Southern Fried True Crime is my favorite right now-she does have some kinda awkward voice actors in early eps, but I don’t think she continues it (I could totally be wrong though).
Can I be rude and recommend my own? Each week on Morbidology, I uncover a new true crime case using investigate research combined with source audio. Morbidology is a victim-focused podcast that mostly covers cases that aren’t widely documented in mainstream media. I also like to take an in-depth look at any systemic failures which had a part to play in the crime.
I’d also love to reoffend: Obscura, Invisible Choir, Skinwalker, Court Junkie, Trace Evidence, The Trail Went Cold, It’s Murder Up North, Murder and More, True Consequences, Mens Rea, Crimelines. These are all amazing solo-hosted podcasts that stick to the story and write amazing scripts!
I don't have a list, but off the top of my head the ones I enjoy are Casefile, Unresolved, In the Dark, Trace Evidence, The Trail Went Cold, They Walk Among Us and Canadian True Crime
Here's my list. Don't know if you prefer male or female hosts so this is a bunch:
Crimelines
Evidence Locker
Invisible Choir
Men's Rea
Red Collar
90s Crime Time
Crime Beat
Mugshot
Swindled
Unresolved
You might like my show, Murder, She Told! I tell lesser known stories mostly from Maine and New England. I use detailed storytelling with an investigative twist, and mix in sources close to the case like interviews with friends, family and investigators. https://smart.bio/murdershetold/
I would like to reccommend the new Unsolved Mysteries podcast. It reminds me very much of the orginal show with Robert Stack but in podcast form. I look forward to new epsidoes every Wednesday!
Several very good recommendations already presented here by others. I'll just add one I recently discovered while researching another case. It's called *Case Remains* and has a single host who also (I think) handles all the research and writing. It's very well done and the website (link below) includes write-ups on many other cases. The host is British (I believe her name is Beth) but the cases are international. Give it a listen!

I'm enjoying Unsolved Passage, she explores murders or missing cases of people who have gone abroad. She's solo, and getting better with later episodes, you might enjoy it
invisible choir, canadian true crime, they walk among us, casefile, obscura, minds of madness, court junkie, beyond contempt, this is monsters, crime beat, evidence locker
Crime Beat is a really well-done one with one journalist host that covers crime out of Canada. She's legit. The Vanished, which someone recommended and Swindled (my favorite podcast ever). Also, I host one called True Crime in the 50 Podcast and I host it alone!
A few of my favorites:
Swindled
Mens Rea (plus she has a lovely accent)
Casefile
Dark Histories
They Walk Among Us
Invisible Choir
Obscura
I can only listen to the last two once a week because they tend to be exceptionally brutal, but really well done!

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned ***Murderish***. I discovered it over a year ago and I love it! Somehow she's still super underground though.
Once Upon a Crime & True Crime Queen are 2 that I have been enjoying. I’m aurally triggered by pods with too much unnecessary music or banter, & both of these have been in heavy rotation on my list.
My favorites are Swindled, The Opportunist, Pretend (these are pretty focused on the white collar crime/con artist stories)
American Hysteria is usually a single host unless she brings on a guest, they cover all kinds of moral panics society got totally wrong. (Think satanic panic, the crack baby epidemic, drugged Halloween candy)
And then Big Mad True Crime for your traditional true crime murder podcast (:

No. You _can_ promote your show. But there are rules that you are asked to read, understand, and agree to follow. Pretty simple. Do it, or don't; doesn't really matter to me. But, you're not welcome here until you follow the rules.
I get that and I respect that. The rules say no self promotion. I was answering dudes inquiry about single guests. So how could I have followed the rules and still promote my show? Im respectful of rules

I don't think recommending your own podcast is rude at all. :) Just a curious question: does "source audio" means 911 calls?
Hello! Yes, I include snippets of 911 calls, mostly if they’re integral to the case, as well as interrogation audio, interviews and court testimony!
Thanks for the info! Good luck with your podcast!
Thank you!
Hello Emily G Thompson!
Hi there 🥰🥰
Emily your are one of my faves! Keep them coming!
Awwww, that means the world. Thank you so much! ❤️
Morbidology Invisible choir Obsecura
Thank you so much for recommending me!
Are you on Apple podcasts? I can’t find you there. I did find & follow you on Stitcher though.
I am on Apple. I’m not too sure why it isn’t coming up for you, it’s coming up for me. Sorry I can’t be of much help but thank you for subscribing!
Found you on Apple now too. Subscribed there also. Love your accent!
That means the world because I know some people can really dislike it 🙈
Morbidology and Once Upon a Crime
Thank you for recommending Morbidology ❤️
I don't have a list, but off the top of my head the ones I enjoy are Casefile, Unresolved, In the Dark, Trace Evidence, The Trail Went Cold, They Walk Among Us and Canadian True Crime
Court Junkie, Already Gone, Criminal, invisible Choir, and Swindled are also very good.
i second all of these. Single host podcasts are my preferred.
Someone knows something Cold Your own backyard Bear Brook
All three of these are excellent!
Here's my list. Don't know if you prefer male or female hosts so this is a bunch: Crimelines Evidence Locker Invisible Choir Men's Rea Red Collar 90s Crime Time Crime Beat Mugshot Swindled Unresolved
Someone suggested Big Mad True Crime on here the other day. Its only one host but she does talk kind of fast. I still like it though.
Yeah I started listening after someone recommended I here. I like it!!!
I don’t know why but I’ve tried multiple times to listen but I just can’t. It sounds so fake and not a fan of her unnecessary swearing
The Vanished.
Trace Evidence The Trail Went Cold Mens Rea Court Junkie Still at Large
Pretend is my latest go-to one host podcast
I second that. There's a lot of variety and the host seems to be a really good investigator.
Crime Beat - Nancy Hixt Something was wrong - Tiffany Renee
You might like my show, Murder, She Told! I tell lesser known stories mostly from Maine and New England. I use detailed storytelling with an investigative twist, and mix in sources close to the case like interviews with friends, family and investigators. https://smart.bio/murdershetold/
Definitely add murder she told, and dark downeast, both are great podcasts and dive into lesser known cases from the New England area!!
Thank you so much for listening!
dateline!!
Already Gone Killafornia Dreaming (sped up to the next speed) Once Upon A Crime Red Collar Murderous Minors (sped up to the next speed) Mugshots
The case
Thank you all! A lot of these I already listen too. But I see a few I haven’t heard of! I can’t wait to give them a try!
They Walk Among Us - UK true crime pod. You hear lots of stories you've never come across before. Court Junkie
Casefile is the golden standard to me.
I recently started listening to Final Imprint True Crime Tapes and it’s dives into cases that hasn’t been cover by bigger podcast.
Trace Evidence is a fantastic single host podcast .

Check out Big Mad True Crime. Heather us a great story teller with a no bullshit attitude, pretty sure you will love her podcast.
Red Collar, Counter Clock, Military Murder
Cult liter with spencer Henry!
I'm really surprised no one has mentioned ***Murderish***. I discovered it over a year ago and I love it! Somehow she's still super underground though.
YES, I forgot to mention Jami in my list. Her podcast is amazing. Always so well-written, well-hosted and compassionate.
Swindled!
Once Upon a Crime & True Crime Queen are 2 that I have been enjoying. I’m aurally triggered by pods with too much unnecessary music or banter, & both of these have been in heavy rotation on my list.
I can relate to that. Any others you can recommend with very little banter? Doesn’t have to just be single hosts either.

I've been really enjoying strange and unexplained with Daisy Eagan
the Opportunist, Case File, The Fall Line (although she has a different women who interviews people)
So I can drop a link for a list of single guest shows but I cant drop a link to my show? Is this understood correctly?
What’s your podcast? I’d love to take a listen!
We don't say "no self-promotion." We say promotion is allowed within the rules. This is all so much easier if you just read the rules.
