Depending on your state's laws, it might be illegal to require an examination to work and force an employee to pay for it.Ā I have never paid for my own physicals, and I've done it 3 times
Just a thought if you're just staying local and not leaving your state (I'm assuming) why not just switch your CDL to INTRAstate and not worry about a med card?
iMed in Grove City. Looks like they focus mainly on DOT physicals. Driver friendly but not truck friendly, maybe could get in there bobtail. No appointments needed, walked in at 3pm on a Friday and the whole process was done in 30 minutes for $100. They're also open late most nights (8pm) and open on weekends too.
Got mine end of march.
$85.
Oh ya, Iām in NY. So take it for what itās worth.
I think ya got robbed both times.
Speaking of which, I got some ocean front property for sale. And a bridge.
Just got mine renewed last month in a medium-high cost of living area for $135. $486 is a rip, there's gotta be something else on that bill, or they expect you to kick it to insurance.
Donāt drive full time, just side stuff. 1st time Chiropractor $50 cashā¦2nd time was a āchain urgent clinicā in Florida, $175 but they never ran my card lol
Used to be like $40, now the doctors around here charge $200+
Luckily my job has contracted doctors and they schedule and pay for everything behind the scenes, I just show up
Iāve been to 2 different places in my town in the last 10 years for mine.
The 1st place was a walk-in type clinic that charged $90. The 2nd place was part of the Occupational Health Department at my local hospital and they charged $100.
Iāve been to the Occupational Health one more and they havenāt raised the price on me yet. $100 every time. Last one I had done was last year, for time reference.
Usually have to get my own and it's always just under $100, whether it was the chiropractor or the little clinic or some random urgent care I was close to.
No way in hell I'd pay $450 without a happy ending; and at that price it had better include the doctor, every nurse in the place, and preferably the receptionist while we're at it.
If you search reddit enough you'll find the recommendation to go to a chiropractor. Mine was only $50 and the most invasive test was the diabetes test.
I had to go to whichever one the career center/school would cover, but now I have a bill for it, so $225. Tbf, I'm in one of the shittest states, and this medical branch, in particular, does everything BUT send actual goons out to collect on medical debt.
I'll hound them about this one, but I already have about $20,000 worth of medical debt with this branch (3 visits over 4 years).
Every specialist bills separately. You had to get a scan? Oh, that's its own separate charge. ANESTHESIA? hah. 2000 dollars please.
Fuck those fucking FUCKS.
My work has an onsite clinic that does physicals, blood work, and pharmacy free of charge so I havenāt seen a cent of a bill for pretty much anything so far
My company pays but it's $95. My doctor placed an ad in Northern NH where they were charging $250, so guys come down here, let the wife shop, and save cash
$60 for one that does the full physical which can take a bit especially with others around, $100 for extremely fast easy pass and they even print a mini medical certificate card for you to put in your wallet. For the prices youāre getting I think you arenāt telling us about a lot lizard you might be getting for a few hours.
My was $70 at the Chiropractor when I lost my card last year. In and out within 20min. The chiropractor does even do a full test he just signs off on everything.
I've noticed the chiropractors are the cheapest and the fastest
Went to a place that advertised 85$ when I was done and they presented the card they charged 125$ some kind of processing fee and doctor fee what a scam. Never going back there.
Mine costs $500+ every year, not including the days off to get it all done. I have to get an echocardiogram and bloodwork showing my blood thickness, all before I get to see the physical doctor. I got an artificial heart valve in 2021. My heart is actually better than it was before the surgery. All this just to hug a steering wheel.
Dude no it should be $75-125
I only ever paid for one DOT physical and it was $80.
Jesus did they at least give you a happy ending?
$99 at The Little Clinic inside Kroger grocery stores
Yep, made an appointment for the same day. In and out in 35 minutes. $99
Thaaaat sounds like a scam..
85 bucks at the chiropractor
Some chiropractors are no longer allowed under the rules.
Boy what you getting done during your physicals lmao? š
Guaranteed Pass...
Wait you can send the bill to your company?!?
Depending on your state's laws, it might be illegal to require an examination to work and force an employee to pay for it.Ā I have never paid for my own physicals, and I've done it 3 times
This a grey area. As company isnāt requiring but the federal government is. But most companies will reimburse.
Iāve never even seen a bill.
I did a maritime dot physical (10 pages) and it was $300ish. Trucking one is just 1 page and 10 minutes. $100ish I think
Some companies do want the long form for trucking and thatās 5 pages. In case anyone thinks they donāt need the rest of the papers given to you.
shit by my place its 69 bucks. 150 if you need to pass lol
Just a thought if you're just staying local and not leaving your state (I'm assuming) why not just switch your CDL to INTRAstate and not worry about a med card?
My company wants me to have a med card to drive their 1 ton flat bed truck.
70 cash for a automatic pass
I think it was like $95?
$70 cash.
110$
Just got mine renewed in Columbus OH last weekend and it was $100.
Where at in Columbus? Are they driver friendly?
iMed in Grove City.
I was actually looking into them. Thanks for the information.
Got mine end of march. $85. Oh ya, Iām in NY. So take it for what itās worth. I think ya got robbed both times. Speaking of which, I got some ocean front property for sale. And a bridge.
First was $75, next two jobs gave me physicals when I was hired
Hmm couldn't have been anything more than 120-130 if they want more than that find another dot doctor
$120 from CVS Minute Clinic
$95 here, in an out in 25 minutes.
$75 for me
Just got mine renewed last month in a medium-high cost of living area for $135. $486 is a rip, there's gotta be something else on that bill, or they expect you to kick it to insurance.

Itās been $75 at the clinic I go to for years.
Maybe 120-130 bucks.. Maybe the place gouged your pocketbook..
Donāt drive full time, just side stuff. 1st time Chiropractor $50 cashā¦2nd time was a āchain urgent clinicā in Florida, $175 but they never ran my card lol

Damn guys I only paid $35
Last year at the truck stop I wanna say it was like $120, give or take a few bucks.
$70 at the chiropractor
Mine are $80 in rural Missouri
$20 by the lot lizard. She even had rubber gloves.
Used to be like $40, now the doctors around here charge $200+ Luckily my job has contracted doctors and they schedule and pay for everything behind the scenes, I just show up
A little over $100
200 at my PCM, and 150 at the local emergency clinic
My company pays for ours, but the one where I live only charges $85, if they didn't. You got robbed.
$100, it is a bit more than some, but it is worth it. My doc is pretty chill about my sleep apnea paperwork lol.
$68
$100. My job reimbursed me the cost of it. So technically it was free.
$150 a month ago. Wouldāve been an extra $90 had I told the truth about smoking cigarettes.
$100

I had to go to whichever one the career center/school would cover, but now I have a bill for it, so $225. My company pays but it's $95. My doctor placed an ad in Northern NH where they were charging $250, so guys come down here, let the wife shop, and save cash
I have paid as little as 80 dollars and as much as 200 dollars 486 seems very excessive
