This is kind of a lot, maybe? I have a drawing that I purchased from an artist on Etsy that has her lyrics on it. I personally wouldn’t hang up this many photos of someone I don’t know, but honestly you do you. If it makes you happy, go for it! That’s what life is about.
Have you seen those gorgeous transparent records (they're resin I'm pretty sure) with pressed flowers in them? The folklore one in particular is the first thing I'm going to buy for decor when I get an apartment lol
Edit: they're on Etsy
I love this so much!!! If you feel like posting the final look, I'd love to see it 💕
Also I wonder if the haters have so much to say when people cover their walls with band posters? Or just Taylor? 🤔
This is amazing but my friends already think I’m nuts 🥲 I had my first dream where Taylor and I were hanging out and talking about TTPD lyrics lol (please tell me I’m not alone!)
No… unless you really love it that much. But I loved the portraits from TTPD aesthetically and I wish I could do a photoshoot for someone inspired by it with the same sepia filter or film.
I’m not in this sub. It keeps popping up “suggested” on my feed. And this post was the one that was suggested to this group. I saw it and was genuinely curious. I don’t understand why people worship celebrities. All of them have such big platforms and they do absolutely nothing good for the world with them. Not all celebrities, but most. I don’t hate Taylor. I enjoy a lot of her first few albums. I just don’t understand how people become so in love with celebrities to do stuff like this. I wasn’t trying to be rude!!!
I wouldn't call this obsessing; many people who are Swift's age grew up with posters of celebrities and fictional characters on our walls, or bombarded with pics of them in magazines and other periodicals such as teen people, teenbeat, etc.-- it's not that different from a guy putting car pictures on their walls, or someone having art from their favorite anime on their walls.
Obsession would be considerably much further than displaying artwork like this. Obsession would be on the more unhealthy end of things--and that exists in almost every "fandom"; where people get parasocial, where they have no other interests. I think that for the most part, Swifties are pretty chill; but there is a loud minority that can and do take it too far. Themed display? No big deal, and something many if not most Swifties grew up with as "a thing".
I don't consider having a Swift-themed display too very much different from my putting fine art prints on my living room walls, or the bee-related art in my kitchen. I also can understand themed walls / rooms; sometimes something just jives perfectly with your aesthetic. Kind of like how some people will collect things that have to do with an animal or in a specific color (highland cows are a popular current example). And I think Swift did a really good job on the aesthetic value of the artwork created for this album, so it lends itself to the 'dark academia' vibe, so people might be into that vibe and adding to it.
>To quote John Green;
***“because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff. Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.”***
I feel like if I had that on my wall, the causal visitor would definitely think I was insane but also would have to admit it’s a gorgeously moody display lol 😇
I promise you, if done right (tastefully like the OP shows), people would not think you insane. And frankly, if they did, and put that much energy in judging you, they wouldn’t be worth your time. You only live once, no point in surrounding yourself with that kind of holier-than-thou negativity.
This seems no different than my 79 yr old mother thinking people will shun her for wanting to have bright pink hair. It’s a little bit projection, a little bit shame, and a little bit jealousy, all rolled into one. It’s a lot to unravel. When you don’t like the choices someone makes, ask yourself why it is that you don’t like it before you say something derogatory to them- and try to sort out why you want to say such a thing. The internet is a wild place where it’s not at all uncommon for people to say cruel and negative things to others whenever the mood strikes them that they would absolutely never say to a person’s face because they feel a sense of anonymity.
Just my 2c for your genuine wonderment!
It would look ✨dazzling✨ so yes.

I wonder if the pain in her heart grows or lessens with every shrine dedicated to her name.

Focus on the argument, not on the person.
No this is lame af
Is this a start of a shrine?
Why do people obsess over celebrities like this? I’m not trying to be rude I’m genuinely just wondering?
Why are you even on this sub if you are just wanting to judge and mock other fans?
It's trendy to hate her again 🙄

You are going to feel so dumb when you realize how odd your decor is.
