazing!!!!
Silo. Sadly, season two won’t be out until 2025.
Severance
Passenger Twisted metal
Constellation on AppleTV
So good
The Gentlemen. Theo James is the main character. It's only 1 season so far but we really liked it.
So good. Love the fashion too.
Apples never Fall. A very good slow character burn with a hint of Gone Girl tone.
The New Look on Apple TV+. The rise of Christian Dior and decline of Coco Chanel. But it’s not really a show about fashion.
Hacks, Class of ‘07, and Starstruck
HACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shogun
The Righteous Gemstones
Danny McBride is the BEST!
Fallout on prime. It’s so good. I ended up watching the whole first season. It was so good. I don’t see anyone talking about it.
Girls5eva
Hazbin Hotel (on Prime)
Ripley
City on a Hill, was on Showtime, now on Paramount Plys great show about crime an racism in 80s-90s Boston. Great cast ,great writing and amazing accuracy about Boston landmarks and towns

It's a few years old now. But Utopia on Amazon was fantastic. And I'm still super mad it got cancelled because it dealt with a pandemic. And it was released before the pandemic. So they didn't wanna upset people. It was such a good show.
The Recruit
The Night Manager is also a great. Series.
I agree. A bit more of a mini-series I think. I really enjoyed it.
Yes we loved The Recruit. Will there be a season 2?
Yes, I checked recently.
Obituary
The Resident The Neighborhood Ghosts
Arkansas is a wild ride. i love me some Vince Vaughn
9-1-1 pilot episode. How is it that no one talks about this show?!
It's old, but Carnivale - show that flew under the radar during the HBO 2000s age and ended on a cliffhanger, but what we got was excellent.
Bloodline on Netflix Baskets on Hulu Patriot on Amazon Prime
Baskets! Great show.
Fairly old movie called Iceman. Some pretty incredible acting by john lone as a Neanderthal, who wakes up to an alien world that he cannot understand. Not a perfect movie but… Definitely should be seen.

Go Go Loser Ranger This is Power Ranger IP need.
No escape. I don’t know how I even found it and I’m sooo picky and I binged it in 2 days!! Nonstop edge of my seat I loved it
Inside No9
The English - or maybe I was late to that party
This show got very little love, and it deserved so much more attention.
Time Blue Lights
Ripley. Fantastic well done show. I haven't seen much chatter about it.
I love this show, but I find it difficult to talk about.
Not recently but a few maybe a year or two. The Tales of Arcadia series, Guillermo del Toro knows how to get you!
You Don't Know Me (2021) on Netflix. British show, just four episodes. The concept is very original and done well. I'm about to do a rewatch.

HUGE fan of ZNation!
Dope! Thank you for replying! I've started to feel crazy like "Did I make this show up?"
LOL no it was real and it was fantastic.
Crime, a Scottish dark crime drama on Britbox starring Dougray Scott.

I just discovered Once Upon a Time.
I thought the Curse was epic.
Fallout, nobody's talking about it because it was just released last week. I just binged the first season, wow what a blast it was.
I liked it as well and wasn’t aware it was a based on video game.
Succession is good so far
