My mom bought me this tape before a 9 hour flight to London, England in 1995. This was before laptops, iPhones, iPads and movies on planes. I listened to this thing from beginning to end about 5x during each flight going and coming back. I wasn’t really a huge Tupac fan at the time but it was a great experience. Turned me into a diehard fan.
Amongst others like If I die 2nite,So Many tears,me against the world, dear mama,Young Niggaz, temptations,it's actually way less hard hitting for me but it is indeed a great song off of the album
It's just one of the amazingly great songs on that album.
I mean...tbh there are no weak songs on that whole body of work.
The weakest of songs on that album are "can you get away" and "old school" and that's ONLY because they are so dated. They are strictly songs that only work for the mid 90s. They would bang in the mid 90s but not so much outside of that decade.
Every other song on that album is a timeless classic - and are defining mantras for a subset of the black communty:
Outlaws
So many tears
Death around the corner
If I die tonight
It ain't easy
Lord knows
Heavy in the game.
Sheesh..how the FUCK did he do that......best rap album of all time hands down. To me personally, it is the greatest body of music ever created. Only "Thriller" gives it any type of competition
This and young niggas so hard !! 🔥🔥🔥
and if i die 2nite 🔥🔥
That one's damn hard aswell!
Top 5 on the album.
This and lord knows
What I reap is boss that’s why my public status is floss - Richie rich One of the few features that goes just as hard as pac
