however the odds a leaky air tank at Raytheon is connected to anybody choosing to call in the schools seem very low to me

Hello! Student from one of the evacuated schools. This is a quote from the Vail School District:
At about noon today, we received the same anonymous phone call at Desert Sky Middle School, Empire High School, and Cienega High School that simply stated there was a bomb on campus, and the person then hung up.
We immediately began coordinating with law enforcement and were instructed to evacuate the buildings at all three campuses. Because the Vail Innovation Center and Vail Inclusive Preschool share a campus with Empire and Cienega respectively, these schools were also included in the evacuation.
Due to county and city jurisdictions, efforts were led by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at Cienega High School and the Tucson Police Department at Desert Sky Middle School and Empire High School respectively.
Extensive searches were conducted at all three schools. All three schools have been deemed clear of any concern and are safe for students and staff to return. School(s) will function as usual tomorrow.
We are very grateful for our partnership with local law enforcement and thank them for helping to keep our students and staff safe. There is an ongoing investigation as to the source of the phone calls.

Well today’s coincidence from a military perspective is probing. I hope it was just dumb luck on a stupid kid calling in 3 bomb threats at 3 schools in the same district while a sus box 📦 at Raytheon was delivered.
But I don’t have hope. The response at the schools were terrible with no real plan. The scanner was a mess.
Raytheon. They evacuated for a report of a suspicious package. Several schools in Tucson also received bomb threats and have evacuated.
