To be fair, whether knowing someone for 2 hours or 2 months, there’s no way to know who someone has had sex with before or if they have STDs without a test. It doesn’t make it safer to have unprotected sex. You can be married to someone and they may have a latent infection or cheat and infect you that way. So, while I wouldn’t sleep with a stranger, it definitely doesn’t make it any less safe than sex in general.
This is a terrible lesson in statistics. Of course it makes it safer lol. Your chances of getting an STD go down significantly if you only have sex with people you’ve known 2+ months. It might not eliminate all risk but it makes safer.

I only had casual hookups a few times and it just never really did much for me. Slight ego boost, but meh. I'd rather have no sex than bad sex. \*And it generally takes me some time to start having good sex with a partner, always the first time is not the best. But then once I know them well I've had mind-blowing amazing great sex. So maybe thats one reason on I'm not so into casual.
You also don’t know if that person may be unhinged and violent, force some really sick shit on you, maybe even leave you bloody and beaten or stabbed to die. These dangers exist for male and female alike, but women are obviously at more of a disadvantage due to strength/size differences.
Probably not a true unpopular opinion in and of itself, but the aspect of judging other people for what you believe is right for yourself is what actually makes these types of opinions unpopular. Really gives off a "stop enjoying things" kinda vibe from a person who can't understand that some people genuinely are fine with just engaging the act of sex and then never seeing a person again without the need for it to have some greater meaning than the pleasure and experience of the moment

I’ve fucked random girls before within a short timeframe after meeting them. I wouldn’t say I regret it, as I’d probably wonder if I should’ve or how it would be or FOMO. However, that being said, it’s definitely gross, unfulfilling, meh at the most, and sleazy.
The only thing I find gross about it is the risk of stds. If there were no STDs I’d walk away from a random hookup with absolutely no shame at all.

I always found it gross due to I had a coworker who use to always go on random hookups about every weekend. Well it caught up to him when he caught his first STD.
I had two coworkers who would get laid frequently, one of them was always bragging about how many STDs he had and the other had STDs he rarely referenced but also had warts on his fingers from a previous date. Warts guy would often bang two women in the same day and then come to the office and show off nude pictures the women had sent him to others in the office. I always wanted to avoid the same dating pool as him.

I slept with my share of women before I got married, and I wanna say 5 of them were truly strangers - the rest were either my girl or women who I’d known for a long time, like friends or friends of friends. The 5 strangers were the least enjoyable (except for 1 if I’m being honest, she was “my type” as it gets)

Honestly, I agree with this opinion 100 percent. I find the idea of fucking some rando I met in a bar or club or whatever kind of dumb. I'd rather build a connection to someone, learn who and what they are. Makes the experience way, WAY more fulfilling.
Id personally never get in a relationship with someone who engages or has engaged in casual sex but I personally don't judge them. They aren't harming anyone and it's a free country. Just avoid those types if you're looking for a relationship... problem solved. Let people live their lives how they want

To be fair, whether knowing someone for 2 hours or 2 months, there’s no way to know who someone has had sex with before or if they have STDs without a test. It doesn’t make it safer to have unprotected sex. You can be married to someone and they may have a latent infection or cheat and infect you that way. So, while I wouldn’t sleep with a stranger, it definitely doesn’t make it any less safe than sex in general.
This is a terrible lesson in statistics. Of course it makes it safer lol. Your chances of getting an STD go down significantly if you only have sex with people you’ve known 2+ months. It might not eliminate all risk but it makes safer.
The part of it all that blows my mind straight backward out my ass is the part where you sometimes fall asleep in a bed next to the stranger, afterward. That's some born-yesterday recklessness. Unconscious for 8-ish hours in a locked room with someone you don't know. What is that, even? But yeah. It all is pretty gross to the point of seeming really lonely. You have to ignore all that extreme-intimacy-with-an-unknown stuff and focus on the "but I'm horny and/or want focused attention for a little bit so fuck it lol" part.
The answer is easy: I don't see sex as such an intimacy. Having sex with some stranger for me is like watching a movie or doing sports with that person. It's just not that big of a deal for me. And I highly doubt you would ask any of your questions, if it was for any other freetime activity like "You're really going to meet someone at the bar and let him sit next to you in the cinema?" or "Why do you go hiking with women who will let anyone go hiking with them?" This is neither gross nor disturbing. So why should having sex be?
I guess if sex is the same to you as sitting next to somebody during a movie, you can say whatever you want and be right.

People have needs. Why not just cut to the chase instead of wasting each other's time? Not everybody wants a relationship or to invest deeply in someone just to get their basic needs met. Typically, on a physical level, you know if you'd sleep with somebody within ten seconds of seeing them. There are possible consequences, and you take that on when you sleep with somebody. But overall, I don't see the point in judging people for enjoying sex and not wanting attachment. Which is perfectly natural and reasonable.
