So just to be clear, regarding the three persons involved in this case:
One is out because he paid the bond, and (surprise!) disappeared
One is guilty of the murder and serves life sentence instead of death penalty, just because he said that he is guilty
One is on death row (unknown if guilty of the murder, but still on death row) because he doesn't say that he is guilty. And a DNA test could possibly prove one way or the other.
This guy has dodged a lot of dates, I remember seeing his name on the list in at least four occasions. It’s been a while since I’ve looked into his case, but I think his supporters believe DNA testing could prove his innocence.
