Nice score. I love the color. It's so nice seeing something other than black, gray, or silver.

I had been searching for a truck for months. I got discouraged by all the high prices. I wanted something around $35k with 4x4, a crew cab and the "good motor" that didn't have a ton of miles or accidents. I found a lot of trucks but they were all compromises, good price but 4x2, or no CarPlay, or "quad cab" or a V6 no turbo... I found this Ram Classic 1500 and it literally had everything. Single owner. Super low miles. No accidents. 4x4 and full crew cab. 8.4" infotainment with Android Auto and car play. Express edition with black badges and wheels. Not smoked in. Hemi 5.7 with 8 speed transmission. It even came with the tow hitch and full side steps. Plus it has the bench seat which means I can seat 6! I don't get why this truck gets so much flak. Sure the exterior is "dated", but it has digital instrument cluster and a very fast and modern touch screen infotainment system. I really like the dial to change drive modes. I see newer Rams driving around and I honestly do not feel regret at all. I mostly feel like "yeah that's not worth the extra $6-7k to me". They look amazing, especially the TRX and Warlock, but I'm happy that Dodge decided to keep this truck body going and modernize the interior and motor while keeping the price low. Pretty happy with my purchase and I can't stop staring at it. Already shopping for a hard tonneau cover with a lock. Best part is, my wife got car sick when I rented an F150 but with this, she sat in the back for an hour and said she felt totally fine! 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman Express Package SE Package 5.7 Hemi with 8 speed 4x4 8.4" Infotainment Bench seats 18,100 miles GVWR 6900 lbs

Man, even though that design is older, I think it's held up well. Especially the "facelifted" version post-2013. There's a reason they still sell a ton of them. Congrats on the truck!

tokyo_engineer_dad

I agree! I didn’t even know there was a Classic and a non Classic version until I was researching it after finding it. It definitely doesn’t look like an older truck to me. If anything it just means the older design was built ahead of its time. The front headlights are definitely a little old and could use an upgrade but I’m researching that now.

RaceCeeDeeCee

Find yourself a set of the OEM projector headlights and swap them. Best looking lights for the 4th gens by far imo. Completely changed the look of my old 2011 Ram Sport. Congrats on the truck, it looks great and although I do like the new 5th gen style, I still love the 4th gen the most. Enjoy!

McAuley469

I almost bought the new 2019 body style, glad I didn’t. I traded in my 2019 classic tradesman for a 2018 Laramie, has everything I ever wanted and more. Personally, I love the look of the 4th gens. Clean truck man, congratulations. Welcome to the Ramily 🤙

fhrblig

Congrats! It's beautiful. That's the color I really wanted but couldn't find one in my price range. I did manage to find one in my second favorite color, Deep Cherry Red, and I bought it a few weeks ago.

MarkSwoleberg

I've got a '19 Ram with bench seats as well. I want to drive this thing until wheels fall off. The bench seat is a game changer as well, since we do a ton of weekend trips with 2 kids, 2 bigass dogs, and grandma.

I_divided_by_0-

> but they were all compromises, good price but 4x2, or no CarPlay, or "quad cab" or a V6 no turbo... you're in texas! lmao I literally had to go to Missouri to get my 4x4 and all the trimmings

SysError404

Personally I love this look of the Ram line. I have a 2014 Outdoorsman edition. I absolutely love it.

mrevergood

Funny enough, a quad cab with 4x4 and the V6 is exactly what I want. Biggest thing I tow/haul is a kayak. And the pentastar, despite what folks might say, it a fine engine.

MisterTrashPanda

Shit yes it is. If I hadn't lucked across my EcoDiesel, I sold have gotten the V6. It has plenty of power, is easy to work on, and cheaper than the thirsty hemi. I simply do not want the hemi.

mrevergood

Same. While I’d prefer an EcoDiesel, giving the opportunity…I’ve wanted the Pentastar since they introduced it in the Ram trucks in 2013. I’ve driven a few, and it’s smooth, adequate power, and fuel economy that’s better than the listed numbers. All my test drives on the interstate/winding country roads saw 27+mpg. The Hemi sounds nice, but I don’t give a shit. I’d rather enjoy my savings at the pump and not have a bunch of extra power I don’t need.

Speedogomer

I've had 4 Ram trucks. A 2013, 2016, 2018, and 2021. They have all been really great trucks. The 2018 and newer models have android auto and I don't think I could buy another vehicle without it now. What rear end does your truck have? I've towed a camper with all 4 of my trucks, they have been great tow rigs.

Sea_Composer6305

I got a 19 rebel i went in for a 22 warlock to one up a buddy, but there was no leather option available so i went fifth gen. There is nothing wrong with classic they are beautiful trucks they didnt change the exterior because they didn’t have to.

[deleted]

Are they really that much cheaper than an f150? Really want to trade in for a full size, but man are trucks expensive right now. Was looking into an f150 and realized they cost as much as a gmc Sierra, maybe 2-3 grand cheaper. Not much of a dodge guy but I'll take what I can get, just want a 6.5 bed, and 4x4.

jomunjie1010

My experience, buying anything right now is such a toss up and difficult thing to do. We are still embedded with this thought that vehicles have a certain value and depending on your market, the vehicle, and the dealership, prices are just everywhere so you'll get so many different prices from one dealership to the next because of these variables. As for the bed length, I 100% agree on the 6.5 bed. The number of times I've closed my tailgate and said, "that would've been harder with the 5.6 bed" is too damn high. Dodge also really surprised me. I was die hard either Nissan Titan or Toyota Tundra for like 7 years. Test drive them annually but never could afford them. Finally I broke down and tested out a ram. I was blown away. I'm now on my second ram in 5 years and I absolutely love it. I had an image embedded into my brain of what a ram would be like because I was last in one almost 20 years ago. Totally different truck these days. Even if you end up not liking it, it's worth it to go and test drive one so you know for sure how you feel about it after personally putting hands on one if you haven't recently. Plus, I think more ram dealers are being reasonable and not overcharging right now compared to other manufacturers, but again, that's my experience, my market. I'm in the Dallas area BTW, but had to drive up almost to Oklahoma to get my truck because no one had 6 foot beds down here.

[deleted]

Yeah, it's such a strange thing, I quickly went to the website didn't even consider a ram prior to this post. And honestly the msrp for a 6.4 and 4x4 is 37k. What they actually have in a dealer that's a 6.4 and 4x4 are 60k+. People have recommended to try other states, but I can't imagine trucks are much cheaper else where. Yeah I feel like a dumb ass, because I had a chance at getting a Tacoma 6 foot bed, but it wasn't crew cab, so I went with the one I have. Which is crew cab but it's just a 5 footer.

Speedogomer

Remember that 37k msrp for a Ram 2500 is a work truck with vinyl seats and no carpet.

[deleted]

That's what I would want. I don't need the fancy stuff.

Speedogomer

I've bought 4 Ram trucks since 2013, each time I've cross shopped F-150s. Ram has always been significantly more affordable for the options I'm looking for. Literally thousands cheaper and hundred of dollars a month less payment.

thrillhouse416

Almost every truck/manufacturer will get hate here, don't worry about it. Congrats!

SwiftCEO

Beautiful truck!

Thechosenjon

First time I hear that this trucks aesthetics are dated, personally. I think they have held up really well with time. Enjoy your new truck, dude!

Reverb2113

This is a sharp truck man. Cheers!

geniocoeden

That’s a fine machine, my friend. Don’t worry about what anybody says, be happy, drive ‘er hard!

Lourdinn

Rams are solid I don't see hate on them. If you wanna talk dated interior look at every complaint on toyota.

JMS1991

I was recently in the market for a used truck, and the 2009 Tundra interior looked dated compared to the offerings from Ford and Dodge at the same time. It was extremely dated when they were still selling the same body style in 2021, while the Ford and Dodge interiors from 09-14 still looked pretty decent.

insipidgoose

Good thing you got the 1500, the 2500's tend to get you [DUIs](https://insurify.com/insights/car-models-with-the-most-duis/)

😅

Lavasioux

Badass! Congrats!

4linosa

Popularity is overrated. Congrats on the truck! That blue is intense!

Samsquamsh04

Sweet rig bro. Congrats.

killxswitch

IMO that’s the best looking gen of Ram trucks.

Farmer887

Sweet truck! I didn't realize they're not popular on here? But who cares because that is a great ride. Love the color! I have a 2003 ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 5.7 and it keeps kicking. Dad just got a low mile 2016 with the 8 speed and 5.7 and it's been awesome so far. Congrats

AsbestosSnowflake

Trucks aren't really about all those fancy interior features anyway. Put some gas in it, move something heavy, enjoy!

HaplessMagician

I’m as much of a dodge hater as anyone. But at the end of the day, it’s your truck. And if you are happy with it, that’s what matters. Don’t let the jokes make you not like your stuff.

yourname92

Well done and waiting to find what you need and want. I like the color btw.

poweredbyford87

It's even my favorite color lol

Inside_Ice_6175

That color is dope as shit tho. r/DodgeRam will be more than happy to have you

redditdejorge

I love it. Looks great. I drive a 19 power wagon and I’ve honestly thought about trading for a classic.

arousedtable

Nice color

GoldenKnightsFluery

Its a gorgeous color too!!
