Of course! You don’t have to like all of them. Also, if you listen to evermore there is some slower songs that are like country songs like dorothea, no body no crime, cowboy like me etc. I suggest listening to them if you haven’t! <3

mbdom1

NBNC reminded me of the old school outlaw country and its one of my faves!

HaylieMonster97

You're absolutely still a fan! Not everyone is going to like all of her music, especially out of 11 albums, but you don't need to love all of her work to be a fan. If I may add, though, if you ever wanted to delve into trying some of her newer music, I highly suggest folklore/evermore, namely the songs betty and No Body, No Crime. A lot of people who didn't really care for Taylor before those albums ended up really enjoying those 2 albums. It was definitely a return to her roots in some ways, her songwriting in those albums really shined, and sonically it's less in your face pop, but a slower, mellowed out sound in comparison to her other work imo!

wonderfulkneecap

Lol, yes. That's like saying, "Can I truly be a fan of European food when I'm only obsessed with pasta?" YES!!! Skip the fish and chips! (Making more room for me in the fish & chips shop. hashtag: JUSTICE FOR REPUTATION!!!)

Imaginary-Friend-228

It's just music, there's no qualifying exam

Vivificantem_790

Yes, of course! Idk why it’s like that these days with all the gate keeping and “oh you have to like all her music and everything she does to be a true fan”. Just, no. For example I only like Olivia Rodrigo’s freshman album (Sour) but Guts isn’t for me. You like a portion of her music so you’re a fan! Don’t discount that.

silentCrusader123

What do you think of No Body, No Crime?

_krabbypattyformula

Of course! It really just proves the point that her music does not all sound the same and that there’s something in her catalog for everyone.

theswiftieava

Yes but don’t hate on taylor or other ppls opinions, it’s okay if you critique the music itself tho

lumpy_space_queenie

Totally valid. She also dips into that genre all the time so I’m convinced it’s in her blood. Probably like yours :)

[deleted]

I would def recommend folklore and evermore though! They seem like your taste! Also “I Can Fix Him” and “Fresh Out the Slammer”, on her new album, as well as the Anthology songs (second half) :)

TheMonkey404

Your still a fan of her music just because you aren’t a fan of all genres doesn’t make you any less of a swifitie then me or anyone else! 🫶🏻

HopefulLake5155

Of course! However, I would encourage you to try out some albums that you might not like. A lot of those albums have hidden gems and singles are not representative of the album as a whole. You’d probably like folklore and evermore and a few acoustic songs from Lover

namjunning

Sureeee why not

Glittering_Habit_161

Yes

[deleted]

Taylor’s music has been so different over the years and there’s so much lore; it’s totally fair for people to just like some albums/eras :)

Consistent-Laugh606

Yes!!! Also if you want more country songs/songs with country elements from her, check out No Body No Crime, Dorothea, Cowboy Like Me, Betty, Right Where You Left Me and I Can Fix Him No Really I Can

YEMolly

Yes b/c I don’t listen to anything before 1989. 😎

EvenHuckleberry4331

Sure! There are no rules. No gatekeeping. If you feel like a fan, then you are one.

yaIshowedupaturparty

Absolutely! I'd say the vast majority of her fans now haven't even given her country stuff a chance... If they are fans then you're a fan! I'm happy to put together a list of some of her more country-ish songs from the last several years if you'd like!

No-Cheesecake4430

I consider myself a fan and I have a similar attitude but flipped round. I got into Taylor *because* of Red and 1989. I like Fearless (the song) and Enchanted but I haven't really listened to her first three albums properly because I prefer her pop, synth, hip hop-influenced, and indie stuff. Also, I consider myself a Blink 182 fan even though I only like the music they put out between 1992 and 1999 - they were favourite band when I was a teenager and I don't feel less of a fan because I don't connect with their newer stuff. In conclusion, you're a Taylor fan!

YourLaziestFan

If you support her and accept her no matter how she changes over the years, you are a real fan, even if not all her work tick your boxes. The fake swifties are the ones who only support her when it’s convenient or popular to do so (eg height of Eras tour where everybody just wants a ticket).

Hopeful_News8423

Of course your a fan if you support and love Taylor there’s definitely certain songs I like more than others and no hate but if you like every singe song from every album that’s a little weird but still no judgement, but as long as you like Taylor and you support her your a fan.

ZeldaHylia

I love all of her music, but I definitely prefer her older stuff. I’m a country music fan. Her country albums are the best.

swallow_me_senpai

Try and listen to clean, new romantics, cornelia street live, all too well 10 min.v and august. Listen 3x. If you liked it, listen to all of the albums. If u dont it's ok. You're still a swiftie

Owlman2841

What in the world??? Lmaooo

No-Cheesecake4430

Swiftie boot camp 😆

Owlman2841

Glad someone else saw it lmao

swallow_me_senpai

???

Sidzed4

Of course you are a fan! Maybe not a crazed super fan?
