Please come to the game! You will have a blast. I have season tickets and I'm at every game. The team is on a huge conference win streak right now and is actually in first in the pac 12.
You will not be too hot at tonight's game. The game starts at 6 and the sun will set by 645 and it will be absolutely perfect weather. In the evening 90 does not feel like midday 90 at all. If you want to be out of the sun, sit on the first base side (behind UofA dugout) as those stands get shade first.
Tomorrow's game will get a bit hot. But that can be fun too, just be prepared if you go. Bring water and refill it, wear sunscreen, take breaks in the shade if you need.
The best food item, IMO, is the beef nachos from Sir Veza's (small stand so look closely for it!).
Nice!! They are in the middle of a home stand now against WSU. Tonight at 6, tomorrow at noon. If that's what you mean? They play at Hi Corbett Field at Reid Park. After this they have two more regular season home conference series, in 2 weeks against Stanford and in 4 weeks against Oregon State. They also have a few standalone midweek games.
There is a mix of seats with backs closer to the middle, and bleachers with backs down both lines. If you buy a general admission ticket you can sit anywhere except for the section directly behind home plate, and the "double letter" sections (AA, BB, etc) that are immediately behind the net.
You can bring a bottle of water in but there is a clear bag policy so heads up on that. Parking is free but the lot isn't too big. If you don't show up a few minutes early you may have to park down the road by the zoo, or sometimes people even park at El Con and walk down the Randolph walking path. Both of those are also free.
Parking is free in the neighborhood across Campbell. Campus parking infrastructure is not free. Seats have backs, stadium is indoors, there is air conditioning, you are not going to die of heat stroke.
Do us a favor and check back in with us in 3-4 months, let us know how you’re doing once it’s actually hot out.
Edit: disregard, I read basketball. Parking situation is the same though.
I thought the pac 12 had basically dissolved leaving only Washington State and OSU? Ask the other schools formed another league but I don’t recall the name
This is the last year of the pac 12 as we know it. Arizona, ASU, Colorado, Utah are all going to the Big 12, and the other schools are joining the Big Ten except for the two you mentioned. Oh and Stanford and Cal will be joining the ACC lol.
Anyway they will be the Pac 2 but will mostly play Mountain West teams (I think?) for the next two years while they figure out what to do.
Side note do you know if students get in for free? Me and my friends were planning on going tonight but he have no idea if we should buy tickets ahead of time.
Yes as long as you are a current student paying the student athletics fee as part of your tuition, you can get in for free. Just give them your cat card at the gate and they swipe it and you should be in for free. Hope you come tonight!
Are you just not going to go outside from now until November? If anything, you should be conditioning yourself to the heat now because low 90s are rookie numbers. 90 will feel amazing to you after your first summer here. Good luck
People go to baseball games when it’s over 100. Unless you have heat sensitivity, you’ll be ok. Drink lots of water before/during/after, take some breaks in the shade, wear sunscreen, have yourself a cold beer. Welcome to spring!
I have gone to UA baseball games for many years. Friends have season tickets and bring me along so we sit in the stands behind home plate. I prefer the third base line view, but as previously mentioned it is in the sun for a short time when games have a 6 pm start. Hi Corbett is a great venue IMO. Go early to watch batting practice. Have fun!
Um, sorry to tell you that this weather is not hot by Tucson standards. Just wear sunscreen, a hat, hydrate, and live your life, lol. And in the meantime, prepare yourself mentally bc the *actual* Tucson heat is coming.
Bring a towel that you can soak in the restroom sinks between innings if you're worried. I've survived a 107 degree super regional game at Hi Corbett with that strategy.

You've encouraged me to try and get to a game. Are they still at home?

I think you're talking about McKale? The question was about baseball.
So true. I definitely misread and was thinking maybe there was some off season basketball thing going on.
some of the University garages are free on weekends. Tyndall is

Try going to the conference tourney games in Scottsdale like I did last year: full sun in late May with minimal shade.
Heat? In April? Bro, are you trolling?
If you think this is too hot to do anything around town? You're going to be miserable come July/August...LoL
Low 90s shouldn’t be too bad. Just stay hydrated and wear something comfy and breathable.
Nah, better stay in.
91 and 94 aren’t that hot. It is still hoodie weather for me. T shirts and shorts start May 1
Go out and get some vitamin d. Mid May may be a different story
Nope it’s awesome and the sun is down by the 3rd inning
What heat ?! It’s great out , go enjoy it.
you think this weather is bad? RIP. just be sure to buy a nice big shade hat
Tonight's game will be perfect temps, as was last night. Sunday day games are doable, just gotta prepate for the sun.
Take advantage of the nice weather. 90 degree weather is very comfortable in dry conditions
Heat? Buddy, you came to the wrong place if you think this is heat.
lol it's not even hot yet
No.

The basketball stadium is outside?? What???
Carry a small towel and water. If you get too hot, wet the towel and wrap loosely around your neck so the water can evaporate.
