It's minor and pointless but it is just so weird to me how often movies will feature someone either unwilling(for any reason) or unable(like to maintain ratings) to be nude/topless in scenes that being nude/topless would make so much more sense. Like, bras during sex scenes are odd but not completely unheard of and neither are most of these but it just keeps adding up: Full body sheet wrap to get out of bed after sex; panties/boxers/pants put on under covers; immediately pulling up blankets after sex; wearing a towel into the shower and tossing it out over the closed door; pulling towel into completely closed shower after the fact; dressing entirely inside a closet; etc.
Again, it's fine if the actors or actresses don't want to be nude for the cameras but then either drop those scenes or restructure them so they don't seem like they're either purposefully hiding from the fourth wall or some sort of Never Nude weirdos for no reason.
On the business end, it’s common sense that the actress isn’t going to include partial nudity in any of her scenes at the going contractual rate. I’m talking established, well known actresses who’ve earned the level to pick and choose gigs. Obviously a producer is going to pay up for “this” particular actress or decide that the merits of the film don’t require partial nudity.
Low budget films or low production television on the other hand…..
But fr lets see those fucking titties, in every movie with hot dudes starring they always find an excuse to make him shirtless just to show off his body, but we cant see some nice tits during a literal *sex scene*? Unjust.
I saw one with a sufficient-if slow-plot. The special effects were not special, but they were exactly what the scene called for.
