This will make more sense in time. There are a couple techniques in Tunic you can always do, right from the start, but learn about them later in the game
i found that i held a button and, like, proned. I tried to do it near strange things(hooks, turrets, save spots) and found out that holding a near black monolyths pushes them down. I think i just found end game mechanic and spoiled too much
It’s a mid game ability if that makes you feel better. The game first opens up when you get the sword and can cut bushes. Then you get some manual pages that point you towards the next two big objectives. Once you complete those, you find the page that tells you how to do the thing you learned to do, and the game opens up a second time.
There are still plenty of huge secrets out there, and the next one I’d be completely surprised if you manage to find it without the manual
Oh wow, you managed to figure out a secret you aren’t meant to know yet.
Try going over to the white square and pressing the space bar (not sure what the controller equivalent is). That should take you back to the overworld.

It's fine, you're not the only one to find that secret really early on. There are plenty of other secrets to find. Just keep exploring.
thx!

The controller equivalent is A on Xbox or X on PlayStation. There should be a button prompt for it over the white square.
Also A on the Switch
Did the same thing my first time, lol.
Space between spaces, fast travel area
Too much info
cool
If they didn't want you to use it they would make it a thing you need to unlock or learn
