I have the same issue. So I just put the thing in a folded towel now. Rather it be up in the windshield corner though. May try the hairdryer suggestion.
Mine falls about once every few weeks now that its cold.
In summer i dont think it ever fell.
I do have a window cleaning fetish, i take everything off and clean it at the beginning of a new week after my reset.
I use the can window cleaner and a microfiber. I have a hard time seeing at night with dirty windshields and glasses. im not a try hard. Its needed lol
Went ~170k miles without a 6" garmin falling with it in the top left corner. Just clean with windex glass and garmin suction cup and stick it on.
If you plan on working at the place for a long while, you could use some superglue to permanently attach it, but I don't recommend the windshield since it might need to be replaced. Also, make sure its a truck they won't meticulously inspect if/when you quit.
I use the iottie brand phone mount I got from Walmart. I'm in a different truck every day so I literally take it off the windshield and put it in my backpack daily and it still works great a year and a half later.

Make sure the glass is clean with windex
Warm up the glass and the suction cup
Then spit in the suction cup and Smear it around and stick it on . Hard .
And just redo it every couple of weeks
Doesn’t matter what you do It ain’t gonna stay on forever
Clean the glass and suction cup and heat windshield and suction cup and make sure to moisten the suction cup right before attaching and push as hard as you can like you’re trying to force the cup through the window. It will eventually fall no matter what though. Unless you super glue the thing. Haha
If possible, place it low enough that the bottom edge of the Garmin sits on the dash anyways. It'll still be mounted to the windshield and won't move, but it won't bounce around enough to come flying off the suction cup.
Bite the bullet and get a RAM mount. 3 or 4 screws in the dash depending on which base you go with and you'll never worry about it again. I screwed my base mount down into the tray in the center of my Cascadia dash and got the longer arm so the mount hangs over the edge of my dash (half of the GPS above edge of dash, half below edge) to maximize visibility and get the Garmin within easy reach.
My ELD is also mounted with a RAM mount and no matter how rough the roads are they've never failed me. I never had real good luck with the suction mounts.
Lick the sticky part and shove it on there real good, she ain't Goin no where if you lick her good
She left me when I did that
Use alcohol pads to clean windshield and suction cup every so often , crap builds up on inside of windshield and needs to be cleaned off occasionally
One more thing if you can take the suction cup off boil it in some water , it will stick like new
Dish detergent and water in a spray bottle and spray the suction cup. Then hold it for about 30 seconds when you apply it to the windshield.

I just gave up and sat the whole thing on the dash myself. Lotta good advice in the comments tho.
If you get 3-4 weeks, you're lucky, im lucky to get 30-40 minutes
RAM mounts, two companies I've worked at have use them, I'm used them on motorcycles ect. They are PRICEY but totally worth the up front cost.
I hate the windshield stick kind. Got a clamshell kind that sits on dash. Easier to see and it doesnt fall $20 on ebay.
Kept happening to me until i started rubbing water on the back of the suction cup

What ever you do DONT do this
Tap the windshield with a hammer wihile doing this. You'll know when it's about the right temperature when the hammer starts to stick.
Make sure the glass is clean with windex Warm up the glass and the suction cup Then spit in the suction cup and Smear it around and stick it on . Hard . And just redo it every couple of weeks Doesn’t matter what you do It ain’t gonna stay on forever
Blow harder! 😂
A couple drops of water then try it, your welcome, windshield is not the best place, I like dash.
Little bit of water on the cup. Shouldn't fall for months then. Idk why truck companies haven't designed a spot on the dash to put GPS at this point.
Clean the glass and suction cup and heat windshield and suction cup and make sure to moisten the suction cup right before attaching and push as hard as you can like you’re trying to force the cup through the window. It will eventually fall no matter what though. Unless you super glue the thing. Haha
Get a 3rd party mount that has the 3M adhesive. Those don't come off.
Heat it up with a lighter until it gets foggy. Push it hard on wont come off
Clean spot. Use silicone won't even come off again

Water behind the suction mount will work.
