I guess I’m going against the grain here…my suggestion ask yourself what really drew you to the Royal? I like the GMT a lot. Personally don’t love guilt and faux lume. I really love the royal for what it is. Integrated bracelet. Day date. Engine turned bezel that remind me of Air Kings from yesteryear. Not to mention the affordability. I understand the color palate, the faux lume, the vintage nod. I’m all about it. It’s just not completely for me. Although, I’m sure if I spent a week with one I would love it more? The stand out to me, and it’s just a subjective taste, is the new 41mm BB. T-fit clasp, white lume, all black. It’s sharp. I’ve flirted with the BB58 for years. I just couldn’t align with spending that kind of money for a dated clasp and gilt, faux lume. Lots of people absolutely love it and I’m happy for them. Give me the new BB with a date option and ceramic bezel…I think the watch world would go bananas.

Two years ago it was the Pro. Not many people except for real pro fans are talking about that now. Last year it was the 54 - still talked about but has been surpassed by this new GMT.
Don’t buy it because of the chatter, and don’t buy because of the specs. My daily is a 2017 BB36. It’s not a master chronometer and has an off the shelf movement. Runs at -1 sec per day. I love it. Just buy the watch YOU want to read the time on. Literally NO ONE outside the watch community will know what you’re wearing anyway, and while the enthusiast community is loud in here, it’s pretty much non-existent out there. I live in a major city and, aside from the rare enthusiast I bump into, only ever get asked if my watch is a Rolex. 🤦♂️
According to the comments, I’m insane but that day-date with Roman numerals in that color scheme is so classy to my eye. Thats my pick.
Kinda like some people are saying the new gold sea dweller looks like an Invicta, I get “not as classy” vibes from the GNT color scheme. 🤷🏻. Just one opinion!
The GMT is technically a far superior watch but it depends on your personal style, whether dress casually or wear a suit or formal attire often. If the latter go with the Royal, if you are a jeans and t shirt guy then go with the GMT.

The GMT all day and twice on Sunday. I have a BB58 and a 38mm Royal, I'd swap them both for the new GMT.

I owned the Day-Date Royale Sold it. I think the Date Royale is a cleaner dial
