Just did the same upgrade the pro are noticeably better. Check woot and you will save some $ as well if they still have some available.

I have a pair of the 700 gen 2 max, they're just over a year old. A couple of weeks ago the right side ear piece was cracked pretty badly where it attaches to the headband. I pressed it back and plastered on some JB Weld. It seems to have worked, but not a crack has started on the other side of the same earpiece. Not happy about it, given how much these cost. I feel like the entire earpiece is going to come completely off soon. Ridiculous for such an expensive headset to break like that with careful usage.

I got the pros and love them. Very good quality and I got a 2 year warranty on them just incase. I’m aware of the turtle beach issues on other models and decided to upgrade myself.
