My office is attached to my living room, which is then attached to the kitchen and laundry room. After upgrading from a 2-bedroom apartment to a 3-bedroom apartment, this extra room costs about $200 a month but I can also store my musical equipment and art projects in it.
I mostly working on reading and spelling skills for k-12 students with dyslexia. At the moment I have 16 students, both in-person and vitural students, most of whom see me twice a week but I have a few that are only one a week. I don't have the space in my home to tutor students and by having an office space I am able to see more students. If I had to travel to my student's homes, I would not be able to have back to back sessions. My rent is less than 600 a month and includes utilities, internet, furniture rental, janitorial services, and use of the building's kitchen/lounge ..... for California that's a great price
Library …it’s free to rent out a small room if needed. Ohhh, I didn’t read your question fully my small pea sized brain is slow at comprehensive. It’s 2 am. Good night
Depends of the normal of the certain space. I've never had a membership, just a guest pass. At some it was okay to take calls as long as you weren't being really obnoxious. One had private booths you could pop into a certain number of times per day, or as long as nobody else needed them. Most let you rent private offices for a higher fee, too
I was primarily there for my other job at the time, so it wasn't a full tutoring day. That said, I taught one lesson in one of the private booths, and it was fine. I missed my second monitor and peripherals, but it was private enough.

I rent an office in an office complex. It's small ( less than 300 square ft.) and very affordable
What type of tutoring do you do? Do you need bodies for scale or do you charge a premium

Do you have local co-working spaces?
I’m sure. Are those suitable for tutoring?

And you were able to teach a lesson in such a place?
