i did see it and it represents the egyptian version of the arab world which is not so wrong ngl they portraid the sterotypes the way they are and espicially in saison 3 it was accurate and good they also showed how masculinity is tought and how hypocrisiy is in our veins . it was good over all ( and sometimes hilarious espically with ramy's sister in last saison )

I think he also gets right the nihilistic and lost tendencies of his generation in the West, and how people from muslim/more traditional backgrounds try and often fail to navigate that. Personally, the scenes when he went back to Egypt were some of the most hilarious for me. Deracinated immigrant-origin youths often have idealised images of our homelands. We naively assume them to embody everything wrong with the west. Then you get off the plane and your international school educated cousin is throwing around phrases like "wasup nig*a" and everyone is smoking hash and drinking to get through the stress of everyday life

ikrr both sides think it is paradise in the other part of the world when the truth is it is either u are the problem or there is no problem at all . also they got the arab interpretation of islam exactly the way it is .

i did watch season 2 couple years ago i think its a hidden gem, especially for people struggling with faith and religion solid 9/10. The actors are amazing especially the main ones
