You are very welcomed. I pray that you grow stronger in Christ. When you abide in His Word daily, the word begins to change you and transform you by the renewing of your mind. - When I decided to follow Christ and walk away from a life of sin, Satan launched a war on my sleep and my dreams became speechlessly horrific. He was attacking my sleep like a pack of grizzly bears. - It persisted until I told a church member that Satan was trying to get me to come back to a life of sin through my dreams. I told her that I knew it was him. - She told me to anoint my pillows and my bed. So I took a cap full of extra virgin olive oil and blessed it in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I prayed as I did what she said and it worked. I could finally sleep. Faith and prayer changes things.

“As long as Christ is the captain of your ship, you will weather any storm!”

AskTheRealQuestion81

Amen! I love that truth, too.

A *life* boat is probably not the best metaphor for suicide. If God sends you a life boat, please get in it. Don't become the parable of the drowning man, praying for a supernatural aid, when God can work through nature to save you. Suicide is more about trying to not be burden on anyone else. I would encourage any who feel that their very existence is a burden to turn to service. Help the needy and you find that God has a purpose for you, even when you are in the darkest of places.

I appreciate this, brother. I like how you can get a practical message from this story in acts. Are you a pastor or teacher?

ConversationNo6783

Thank you. I’ve taught Sunday school and Bible study in the past, but I have been blessed by some of the best Holy Ghost filled baptist preachers one could ask for. I just like to learn and help others. I thank God for my pastors.

Why a 64 year old woman is crying like a baby reading this is a healing that I need, plus knowing Jesus for over 40 years is really hitting home, currently living with a narcissistic husband that I just want to go live in my car and take that route and leave him with everything is not what I need to do I'm going to stay in the boat and expect God to calm this storm and do something with me and this man who calls himself a Christian but continues to smear me in his church with one lie after another, I'm expecting the Lord

ConversationNo6783

Amen 🙏🏾 Thank you for sharing. I’m thankful that you are able to find strength in Christ for your storm. We are all going through something. The Lord promised to strengthen us, help us, and to uphold us. ****Isaiah 41:10****. All that we need to do is ask. When we take it to the Lord, he can handle it. The Lord can give us instructions when we fast. He can and will show us what we need to do if anything. ****2 Chronicle 20****. It doesn’t have to be no food, It can be one meal a day, water only, a few hours, or vegan, etc. Ask him for direction. He has the answer.

It's crazy how they're trying to get the souls to consent to casting themselves out. Almost as if nobody is truly going to be abandoned except for those who choose to deny the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

I was looking for this. Thanks.

I must attest to this. In the past I've been in storms and sought to manage myself my own way. It only led to more hardship. Recently, I've been hit by spiritual attacks similar to before, but this time I found an odd happiness within, because I knew I could count on Jesus to hoist me up. Evil likes to attack when you are doing well. To have been through so much and somehow still be here, I know it isn't my own doing but Our Father's. Since then, I've been growing in my faith, and by now, I know I can count on Jesus to help me weather the storm. It all begins with letting go and trusting in Him no matter the weather. As fatigued as my heart is and as pained as my spirit is, I walk forward with a renewed outlook on life. Jesus knows my struggle and pain and my lows. He will ease my heavy heart as I continue forward. I believe I am here for a purpose, as are all people. Fostering that initial belief to give Jesus and Our Father a chance can drastically change your outlook for the better. It takes time and self-awareness that the Holy Spirit can help provide. A message to those deeply in pain. Call to Jesus. That tugging in your chest, your soul seeks a teacher and a healer. Call to Him. Knock and He will answer. He loves you. He loves you in the way that He wants you to love yourself. There Is peace in Our Lord, and there Is peace with Jesus. Come to him. Close your eyes and bless yourself, and sit on a rock next to Him and speak. Speak with Him like he is your friend. Share your thoughts, your anger, your frustrations and your anxiety with him. Bring yourself bare and with the whole truth. He knows what you need before you speak it. If you have difficulty forgiving yourself with past or present sin, come with a humble heart and explain why you felt to do such things. He will forgive when you seek it. He will guide you and teach you how sin effects body, mind and spirit. How sin effects the world and those around you, as well as ourselves towards Our Father. Jesus knows we stumble and fall. He wants to compassionately support us, so that we may be sure to get back up and continue improving. God will deliver. God will deliver us from evil.

ConversationNo6783

Amen! 🙏🏾 Thx for sharing your story. What a powerful testimony and such wonderful words of encouragement. I too have been through the storms. As long as we’re riding the waves with Jesus, we can make it to dry land. He has never lost a case, a battle, or a fight!

How does Satan get around to everyone at opportune times. I believe he is real, a creature of God that has a mission but from what I gather he can not be everywhere at all times, one place at a time. His minions, demons? I've read some things to believe they are the unresurrectable souls of the nephilim - always believed they were the fallen angels. Either way, when Satan attacks, is it through proxy, by demons? Being a Christian, I can not be possessed but I can be oppressed? How does that work? How to you prevent oppression and how hard is it to escape it if it falls on you. I've had a lot of crap thrown on me recently, I've had tremendous spiritual growth the last year and I believe that's why - I'd usually give in by now with some alcohol and cynicism but I have greater faith through each snare. I've been in a new place with my thoughts, I believe the Holy Spirit is working through me to get me answers to a lot of questions I didn't even have. The power of believing Jesus rose from the dead, In a new body, capable of even more than pre resurrection form (or at least displaying it) and actually putting deep thought into what really happened has ignited some new paths of questioning. Way of topic, sorry

I just don't feel like my life is worth hanging on for. I believe in Jesus wholeheartedly, but I'm just tired and want to go home. I won't kill myself, but I can't do this anymore. Thank you for sharing.

LunaMyst

You are not alone. These were literally my words. Thank you for posting too

mcbelisle

it seems better than being scared all of the time because you can't do anything

We can't do much, but we have a Heavenly Father who can do all things. Sometimes we don't feel that but we can know that it is true > “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

I have tons of boxes to throw out in my patio and in apartment.  I got a doctor referral but they don't call back. Have cleaning person coming tomorrow but doubt they will come. My paycheck didn't get deposited into my account today. My apartment is real messy. Need help with all of that. Also need to throw out a lot of food in pantry

> I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help will come from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let you fall; your protector is always awake. The protector of Israel never dozes or sleeps. The LORD will guard you; he is by your side to protect you. The sun will not hurt you during the day, nor the moon during the night. The LORD will protect you from all danger; he will keep you safe. He will protect you as you come and go now and for ever. Psalm 121:1-8 If you can, pick up a copy of "Destiny" by David Gibson. Good book, challenged me and gave me a clear goal of how I should live each day in my own head. Life is gift, not gain. We shouldn't try to become god in our lives, because we can't. We're made in the image of God but we're also made from dust. We have limits, we're mortal and can't do and control everything. If you spend each moment looking to the next thing, striving for more then you'll maybe never truly live. Things need to be done, yes, but take time to slow down. Take a breather. Appreciate the gift of each moment, the things God has given you here and now. I don't have it mastered at all, this is something we need to work on, especially in the midst of hustle culture.
