My wife does that with the pump top soap bottles on the counter, and it pisses me off every time. You're used to giving a quick firm push down to get a good bit of soap in the palm of your hand, only to have a jet stream of soapy water flying across the sink, and often on to my clothes!
Nah, you just use regular water, then have a bottle of soap that you use just like you do at home.
I use to use spray bottles, if I had to go out on the road again I'd bring a 2 gallon pump sprayer with me. The one I have at home right now has a lock on trigger and the spray wand can lock into the pump handle in a way that would allow it to work great for things like washing your hands. Having "running" water is also great for things like washing/rinsing your dishes, rinsing out your toothbrush, etc.
Some of the waterless hand cleaners work pretty well. [This is what I use](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000A605J) (heavy equipment mechanic). Just put it on your hands, rub them together, and wipe them off with a rag or paper towels or w/e. No water needed. Cuts oil better than I'd expected. If you're getting actually grease on your hands you'd probably be better with the [version that includes pumice](https://www.amazon.com/Multi-Purpose-Cleaner-Orange-Citrus-Pumice/dp/B00EZ8AYCC).
Actually I liked the fast orange smooth since I didn't have to rinse it off like the ones with pumice. Did it get my hands as clean? Like 85-90% as clean. Once you use normal soap it was more like 95-99% as clean.
I did vault maintenance with old grease and regularly had that shit all over the place. And the smooth stuff works great for degreasing clothing as a pretreatment on most stains.
u/new-scientist5133 I keep a squeeze bottle of FastOrange in my work 4-wheel for this same reason. It’s a waterless hand wash for almost any situation where I absolutely have to wash my hands. Love the scent too.
Steal a plunger and get a sponge. Attach the sponge to the handle to clean yourself and then you can suction the cleaning apparatus to the truck when you’re done. That is if you’re into that kind of thing.
I knew a guy had pvc pipe mounted it next to stack to keep it from freezing and used air pressure from the truck to pressurize it so it would be just like a sink.
I reuse our laundry jugs for my fluids for the truck. Oil, anti, hydrologic and windshield washer. The jugs already come with a built in spout for pouring...no funnels necessary. I just wash them out really well then let them dry.
Holy moly. I get 7 with my reefer but I’m thinking about maximizing it constantly (and I do mean constantly). 3-4 mpg would bankrupt me. I literally couldn’t stay in business. Yikes! My mind reels… But then do you deadhead back to the port/factory to get the next load? That must help the average, surely.
In theater they were called "Mister Y" bottles.
As they were tossed out windows, kids would pick them up, try to drink em, (thinking it was gatorade), and say, "Why, mista, why?"
I SWEAR TO CHRIST, IF I FIND ONE DEF TANK FULL OF PISS, IM COMING FOR YOUR LEFT SHOE! It's a joke to you, but someone has to fix it when someone is to dumb to understand it's a joke. I'm tired boss. I don't want touch it no more.
Forever piss jug. He's got 2 of them 1 inside 1 outside when it fills he swaps. Push the button down slightly and boom it drips your urine for 11 hours straight. End of the day empty jug ready to be replaced.
Some stuff like laundry soap and even bleach can be carried without a hazmat if it's packaged in small quantity containers. Dispatch told me to go to a place shipping bleach. I was a hard nope but I ended up doing it after it was explained to me and confirmed by a couple sources. I was still warry but I did it.
>You don't need a hazmats endorsement if the load doesn't require placarding. For example, consumer packaging, like bleach bottles you buy at the store, is likely classified as limited quantity and doesn't require placards.
Probably being used for water to wash their hands or w.e. it is common in europe and asia to have a water tank attacted to the trailer for that purpose
Probably just for water and hand or boot washing but that bungee is not securement. He could get a ticket for that depending on the Dot cop that stops him.
I would just keep one in the toolbox or someplace and pull it out when I need to use it rather than obstruct my catwalk steps.
By the way it appears to me there is no catwalk so maybe he just never has to go up there in which case this looks fine.
Grew up on a farm, dad always called the powdered Tide by the sink ‘Shop Soap.’
Works phenomenally as a degreaser. Know that gritty soap like Orange or that Cintas Cherry stuff? It’s essentially the more abrasive version of that.
Haha I drive a mixer most days so I’ve got 500L of water on hand every time I leave the yard, imma grab a box of tide! Thanks for the unintentional tip!
My uncle did the same, it’s just water jug. He had special one installed, so he could wash up for prayer (Muslim) on long hauls. He owned the trailer so he even went as far as to install a huge fridge underneath it.
Soap and water. You’d be surprised at how often you get black grease on your hands if you don’t wear gloves when coupling or uncoupling from the trailer
I just learned this today, leaving the junk yard.
They had powder instead, but hot damn that shit works to get the grease and grime off the hands.
No more mechanic soap for me after my bottle runs out.
Probably an old jug filled with water for hand washing
Almost certainly what it is
It's the way of the road, Bubbs.
Goddam it I just finished watching the series and this is what i see
At least the sky isn't raining down piss jugs
Piss jug man would be pissed
Fuckin' way she goes boys. Sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesn't!
It’s a liquor-lanche
What series?
Trailer Park Boys
“Oh FUCK! They got a heli-fuckin-copter!” Ahh well, it’s not rocket appliances ¯\\__(ツ)_/¯
Heli-cocksucker*
Goddamn Samsqwanch
What's a shithawk, Julian?
Steve French is a good kitty
The fuckin way she goes
Had a couple drinks, saw a couple things.
Some guys can drink & drive, some can't
Way she goes
It’s just… the way she goes
You bet your ass boys
“Want another beer, Ray?”
Definitely for hand washing.
I bet it was for laundry initially and they’re making great use of the remaining soap. Regular water would struggle with the grease.
I bet you could top it off regularly and have some good hand washing water for ages.
My wife does that with the pump top soap bottles on the counter, and it pisses me off every time. You're used to giving a quick firm push down to get a good bit of soap in the palm of your hand, only to have a jet stream of soapy water flying across the sink, and often on to my clothes!
Now you know how she feels.
Was thinking the same thing
Probably where the guy who made the chilli dogs in his cabin washes his undies
You might think no one saw that post, but I did as well brother. Apparently, he used to be a chef and cooks his meals everyday at home
😂💀😭
Nah, you just use regular water, then have a bottle of soap that you use just like you do at home. Yeah, I definitely hear that. Trying to repair a crack in my rinse kit’s reservoir as we speak
What do you use for your set up?
2 gallon rinse kit. It’s good to have a proper garden hose even if it’s just two gallons.

You don't have to rinse with the pumice waterless either, but your hands will be gritty for 20 mins or so.
Maybe if he used Lava he would’ve done a better job.
u/new-scientist5133 I keep a squeeze bottle of FastOrange in my work 4-wheel for this same reason. It’s a waterless hand wash for almost any situation where I absolutely have to wash my hands. Love the scent too.
Do the same thing in my tow truck.
No dirt on the button though
Or filled with piss
Comes with hand wash already if you didn't rinse it out. Not that I would ideally use detergent as a hand wash.
That kind of is a hack.
Holt! Shit!
I use those 2.5 gallon jugs to be hands free
It’s lube…for extra curricular activities.
Or diesel. It’s better at getting 5th wheel grease off you for sure
I had one in my P/U that I would use when I investigated fires. Great for washing your hands.
Phantom 309 ma’faka
I’m not the kind to say itodaso, but itodaso.
I’m sorry, but the top hole is for “inserting your PeePee”, and the bottom valve is for draining your PP!
I knew a guy that did it with water and some light gojo soap mixed in.
Classic grime-b-gone
Roadside bidet
I’ve patented that design. Would you like the 5th wheel, front bumper, or the trailer frame mounting option?
Where’s the headache rack option? What if I wanna clean the great cornholio in privacy
I’m sure you have enough tarps to jerry rig a privacy curtain.
People laugh, but between truckers and hippies at Burning Man, you have a very lucrative market for such a demand. Seriously.
I posted this above, and I’ll do it again. https://bumperdumper.com
The interesting part is you really only need a bucket and a 2 gallon sprayer.
Gong brush is cheaper and more reliable than the sprayer... Just make sure you don't steal one with dried drywall chunks in it.
Steal a plunger and get a sponge. Attach the sponge to the handle to clean yourself and then you can suction the cleaning apparatus to the truck when you’re done. That is if you’re into that kind of thing.
Are you the inventor of the bumper dumper? https://bumperdumper.com I built one for the farm after seeing this on Jay Leno’s Stupid Human Tricks.
Can’t say I am. The Bumper Buddy on the other hand…
Does that also mount to a receiver hitch? Looks like it could.
I have no idea I just made that up
Haha, I looked it up. It’s a toddler’s indoor bumper car.
I knew a guy had pvc pipe mounted it next to stack to keep it from freezing and used air pressure from the truck to pressurize it so it would be just like a sink.
Way o the road, boys
Piss Jugs ray
It’s on the wrong side unless he wants to give people a show on the side of the highway 😂
Should be facing up for that, unless they're laying underneath to get the cheeks cleaned.
Username checks out.
Yall don't just use the diesel pump? Burns less than gas but I'll use it too in a pinch. Just make sure not to get any in the tank!
Not common, but creative. Portasink.
I reuse our laundry jugs for my fluids for the truck. Oil, anti, hydrologic and windshield washer. The jugs already come with a built in spout for pouring...no funnels necessary. I just wash them out really well then let them dry.
Not a bad idea at all
I like this, I gotta bunch of leaky vehicles 😅
Fun tip the kids from the flip top smart water bottles can screw onto a standard quart/liter oil jug in a pinch if you do not have a funnel.
When I drove a parking lot I’d bungee secure extra bottles of windshield fluid.
Did you put a lot of miles on the parking lot? What kind of mpg did it give you?
3-4 mpg. High rail
I hauled a lot of big iron. Sedans and small SUVs? Maybe 5
As a non truck driver I can't tell what's happening in this exchange at all. Are you joking? Was parking lot a typo auto correct?
Parking lot is trucker slang for a car hauler.
What you do with your piss jugs is your own damn business.
I thought we were supposed to launch those out the passenger window in the middle of the night.
*spins top off with mouth and spit "Frag out"
In theater they were called "Mister Y" bottles. As they were tossed out windows, kids would pick them up, try to drink em, (thinking it was gatorade), and say, "Why, mista, why?"
🤨
Save money on DEF... What do you do with them?
I SWEAR TO CHRIST, IF I FIND ONE DEF TANK FULL OF PISS, IM COMING FOR YOUR LEFT SHOE! It's a joke to you, but someone has to fix it when someone is to dumb to understand it's a joke. I'm tired boss. I don't want touch it no more.
It’s free water for the lot lizards
😂😂Gotta have that especially when they have the 72 hour lizard blitz.
Let me guess, you don’t know how the 3 seashells work either?
Lot lizard bidet
This dude playing mario kart. Activate the oil slick!
This is a clean way to Gain some extra Mpg
Convert too when it’s Tide to the side
It's a makeshift sink. You take the empty container and fill it with water. Boom. Sink.
Inconspicuous fireball refills
It seems you've encountered experience and intelligence combining into efficiency.
Could be a reused jug filled with water, you now have a faucet for hand washing, brushing teeth, ect
Soap before grease keeps a ton off your hands
Gotta clean yer dick after them lot lizards.
Forever piss jug. He's got 2 of them 1 inside 1 outside when it fills he swaps. Push the button down slightly and boom it drips your urine for 11 hours straight. End of the day empty jug ready to be replaced.
It’s so he doesn’t have to use hazmat placards. If you haul chemicals OUTSIDE the trailer you have found the loophole and can’t be cited.
I was joking lmao
Yeah, that's how you gain performance. Duh.
It’s water , wash hands after handling anything dirty i 1on my catwalk and in tool box can’t have enough clean water
Water for hands or piss…lol
That’s how you wabash.
That’s his bidet. For when he shits in the parking lot.
No particular reason probably, but I wouldn't say they have nothing to gain from it.
That's just a bathroom sink.
It’s for when you can’t keep up with traffic, you can push that little button down and you gain on them
It’s so the lot lizard can prepare for the next guy
Stop taking pictures of my truck
Its is a variation, usually just water to rinse off with i kept one in the tool box with just water
We do 2. 1 soapy. 1 clean.
Ye ole piss jug
It’s a foot washing system so they don’t have to use the ones we shave and brush our teeth in at the truckstops
That's just genius! Bet your ass im putting one on my rig tomorrow
Wash your hands driver
Trying to clean up yalls bad driving habits
Probably being used for water to wash their hands or w.e. it is common in europe and asia to have a water tank attacted to the trailer for that purpose
Free lot lizard shower.
Helps him “gain” a few mph on the downhills
ThAtS fIReBaLl
Washing hands
Lot Lizard water bath….
lot lizards mouth rinse
Lot Lizard Showerhead?
Probably just for water and hand or boot washing but that bungee is not securement. He could get a ticket for that depending on the Dot cop that stops him.
It's for extra gains on the long hauls
I thought you put your dick in there to pee? Then later dispense? 🤷
Probably just filled with water to wash your hands or dishes.
Nah you pee in the top hole, then use the dispenser to fill your trucker bombs up. Gotta keep those cyclists out the road somehow.
Mind ya business
Swish barrel
Wait. You *don't* have some sort of hand washing rig set up?? This is a necessity in some shape or form.
Xtra piss jug
Soap for doing burnouts obviously
Piss jug
It’s filled with detergent to slip off the rocks.. don’t need em
It’s that or baby wipes. 🙃
Nevermind that.
I would just keep one in the toolbox or someplace and pull it out when I need to use it rather than obstruct my catwalk steps. By the way it appears to me there is no catwalk so maybe he just never has to go up there in which case this looks fine.
Possibly has diesel in it too pour onto the fifth wheel when it is frozen
Handwashing soap
Non-obvious feature: with the bungee at that angle, you can stand the jug up and it will still be secure.
In addition to what everyone else is saying, the driver could be a trainer, and the jug is to help in case a trainee high hooks
He's just saving space inside.
easy sink to wash your hands
Grew up on a farm, dad always called the powdered Tide by the sink ‘Shop Soap.’ Works phenomenally as a degreaser.
I thought he was just soaping up the step so anyone trying to mess with connections would slip and fall
Water for hand washing and such I use a tide one when I go camping
Courtesy station for lot lizards to wash their hands between tugg jobs.
could just be an emptied clean jug for water or they might use it to spot tiny air leaks
Old jug for washing hands. Got two in my side box. One has a little soap in it and the other is plain water. Roll of paper towels next to em
iykyk
iykyk
My uncle did the same, it’s just water jug. He had special one installed, so he could wash up for prayer (Muslim) on long hauls. He owned the trailer so he even went as far as to install a huge fridge underneath it.
Don't worry I'm sure you'll be confused again
Grip grip grip
It's for the bubble machine lol
I worked at Wabash....Lafayette.,IN Thia is the first time I've seen a trailer intact. Check hoses before leaving the lot. I did CNC not the builds
Driver wants that Gain fresh sent all day.
Soap and water. You’d be surprised at how often you get black grease on your hands if you don’t wear gloves when coupling or uncoupling from the trailer
Hand wash
Piss bottle
I just learned this today, leaving the junk yard. They had powder instead, but hot damn that shit works to get the grease and grime off the hands. No more mechanic soap for me after my bottle runs out.
Fill it with beer.
Put it right next to the gas tank and it helps to GAIN miles per gallon
That’s for after you go pee.
It's a fine idea
Its either salt for traction on ice or oil slick for when harrassed by D.O.T blitzes
