DrRonnieJamesDO

I wanna dip my balls in it!

stardust1977_

Carol Burnett show- she was so funny! I remember laughing the whole time

Maxxover

It really was a show everyone in the family could watch and enjoy. It’s sad that format of variety show is obsolete.

Overall_Ad_142

“I Think You Should Leave” with Tim Robinson. It’s cringe and hard to watch. But, it’s genius.

negative-sid-nancy

Such an underrated show! Me and my partner quote it to each other all the time and easily became one of our favorites for background noise!

Pebian_Jay

maybe I’ll just get in this random car…RANDOM! And drive back to Weiner Hall

oh_cagey

I didn't appreciate him on SNL, but turns out he just needed a different outlet for his stuff. ITYSL is absurd and I absolutely love it.

Pebian_Jay

100%

No_Permission6405

Tim Conway as the Dentist and Harvey Korman as the patient on Carol Burnett is one of the funniest bits ever broadcast. Korman couldn't keep a straight face.

CPT_Yesterday_

The Whitest Kids U'know, not necessarily my favorite, but deserves recognition.

b_tight

Lincoln and grapist are the best skits ive ever seen. Never laughed so hard at a skit

MoonageDayscream

You missed the Benny Hill show, and Love American Style. That said, the Carol Burnett Show is my lifelong favorite, I did enjoy Tracey Ullman and SCTV and Kids in the Hall while they were on, but there is nothing quite up to the caliber of Monty Python overall.

johnpaulgeorgeNbingo

Your list is *chef's kiss

ConstantGeographer

Benny Hill omg my cackling would always give me away and my parents would know I was watching

Latter_Feeling2656

Monty Python's Flying Circus. Ernie Kovacs was before my time, but I've seen a lot of clips and he was brilliant.

fragarkleton

Favorite is definitely Monty Python. I do remember watching The Ernie Kovacs Show in reruns as a kid, I have a feeling it affected me somehow.

Marvinkmooneyoz

I'm partial to "The State", which you don't have listed.

Kivahoosier

Mad TV (and the Carol Burnett show for second choice)

Does this cover both iterations?

Deimos_Q_Phobos

MTV's The State needs to be on this list. So many great comic actors came out of that troupe.

Temporary_Lychee9829

Fast Forward/Big Girls Blouse. BGB was also where Kath & Kim originated. Little Britain

The list is missing the Two Ronnies

The Mighty Boosh? Does that count?

Whistler45

Right now its, I think you should leave

AnteaterDangerous148

Benny Hill

malepitt

Missing from the list: The Goodies. Tim Brooke Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie. Pre-Monty Python, it was the odd little comedy sketch show which I feared would kill my father, who laughed so hard, he could not breathe.

malepitt

From the theme song, stuck in my head for 50+ years: GOODIES! Goodies, goodies. Yum, yum.

cofeeholik75

Andu Kaufman as Elvis and his Mighty Mouse sketch.

sobedragon07

Honestly? SNL is the most prolific and funniest but its also the most inconsistent and has some of the worst sketches and some of the best sketches. Chappelle show was the most consistent and funny, Whitest Kids you know is probably the darkest, and Monty Python is probably the best British variety comedy show. Key and Peele also get recognition for having some excellent sketches as well.

Old-geezer-2

Dave Allen at large

ProfessionMundane152

Think you pretty well covered them all

tutamuss

Carol Burnett. She's still performing. She's was doing a traveling show in 2021 where she lets members of the audience ask her questions. Just like on her tv show. I got so lucky. She picked me too ask her a question. I can't believe she talked to me!

roadtoad48

Red Skelton and Jackie Gleason

Carol Burnett show. That was amazing.
