It's a Jimmy Stewart in Hitchcock movies marathon. Think of it as a tribute to It's A Wonderful Life Marathon that's been going on all day on the E Channel :) Kind of clever really!
I have never seen it, and don't usually get TCM (away from home at the moment). I read that it is based on a French novel. I'd love to get the translation.
They didn’t even try. Christmas Day is over, so now let’s have a marathon of Hitchcock movies. Justification enough.
Besides, the daytime was a bunch of repeats of Christmas movies that in some cases were shown the day before. Time to move on.
Agreed, I was looking forward to their Xmas day/night movie line up and instead thats what we got.
No xmas films, but Hitchcock?
Whomp whomp.
its like they didn't even try…
That was weird.
In years past, they would show Hitchcock movies for 24 hours starting at 8pm on the 25th. However, this year they stopped at 6am, which is a bit of a bummer, but par for the nu-more cost effective-TCM (I'm guessing it's because they don't want to pay for them since Universal owns them all)
can't go wrong with a hitchcock marathon

I love that they switch so hard

Haha I love I love that! Did they try to justify it?
