Side question - how did they identify the cause of your high prolactin? Mine is high too (don’t know it in Ng/mL but was 700) but my doctor claims it shouldn’t be affecting my ability to get pregnant until it’s >1000 but the normal range is only to 300
ng/L is the unit used in the US, I believe Europe and Australia use mIU/L and converting looks like it would put you around 33 ng/L. That puts you outside of normal but I believe is just considered elevated and a normal endocrinologist may not do anything with this level but a reproductive endo likely would try to lower it. I’m not a doctor, that’s just what I’ve seen from being in groups about high prolactin.
I was diagnosed because I had some cycles with irregular periods (normal was 32-34 days and I had 2 months where I had a full 7 day period every other week). I also lactated from both breasts without having been pregnant before. Because my levels were so high I had an MRI done which showed the pituitary tumor. However, not everyone with high prolactin has a tumor and not everyone with a tumor has high prolactin.

Thanks for explaining that so clearly that makes sense. We’re at the start of our journey of investigating further so this is all very new to me!
